what are your most shameful gambling moments?

- Winning £10k then blowing it back instead of withdrawing
- Betting my whole wage packet on ridiculously high slot and live casino play
- Borrowed to play ending up £30K in the whole...chasing the dragon.

My story I lost about £18k on slots playing high bets most of it on Danger £40bet in like 2-3days, my friend was pushing me to bet football matches I never bet football horse or dogs,he told me to bet £82 in total, win return was £4320,not sure what I did but I bet £820,Sunday night my friend call me you hit a ticket you won £4320 lol,I login wow wtf £43,200 on my account,I cashout give my friend £3200 and I never bet again high bets,£2 bet max if I hit a good win I go to £5

Well it is truly embarrassing to share but I think the most shameful gambling moment I have is when I shouted so loud that I won but it turns out that it was just another cliffhanger move in the game. hahah it really got me there. I really thought that I will win but yeah the excitement was replaced with shame! hahaha... but to think of it, there is nothing wrong with our shamefully moments, as long as we did enjoy haha!

I know this is far from the same as what some people have done but I'm always ashamed of myself when I'm able to build up a decent bankroll over a few weeks or months just to blow it all in a few days time when I'm having a really bad streak that sends me to tiltsville.

Luckily we're only talking about profit here and not the rent money or whatever but still... it's stupid.
you ashamed of blowing up in few days? What about few mins? What about go with 20$ depo for fun and 20 mins later you betting 2000$? :D :D suffery gib :D

Gosh reading this thread is sobering.

I have only ever lost my shit once, years ago in a London slot arcade.

I was playing a fruit machine at 10p a spin, it had a £4.80 jackpot.

I put about £60 in it without a jackpot and it was playing like a total bastard. It had a hi lo real to move up the features, I pressed higher than a 2, a 1 came in and I lost it and smashed the glass with my fist.

Got thrown out of the place but didnt have to pay for the glass lol

The only other moment like that was in the Golden Nugget casino was up nearly 2 grand on blackjack on an insane winning run. Playing roulette thought I would try betting my 2 fav numbers at £25 each, for 2 spins. £100 gamble, if it lost, I would walk out nicely up. £1500 later start betting £50 on each, and on my last £100 in my pocket, one of the numbers came in. Vowed never to do that again and I havnt thankfully.

I was going to post about that time i had $6000 balance and losing it in 12 hands on blackjack
but i already posted it

my most shameful thing from gambling since then?
not a lot, i have been cashing out if i had won something

Back in 2014, was offshore and got upto 16k from a £50 double.

win after win, long story short i went E/W on a 13/2, wasn’t even placed.., that was 8k each way...

So from a balance of touching 20k just in my betway account i watched it hit zero.

that’s the one and only time I’ve been so pathetic, never since, infact it’s taught me to be more anti gambling and sensible.

still hurts from time to time however, that’s a lot of money to anyone.

In 2015 I lost £50000.00 in under an hour on Sky Vegas High stakes online roulette. I was left with £1000.00 of my life savings.

It was the only time gambling has reduced me to actual tears.

I'm still ashamed of myself to this day and haven't played roulette since.

You should be proud of yourself for being mentally capable of handling such a heavy hitting loss back in 2015.

Many people simply wouldn't of been able to cope with a loss like that... Glad you're here with us in 2021.

And I agree, stay away from roulette. Yuck!

I regret ever signing up for and playing at videoslots, they caused me nothing but hell, glad I don't deal with them anymore, thats the the only shameful I have ever done.

Thank you so much

Your kind words genuinely mean a lot to me!

Happy New year to you and your family.

Most gamblers will have experiences like this. Its a high risk, high adrenaline hobby that can have huge highs and lows. Hugely enjoyable, and soul destroying at the same time sometimes lol

I am so glad I am a gambler, because I think anyone who's never gambled has missed out on life in a little way.

That is SO true!

The only other thing I can compare it with feelings-wise, is being in love... or being an Arsenal supporter :D

I feel you mate, but hope you stay in PL, wouldn't be same without NLD:s :)
I didn't say that I am an Arsenal supporter - I'm a Liverpool fan, so I know how years of disappointment felt before last season ;)

Well, I don’t have anything bloke-stories yet to share but I am really stoked with the ‘shooting for the moon’ story. So, here goes. It was in the spring of 1964 when David Threlfall convinced William Hill to give him 1,000 to 1 odds that a man would land on the moon prior to January 1971.

So many but here is a choice and true one, I busted out and before leaving my fav casino at the time - checked my bonus and I had $50 bonus there.
So went to Razor shark and span $5 spins (max) 3rd spin hit the 2500x coin - so a nice Flip to $12,500 - (that’s not enough right ?) so then proceeded to go to some old school games - Black gold I think - flipped that $12,500 to $38,500.

oh just so you know it was four days before Xmas and I did not have the cash for an international flight home - I was planning flights; gifts , hookers blow the whole nine yards - then just double checked my site and read the following nightmare inducing statement “max cashout on cash bonuses is $200…….”

first time in years my bottom lip quivered for a bit; then was like fu*k it betting like Hollywood ! And blew the money I was never gonna get

(note - I mean I spent $500 of my own money that day up and down on Razor, why not then, NOPE had to be in under $20 of the bonus cash)….
