Since joining Casinomeister.com roughly 1 month ago, I've been trying to weed out the bad casino's.

Now... before ever joining this website, I NEVER had a good feeling about anything that wasn't posted on BONUSRATING.COM, and some of those ain't so good either (in retrospect, many...). For the longest time, I used their rating system, and I now use Casinomeister's. While some are quite good, some of the one's that get high-praise have left a had taste in my mouth. That just may be bad luck though.

I would like to know what casino's are the best to go to for fair gameplay (what you believe has been the best), specifically for BJ and Video Poker games. Personally, I just started going to 32Red, and while there bonuses are meager, and their onlines support is so-so, the gameplay is incredibly fair (I haven't felt this way about a casino for 2 years now) and of course, they have prompt pay-outs.

So again, what are the best casino's to go to (in your own personal opinion... not from what you've read) for the best BJ and Video Poker? And feel free to include what you think are the worst...

This information will be most useful.

Thank you for your time and effort.

I have the same feeling as you about online Blackjack. Very hard to find a fair game. It's so bad in fact - I hardly ever play it any more, preferring casino poker games which seem a lot better.
Personally I think Casino-on-Net is the fairest. Boss Media seem alright as does Playtech, which I've only just recently started playing (Blackjack Switch).
Even though Cryptologic are my favorite casinos, their BJ is diabolical. I don't like MG either, but I don't play it there very often.

Don't know anything about Video Poker - I find it far to tedious to play.

I have won several thousands $ playing BJ at BossMedia - (always with a bonus)

I have also won alot on Playtech casinos and lately a lot on Chartwell casinos.
In period I find Net entertainment casinos fair - but they are very streaky!

I cant remember when I last won on a MicroGaming or a RTG casino

Im a flatbetter, normally I flatbet with 10$ - and I always play with bonus

Well then, rather than the software being used, which specifi casino's have you had luck playing BJ or VP?

The same software should play exactly the same regardless of which casino it is.

If it does not - we may as well all give up online gambling now!

In the last 3 years I have played almost 1 million hands of BJ mainly in bossmedia, playtech, cryptologic and microgaming casinos.
With all SW I had really good luck and also even bad luck. Even when there was a time for each SW to doubt it's fairness, I'm now quite sure, that those Software Providers offer fair gaming. I already lost 15 in a row (playtech) but I also won 12 in a row (also playtech) and this only when I really was paying attention about the stats.
I hate those postings like "the sw is not fair because I lost 8 in a row". This may not happen to you in landbased casinos too often, but how many games do you play an hour on landbased casinos? 40?
Online you can do 40 games in 3 minutes so of course unlikely things happen more often.

I am about to get a nice stat tool programmed, so that everyone can check his game stats and I'm quite sure that the mentioned SW Providers will pass this test.

So I think if you are looking to make money you should not concentrate so much on the game fairness (at least on the popular sw-providers) but more on fairness concerning withdrawals, bonus rules and service.

Thanks for the heads up KK, I believe I'm retiring this instant. Half-joking of course... That's why I've originally posted the question where's the best place to play BJ and VP. I guess technically, what you're saying likely has far more proof than anything I could ever prove off of my "feel" instincts (which could really never be proven), but I suppose I have a difficult time accepting that software plays exactly the same across the board at let's say all the PlayTech casino's. I like to know where most people "feel" that the game they play (in this case BJ or VP) is most beatable.

And based on my heavy losses over the past two years, I'm pretty much at the end of my online casino days. This is really a last ditch effort to go the casino's where people who come to this website feel they have the most luck. 32Red does it for me, I just want to take note on which other casino's are great. Information is the most powerful key.

I'm not sure if you're being serious, but you really want opinions on which casinos players think they get lucky at and the BJ and VP are "beatable" :eek2:

*apologies for stating the obvious, but...* on-line casinos are still casinos. Even if they have great customer service and completely fair games the more you play at them the more you'll lose. The only exception is if you play when bonuses put the odds in your favour, but if you've had heavy losses you can't be doing that.

Huh... I really just want to know where people have had the best of luck playing BJ and VP. I suppose I am half-joking, but at the same time, I think it's great information to hear where people have done well.

If other members are doing well (and well is better than I've been doing), I'd sincerely love to know what casino's they're getting lucky on specifically with BJ and VP (because I enjoy playing these games).

Sorry for the late reply, I'm not able to visit frequently. For video poker, Microgaming is the clear choice IMO. The pay schedules are very reasonable, usually in the 98.5% to 99.5% range, but the autoplay feature is what really sets Microgaming apart, enabling anyone to play at strategy levels that are at or near optimal.

And Microgaming's multi-line games are very well-designed. The 10-play Power Poker games use color very effectively to designate various levels of winning hands, and the new 50-play game continues the theme.

Microgaming video poker also offers a wide range of betting levels. The 50-play game is available for pennies, and the Aces & Faces pay schedule features only a slight penalty for single-coin play. This offers the player a return of nearly 98.5% while wagering only 50 cents per "spin," with the excitement of 50 pay lines.

I'm not totally convinced of the fairness of any online casino, but Microgaming seems among the most trustworthy. Looking at video poker alternatives, RTG offers good multi-line games, but I find the single-line games hard on the eyes, and many RTG casinos choose very poor pay schedules for their games, not to mention the generally low quality of RTG operators.

I'm not a fan of Crypto (InterCasino et. al.) video poker. The software doesn't run very well on my WinXP computer, and the design of the games is awkward, causing me to mis-click more than once. Also, the minimums are high. Boss and CON are way too primitive, with bad pay schedules as well.

Playtech is nothing special, and the pay schedules on the 10- and 25-play games are reduced. English Harbour group has some interesting games, but the minimums are too high. Gambling Federation has some attractive video poker games, but there are way too many other reasons to avoid them.

Blackjack bores me, but Microgaming offers games that are probably as good as any, and the autoplay option is a unique asset. I'd like to see more innovation, such as "multiple action" games, or other ideas similar to the multi-line concept in video poker.

Regarding specific Microgaming casinos, 32 Red seems to be the favorite here, although I've never played them. I've never had a major problem with any Microgaming casino, but my favorites would probably be the Trident Group and the Vegas Partner Lounge group.

Good luck!

Wow, that's a great review.

Thanks Sam Monella! (...and indirectly, thank you for reminding me to put that soup back in the refrigerator, it's been out for a day now)

I would most certainly agree on the MG casino's having the best VP, and while I've been trying to get away from BJ at all casino's (based on brutal cards pretty much everywhere for a year now), I would have to consider giving MG another shot at their multihand BJ (but the door is permanently closed on PlayTech, Crypto., RTG, Boss, for BJ).

I used to laugh when people said that MG offers the best software around, but I would have to agree now... at least for VP (although I'll always say that PlayTech seemed to be much better than it is now a couple of years ago... from my experience).

I've also found myself wanting to end the game quickly over at RTG, because it does seem to make a person's head spin (BJ), and like you Sam Monella, I have difficulties focussing when playing VP. Which doesn't work for me, because I need to be sitting down for a few hours placing min. (increase when winning) bets. RTG seems to speed up and down all the time, which isn't good for patient players.

All in all, good information.

Hold on! Are you playing for enjoyment - or trying to win?

If only for enjoyment, then you really should play Intercasino blackjack - because the hands the dealer gives himself will have you in stitches! :D

If you're trying to win, I wouldn't bother with BJ at all. The only sites where I see a reasonably fair game are C.O.N. & Harrods.

If you're playing for enjoyment AND trying to win, then go for the more exciting 'jackpot' type games - like the VP you mentioned, slots, 3-card & stud poker.

Whatever you do, have fun, and good luck!

Hi KasinoKing,

(lol) I didn't quite look at it that way, as to what I said. Fun and losing don't quite work well together (VERY odd couple), do they?

Actually, if people are having fun losing, by all means... It's their fetish...

I echo your sentiments about "said" casino's BJ... The BJ dealer there is an unparalleled Meistro.

I've pretty much given up on BJ... Those lucrative days are long gone. I'm curious if anybody out there is still making good money on it. But for me, these days, VP at MicroGaming can be quite profitable.

I'm sorry JohnSteed, but each time I see you have posted I only read it out of morbid curiosity to see what you come out with next.

Internet Blackjack is NOT profitable. It seems a long time ago you had a bit of luck on it. You thought this luck would carry on forever. What is it you're down now? $20,000?

Microgaming VP is NOT profitable. If again you are experiencing a short burst of luck, please please stop. Otherwise in two years time you will start a thread all about how you expected to always win on MG VP and another $20k later you've decided its rigged.

You say you're almost at the end of your casino days. I strongly suggest you draw them to an end now before you blow any more money chasing 'profitable' games

Hmmm, well, it's true that I do feel that online BJ isn't what it once was in my personal experience (because I had done well up until the end of '03). And yes, I was doing incredibly well from '01-03, wherein I was pursing lots of money. To me, the games played differently, and I was surely consistently winning. At the same time, when you keep losing on every deposit, and it always feels like you're fighting to stave-off losses, and this goes on for 2-years, how could one not feel the need to post? For me, yes, it's difficult accepting the game feels different (and I don't mean simply by the losing). My issues don't lie in the fact that I've been doing poorly lately, it's that how could someone do so well, playing a basic strategy that seemed to be playing off for a solid two years, and do so drastically poorly over the next two? We're not talking about one week up, one week down, the shift has been too extreme.

I was half-joking about giving-up on online gaming. But I am giving-up on BJ.

But where have I ever stated that MicroGaming VP is NOT profitable? Where have I used $20,000... it was $40,000 at PlayTech casino's over the past 2-years. That's what I lost specifically playing BJ at PlayTech casino's in that time. I've also made money at other casino's, specifically playing VP (and not just recently). I'm not burried in losses overall, because like I said, I did extremely well at BJ in my first couple of years. I've never stated that "luck" will carry on forever, I might have said it "felt like" it could carry-on forever at times (and who's never had that feeling from time-to-time?).

Maybe your perception of online BJ is different from mine... I haven't a clue.

Aside from that though, I would like to hear who's profitting from BJ these days, and what casino's are they going to.

I typically make a small profit nowadays playing BJ compared to last year and the year before that. Currently, I usually play some of the monthlies: Intercasino, Will Hill, Littlewoods, Cowboy Casino. Also, I pretty much only play with bonuses, so that's limited my play since I've played over 150 different casinos since I started in April 2003.

I say "typically" above because I can lose money say at Will Hill and/or Cowboy (like this month), but win enough at Intercasino (this month as well) to make up for the losses.

Every once in a while, I'll find a reload bonus that allows BJ and is worth my time. So, overall, I'd say I'm still making a profit playing BJ, but it's not the amount I used to make when I had a lot of different casinos that I hadn't played at yet.

P.S. I have yet to play "sticky" or "phantom" (whichever one you prefer) bonuses in those 150+ casinos I mentioned.

"Well then, rather than the software being used, which specifi casino's have you had luck playing BJ or VP?"

...CowboyCasino, GoldClub, Casino.Net

...but I still think that my experience is the same - Its the software and the the casino who counts!

I think RTG software blackjack is best.

inetbet : $20 deposit + $ 6 bonus
cashed out $71 after wager requirement $520 with only $1 flatbet.

bodog : $20 deposit + $ 4 bonus
cashed out $54 after wager requirement $480 with only $1 flatbet.

Seriously - great results though!
