Does anyone know of a VISA gift card that works in online casinos
(... and is available to Canadians) ?

It was looking like the Virtual VISA at www.giftcards.com would be the ticket until I saw in their FAQ that it cannot be used for online gambling transactions :-(

Hi Shawn,
there is the "all access visa" which is prepaid and/or reloadable.. and there is "futura gift card" (futura has a charge per transaction and will deny it is from them) do not get vanilla visa as it will not work.. greendot also will not work..
all access (aka gift2go) can be bought at walgreens, gibbs gas stations or "on the run" at mobil gas stations.

Andi - thanks for the Moneymart tip. So that Mastercard does indeed work at online casinos? I didn't think any Mastercards worked at all for online casinos ...

Has anyone ever used that NetSpend prepaid VISA gift card? I just emailed their customer support and they say it will work for online casinos.

Greendot works fine for me, but then again I have only been playing at the grandprive ones (and I mean playing because I've never had such bad luck at any casino....EVER!). They're the only one that will take my credit cards anymore. Roxy won't take anything I throw their way. I haven't tried netspend but I guess I'll have to to break away from the black pit at grandprive. Maybe that's why they will take any card I try, because they know I'm not going to walk away with anything. Hmmm...

Oh and there's a prepaid card called wwwcard or something like that that will let you fund it "instantly" using another visa card. Yeah, well their "instant" is more like let them contact the bank to verify a bunch of hooplah, etc. I tried it on a weekend and what bank is open on the weekend? I called CS and told them to cancel my charge (like $8.95 or something for setup costs) and they didn't bother trying to keep me. Oh well...

Be very careful with Greendot... I used them for years! then I made a deposit of $300 and they froze my funds... said "suspicious activity" ... I will not use them again.
I have stuck with prepaid allaccess visa and netspend visa ever since and have had no problems with them!

That wasn't my post that asked for the information. I did ask about how the information is shared. I had thought it was this board that prefered a PM rather than a regular post. Reason I ask is these kind of questions seem to get posted fairly regularly and I've been tempted to post a reply but unsure if I should. Could be it was another board where it was discussed.

Somehow, parents always seem to know even if they never openly acknowledge. The DOJ knows whats up even if they(hopefully) never acknowledge and they could stop it all on a dime if they saw fit but currently they are not sweating the small stuff. Its all politics as well as getting the chosen examples. Thus you are correct and it is no big secret and there is nothing to hide. If they want me, you, CM, etc., they will get you and make ones life a living hell whether guilty or innocent. Reality is a bitch............FYI,the DOJ or similar has been all over J.Todd's website. I use the prepaid all access gift card. I usually purchase them from Giant Eagle grocery store. However, I reciently purchased a reloadable card, and it can be loaded at check cashing places, such as Cash Connection.
But please always know that the DOJ knows everything.

Hi Shawn, as Andi said, the prepaid M/C from MoneyMart works everywhere. I've used it for a year and a half and never been turned down.

As to the other suggestions, they are for US residents, not Canadians. No sense signing up for a reloadable Netspend card if you're in Canada. How are you going to reload it?

As far as the PM'ing, I'd tend to agree. At the very least, this stuff should be in the America The Beautiful forum. At least that's somewhat private, and you have to be a full member to view and post in it.

Pinbaby, I must comment on this... first of all I have never seen anyone post on the public forum and expect to be PM'd without saying so in thier post!
second of all.... If he wanted it "private" then why post in the Public forum??

The netspend I use is not reloadable... I use a prepaid.. thats all.
We all know that Vanilla Visa, and Greendot are useless for Internet casinos.

Hey Shawn...no, Money Mart doesn't offer a gift card. This Mastercard is issued through People's Trust in B.C. and is reloadable. It's $20 to purchase, and subsequent loads are free if you perform any sort of transaction at Money Mart. If you simply load funds with no transaction, it's $2 per load and I think it holds up to $5,000. They give you a temporary card on the spot, and you should receive your permanent card within approximately two weeks. It is exactly like a Mastercard, and you can also withdraw your funds from any ATM machine. As Andi mentioned, just make sure that your address at whichever casino matches the address on file with your Mastercard..or you'll be denied.

If you want more info on it, go to Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) and browse the site. Once you have your card, you can also login through there to check your balance and transactions.

Mystic, you're not getting my point. Shawn didn't ask for people to PM him because he's Canadian, there's no need to "hide" any payment options for Canadians (not yet anyway). The only point I was trying to make is that the options you were posting weren't viable options for Canadians, none of them are available for us up here. But they are for US players....and I just thought maybe you guys wanted to be a little more hush hush about them.

I don't understand your response....what is the difference who purchases it, isn't it a PRE-LOADED card? It's not a real credit card.

Greendot for instance doesn't ask for an I.D.

I thought it was strange. "shrug"


I went out to a few places who were supposed to carry them (they were listed on their website in my area) and the stores didn't carry them. I guess I will just stick with what I have been using.

Where to look...

If you go to your local check cashing business(Check N Go, Chexmart, ect) They have a promotion going on, the card is FREE!!! That saves $9.95, you do need picture ID. The card does verify address and is reloadable.

I believe this is a nationwide promo, hope that helps.

I got a gifttogo card at Walgreens, Visa gift card, for $30.

Spinning at Inetbet as I type, not doing well, but such is gambling.

Do not get Greendot, had to spend that one on merchandise as it was denied everywhere.

At least I have a shot at winning and a wire transfer which Inetbet does rather well.

For netspend you only need an id for the reloadable card , if you just want the one time one or Gift version , non reloadable there is no id needed

Whats great about the reloadable one is that you can load it with paypal
