Videoslots RPT - What do you consider is workable before canning a Casino?

Hi guys,

I've just been on the support at Videoslots, and requested my rtp for the last 3 months as I just seem to deposit on there and its gone really quickly, a ton of dosh down the drain!, my respective RTPs for the last 3 months are 70%, 64% and 58%. Which is horrendous. At what point do you decide to ditch a casino?

I had similar at another casino (Betway) a few years back.

Most casino memberships display a history over time of up's and downs but Betway never budged, EVER.

It got to the stage where I thought 'I'm determined to get SOMETHING out of these wankers, ANYTHING' and them I'm off.

That day never came and eventually I gave up, must have been roughly 1K down in total (this was over a lengthy period not short term)

It is the ONLY casino account I've ever closed in a 14 year history (Closed long before new UKGC rules etc)

If you decide to 'Can' them, I'd simply stop depositing and try and find a luckier casino, do not close the account or Self Exclude, this can and probably WILL lead to big time problems for you in the future, more so as a UK resident/ UK Player.

im on a similar run at casino luck i checked in accounts the other day after another losing deposit total 2200 no withdrawals and thats with match bonuses aswell mainly playing doa at .27 and .36 stakes

If you 'shop around' on here there are several threads detailing knock on effects caused by SE or account closure.

In brief the main one which could be a problem IMO would be loss of a potential withdrawal or winnings.

Players have won at a casino and withdrawn, only to find that because they had previously closed an account at another casino (usually with that same group) then their winnings are voided.

Sometimes these players have been 'lucky' enough to have their deposit(s) returned but in other cases not.

The UKGC (Gambling Commission) have gone shit hot on this responsible gambling and staying in control and 'helping' problem gamblers.

Closing accounts no longer is an reassuring as it used to be in that 'That place ain't having another penny off me!' - It flags potential problems (sometimes problems which do not exist IMO)

This is currently a 'snowball' problem with SE and things will get a lot worse before we see any improvements, trust me on this one

One of my all time favourite saying sis 'Prevention is better than cure'

As pissed off as we get after a losing or string of losing sessions better to just close the browser, shut down the PC for the night and start another day with a 'fresh head on'

Yeah I don't know if I'd ditch a casino for good based on those figures, there are many factors to take into account such as what games are played, bet sizes, how much entertainment you're getting etc. If you feel that you're not getting any joy from losing multiple deposits at a particular site then it doesn't hurt to shop around.

It's not like we're not spoilt for choice when it comes to selection, and Videoslots is amongst the best out there. Best thing I found when losing consecutive deposits like that is to take a short breather for a month or two for fear of chasing my losses. The games aren't going anywhere and why feed dead slots because there is no telling when you'll see a return on your losses, it could be next session or another 50!

I don't see why you would come to the conclusion that a casino is "unlucky" or anything like that based on the RTP figure.

RTP is just a guide for what are very volatile slot games, nothing more nothing less.

For me, its a few factors. I just recently left VPL Casinos. I had a VIP Host that never returned emails, One email he sent me , he called me by another players name. Huge technical problems that were always shrugged off. Even after sending screen shots of what clearly were Microgaming errors, It was quickly looked at and then I was told to reinstall. And then I had a audit done because after depositing close to 2 k, and not once getting over 100 dollars..Was nothing but zeros that showed up, and again,,shrug. The last one was the casino started sending updates. I thought screw that. Im not having stuff update that I cant see just so I can play. . Thats when enough is enough

* after note.I just started playing at Videoslots the last couple of weeks. I could be wrong but I don't see the Casino set up for "gambling" purposes. Its more structured for entertainment. I love it there, but again its all about perspective.

Naturally, we all want a RTP > 100% as then we would be winners. Just as naturally, only a fraction of the players can be winners and most have to be losers to "finance" the winners. Some will have long sessions and still lose, speak high RTP, some will have short frustrating sessions and lose the lot in virtually no time and with no entertainment value, speak low RTP.

At every casino i play at i have quite long spells where everything seems to go against me. No matter what slot i chose, it feels like it has been emptied just before i started

After i registered at VS it took 4 months to have the first proper withdrawal, same goes for a few others i signed-up to last years. E.g. Guts, i signed up December 2014 and my first withdrawal was last week!!! But it was large enough to put me ahead overall.

Hence, RTP numbers are just an indication of how much entertainment you are getting, obviously the lower the more frustrating the sessions are, but inevitably at some point the odds will shift in your favor. That is my experience, at least.
