What is a "Classic" slot?

I'm currently involved in an issue with one of your accredited US facing casinos where I used a bonus for slots...The cashier page simply listed allowed games as "SLOTS" however, after winning just over 100.00 and checking my playthru...I noticed I hadn't been given any credit for playthru AND my winnings had been usurped. The email I received in return says that "It's a CLASSIC slots coupon and allowable games are CLEARLY shown on cashier page. The word CLASSIC isn't even in their 'game viewer' page. In fact, the only place I even SEE the word CLASSIC anywhere on the site,is the name of the bonus 75% classic match bonus".. Does ANYONE know what classic means and why an accredited casino would try so hard to hide it?
I didn't mention name of casino because,if I'm wrong ,then I'm wrong but, after further investigation, I do not see any definition of 'classic slots' anywhere on their site.

.

Classic slots is usually the term used for 3 reel slots. It is quite normal for casinos to have one section for "video slots" and one section for "classic slots" or something similar.

Classic slots often have a higher RTP% than video slots.

Jackpot 6000 is an example of a classic slot from NetEnt:

Thanks for the clarity. It still irks me,however, that nowhere on their site is the simple definition and information you provided me. In fact, in the list of EXCLUDED games it says 'SOME real series slots". I'm still waiting to hear back from their support about where, exacvtly do they specifically name their 'classic' games. Thanks again.

Do you have a screenshot of your coupon page in the cashier?

It will show you the included games, and usually under excluded/non playthrough games where it says "some real series slots" you can click on it and a list will appear.

IMO if all real series slots are excluded, which they are since they aren't classic slots, they should be listed under excluded games on the coupon, as then the software will not allow you to play them at all.

As an aside, its a shame that just about every post of yours is a complaint of some kind. Maybe if you participated more in general discussions you won't have so many problems?

I am guessing it's iNetBet and this coupon?

Classic Slots Bonus Coupon"*

Valid until Dec 1st
Deposit between $10 - $100
Receive 75% Match Bonus
Play through deposit and bonus 15x

(Can be redeemed twice per account)

If so, the word classic is in the coupon title. Seems like an honest mistake on your part since you didn't know the different and hopefully they will make it right. I would double check next time, click the excluded games on the coupon details like Nifty said and you'll see what games are allowed exactly and which ones aren't.

I hope you get this cleared up and you win some more $$ with your deposit

A classic slot is clearly shown as a separate category in the casino you are playing at.T he tabs for game listings show these with the other slots distinctly under a tab real series video slots- and as noted- the coupon details box clearly shows which you can play and which you are excluded- .

Having said that I once started to play real series on this coupon as I thought I had used the real series coupon (it was to the right of the classic slots coupon and was 50% rather than 75% and I read the wrong number). I noticed no play through when I went to check on progress and immediately realised my mistake-

I stopped play (I was a little ahead) emailed the casino (no live chat;) and let them know and asked that they restart the process with the correct coupon and wipe any gains I had. They responded quickly and did as I requested which they were well within there rights to refuse.

Perhaps it was because I was a long time player there but I think the key point was to stop and notify as SOON as the mistake was realised.

If the software prevents play on excluded games, how can such an error occur?

The logical conclusion is that the software (RTG) does not, and the poster is confusing it with Rival (which does).

iNetBet churn out loads of these tricky coupons, where you can't just "go play slots", but have to check carefully which ones are allowed. It can vary widely, and often with no obvious logic. A Christmas coupon, for example, might only allow play on 6 slots that have a Christmas theme as their only connection. A "popular slots" coupon may only allow the 6 most popular slots to be played. There is often a "new slots" coupon that can allow play on as little as one slot, which would have been released recently.

The difference is a little vague for players who have never been to a physical casino, as ALL slots are "video slots" when your only experience of them is seeing them on a monitor. UK players would consider "classic slot" to be an older style fruit machine, three reels and one winline, with a video slot being one of the newer £500 jackpot kiosk Vegas style multi line 5 reel video slots. A UK player is at least in a good position to make a pretty accurate guess as to the meaning of this coupon, even without a definition on the site.
