Veryfication...not funny with videoslots

I signed up at videoslots today and I decided to veryfy my account before I deposit and that was a really smart decision.

I uploaded two files-one my driver licence and the other one the bill. Both rejected.

Here is why.

I'm a Asian, and some Asian name doesn't have a middle name, only first name and First name consists of two words, for example
"ji sung",-this is a name of a famous soccer player- as you can see there is blank space.

I tried to put my name, but the registration window said I can't put blank space, so I put like "JiSung" without space , I had no choice-well,of course I did not put ji sung, I put my real name there-

But of course on my driver licence, there is blank space on my name. That's why my driver licence was rejected. I talked to the live chat-very friendly, she said she would ask some department to change my name from no space to having space and I have to uplaod my licence again. That's fine though a little bit annoyed because I couldn't put my name right from the start because of their ridiculous rule-no space on the name-.

My bill was rejected because there is no issued date, it has a due date, which is 10th January 2015, but they need the issued date. I checked every bill I have include my credit card statement, none of them has the issued date, only due date. The livechat's suggestion? To ask my bank to make another statement with the issued date.

I decide not to bother...I appreciate if you know any onlice casino that accepts with the document with the due date please?

Until last month I played at only one MG download casino where I am veryfied long time ago, I want to play netent, WMS games too. so I want to join some other casino.

Your suggestion will be really helpful.

Thank you.

No I don't think you have to do that since this really isn't a complaint you want to have solved. In that case you should do that.

They are a bit stingy I know, but it's for both yours and their safety. I spell one of my names with a w but in my papers it says v.
That wasn't ok without a good explanation either. At least they believed my reason for it ;)

I can't help you with any suggestions but I'm sure someone else will give you that.

No idea on how strict casinos are for registering etc.

But i guess you could go down the list of accredited casinos with the games you are looking for like GUTS, BETAT , MrGreen, Casinoluck etc. and send the reps a pm explaining your circumstances and ask their advice.

They all have very friendly Reps who are always willing to help and see if they can get things fixed.

Might not help but its worth a try.

While it is probably not required I think you should send them a PM and see if they can get this solved for you.

So many problems that the regular CS have a problem with have been solved almost instantly by a CM rep. They want you to be a customer, you have a legitimate difficulty so it can't hurt to give them a chance.

Hi Sueyh,

First of all, I'm sorry for the hassle. We are setting up a new procedure regarding verification of documents to make it as easy as possible.

1. I have arranged your name so can you please upload your document again.

2. Regarding not being able to sign up with a space in your name it is a bug, we have sent this to our IT department to have it fixed tomorrow. Thank you for reporting this issue.‏

3. Regarding your proof of address. A due date is fine. Please upload it again and let me know and I will check it myself.

Ahhhh, the power of a CM membership. Feels good, don't it?

In all seriousness though, great job Phillip and thank you for your attention to this board. I am certain your casino works hard for all their patrons.

Best New Casino of 2014 indeed!

Hi ProbabilityZero,

Good afternoon. Hope you're well. :)

Yes, UK players can verify themselves via their UK Citizens Card.

Thanks again, and do let us know should you have any further questions, as we'll gladly assist.

Kind Regards,
Lucas

CS should be trained to push such matters further up the chain rather than simply reject the registration. You almost lost a player over this, and may have lost others who encounter similar problems before being in a position to NEED to pass verification (such as a withdrawal) because they decide "lesson learned, dodged a bullet there" and decide to try elsewhere whilst holding a negative opinion of your casino.

Had a player with a pending withdrawal experienced this problem, they could easily interpret it as "stalling tactic" or the casino being "deliberately difficult", rather than a mere bug in the software.

It's all down to "first impressions count the most" when it comes to building trust.

Cheers VWM, I suppose I could of done a quick Google search,

I take it that they go by the electro role to find out who you are?

They are more thorough than that. You need a referee, effectively you are being "notarised" by this referee, who must be a "professional", and contactable at their place of work. It's similar to the level of scrutiny one undergoes for a passport application, except that there is no mandatory "personal interview".

The downside is that all UK citizen cards are "contracted out", rather than being issued directly by central government. The government has merely set the standards to which the issuing body must work in order for there to be trust in the card. In terms of security, more akin to the driving licence than the passport. However, online casinos freely accept a UK driving licence, which itself is issued by an arms length "agency" rather than a central government department, albeit an agency (DVLA) with an absolute legal monopoly.
