Hi all,

My account has been locked yesterday at Videoslots for apparently no reason (at least not a reason that would justify locking my account). So what happened? I was collecting freespins during the weekend in videoslots freerolls and played them yesterday evening. For the amount of spins they paid very little so i was frustrated or even mad and went to support and said i was frustrated. There was no insulting or anything i just said i was mad at the outcome of the spins. Support asked me in the meantime if i feel is gambling becoming an issue and i said yes (remember i was pretty frustrated from the spins), but i understood it in the sense that its often frustrating (like yesterday) not in the sense thats its generally an issue and frustrating all the time. He went on to ask if he should take any further actions and i said clearly no. Suddenly i see that my account has been locked and I was told will be locked for at least 6 months. So I feel this is all a big misunderstanding and would I have known what they think when they ask that question I would have never said yes its an issue. I swear I didnt understand it in the way that its generally an issue for me (and my life).

My deposits and withdrawals at Videoslots are well balanced (also for this month). I have not deposited huge sums in the casino. So i ask myself what I have done and if this is not a big exaggeration from their side.

Can you tell me what you think?

kind regards,
varverooo

PS: Of course now they keep my cashback, good for them.

I think, maybe saying yes to feeling gambling was becoming an issue wasn't the right thing to say, but from their point can understand the result of that.

Slots can be eratic and pay out , and can also shut up shop and it can look like they have it in for you. I guess thats just how it is - they can't be winners
all the time. Not sure what else to say or suggest.

Support VS on this one. As a personal bit of advice to the OP id take a few weeks time out from it bud. See how you feel about everything after. gaming needs to be fun and when it aint walk away

I'd PM Dan regarding your upcoming weekend booster funds. This was earned before the lockdown. They should either pay it to you now (or on Friday), or it's waiting there for you in six months when you re-open your account IMO. Ditto for any race winnings.

As soon as you tell a casino your gambling is out of control then of course they should take action.

When we are frustrated our true feelings come out so it seems to me you've admitted you feel like you maybe have a problem and didn't like your own answer.

Wether you were frustrated or not I feel like VS took the right move here.

Thank you all for your opinion! I'm a bit surprised because I thought I was right but apparently this is a very sensitive question in the gambling industry and I didnt know it would have such (well supported) consequences. It however remains the case that I have no gambling issue and my gambling is definitely not out of control (as I said, I cashed out nearly as much as I deposited). Anyone at VS looking at my account history can see that. But I might well take your advice and step back from gambling a little bit. I will try Jasminebed, thx for the advice. Thank you all again I value this place very much!

Kind regards,

If you were offered and you said said no to any action they offered then they shouldn't of locked your account.

Personally, I don't hold many VS support staff in high regard.. There are a few that are exemplary but half are not very well trained, can be rude and dismissive and they do not appear to communicate properly between one another.

You can be told something by one staff and have another staff say something completely different to other players so i always email my chat transcripts when I am done to look back on and refer to.

You should be doing the same as you may have confused them without knowing it.

Just as a little update in case anyone is interested:

Videoslots paid out my cashback from casino races and the weekend booster, although they were apparently not obliged to do it. So thank you Videoslots for this nice gesture on Easter as I seriously wasn't expecting this.

Kind regards and Happy Easter,

Sorry but this is enough to lock an account, no matter what the customer says.
