Many thai people have started playing on these strange sites. these are advertised quite openly on social media such as Facebook. I asked my friend to show me where he plays and took a few screenshots. funny detail that when depositing, the money goes to a guy named Jakan (I edited the last name out)
a lot of pirated games and strange web addresses. I have understood that these sites are operated from China and there are hundreds of sites to choose from.

because gambling is prohibited in Thailand, people find themselves in a pretty desperate position when playing on such sites. it would be interesting to know the return percentages of those slots.

Yeah, I've been seeing some of these types of sites filtering through on the Complaints side of things. They're Asian -- read "Chinese" AFAICT -- garbage sites flooding into the market. They are totally unregulated, basically pirate sites that are just out there to hoover up the cash and disappear as needs be. PLAYER BEWARE!

I took the liberty of shrinking those images down a little for better readability. Apologies if that causes any inconvenience.

We used to play some games with my friends on similar sites about a decade ago. We just walked over to the ATM and used that for transferring money to some people and it would show up on the casino account. I don´t remember much about those casinos but I remember that people were talking about them being from run from Cambodia. I don´t think we ever got to the point where we could have had a chance to withdraw anything, we just gambled it all away haha. I assume the RTP was garbage, but we also played a bunch of Baccarat.

There are two legal ways to gamble in Thailand, one is the state lottery and the other is horce races. State lottery is drawn twice a month, the return percentage is really poor, as is probably the case with all lotteries. a lottery ticket costs 100THB(~3USD) where you get a pre-generated line of numbers. there are lots and lots of lotto sellers in practically every gas station and 7/11 yard. the seller gets about 7-8THB(~0.25USD per sold lottery ticket it was new information for me that horse racing is legal. in any case, everything else is highly prohibited and the punishments are severe. I have been freeing my countrymen from prison because they have been caught playing cards for money. the charges have been excessive, such as "running an illegal casino" in order to increase the bribe money.

Although playing cards for money is prohibited it is quite common here among the locals. Deck of cards is kept hidden when not played with, even though playing cards are not illegal, in fact owning more than 120 cards is. Game is arranged on the floor on a towel, where it is easy to collect them if the need arises. Out on the road, children are hired with candy or a few coins to report / warn if the police happen to drive by. popular game is Pok Deng
