Hello! New to the forum, usually just lurking in the background.

What are everyone’s thoughts on this VerifiedStreamer.com - new site that says they can verify if a streamer is playing with real money or not!

No doubt set up by streamers to validate themselves, the inference being you must be bent if not a member. It's not whether they are bent or not that that is the main concern, more the irresponsible and unrealistic or non-compliant behaviour - verified or not. And of course who is supplying the money/sponsorship, even if it's genuine. Does the site follow approved GDPR procedures? Even if the money is real, unless you state how much of the real funds you lose are as a result of affiliate payments, it bears no resemblance to the play of normal punters who have limited funds and no affiliate money to subsidize or fully fund their habit, therefore 100% of their net losses are their own.

The idea seems to be more about promotion, so a clique of live streamers can proudly display a logo which is projected as being more credible therefore likely to result in a bigger slice of the pie.

Personally I have never been a streamer although once or twice did consider offers to be one, but let me tell you that over the years if it wasn't for being an affiliate I could never have afforded to cover a 5-figure sum of net losses. Whatever the claims, the house edge always wins and you are focussing still on the rare few people who can afford losses that would be devastating to 99% of their viewers. I have heard on the grapevine that marketing on streams is being closely examined by the UKGC and action of some kind is imminent. While this would only affect a minority, I know from past experience that other jurisdictions would likely follow so we will see...

Funnily enough, right on the button, just received this e-mail about the MGA toughening things up (about time!):

Guidelines in relation to affiliate marketing activities within jurisdictions that fall under the MGA’s remit.

Please remember that different guidance applies to affiliate marketing targeting UK players. Should you be interested, please get in touch with your Affiliate Manager.

Advertising must be socially responsible

Gambling advertising must be socially responsible and must avoid portraying gambling in certain contexts, or use messaging or imagery which might be potentially harmful. Therefore, affiliate advertising of our brand(s) must not, directly or indirectly:

· encourage antisocial behavior (this includes portraying gambling with the consumption of alcohol);

· suggest that gambling can be a resolution to social, educational, personal or professional problems;

· suggest that gambling can be an alternative to employment, a solution to financial concerns or a form of financial investment (e.g. “A life-changing win!”);

· portray gambling as socially attractive;

· portray gambling in a context of toughness or link it to resilience or recklessness;

· portray gambling as indispensable or as taking priority in life, for example over family, friends or professional or educational commitments;

· suggest peer pressure to gamble or disparage abstention from gambling (e.g. “Play Now!” “What are you waiting for?” “Hurry Up!” and similar messaging);

· suggest that skill can influence the outcome of a game that is purely a game of chance;

· exploit cultural beliefs or traditions about gambling or luck; or

· suggest that solitary gambling is preferable to social gaming (e.g. “Bored at home? Play with us!”).

In addition to this, gambling advertising must not appeal to or be targeted to those under the age of 18.

Tell me, fake or real, how many basic breaches of the above can you identify on the streamer channels??

So recklessness = 2000x bonus buys.
Alcohol - numerous examples.
Socially attractive - hiring out girls or boys to accompany said streams.#
Calls to action ie. 'sign up NOW! exclamation marks, hurry up! etc. are plastered all over the chat and videos, even prompted by the streamers verbally.

Looks like the MGA will, like the UKGC, be quite busy soon.

So I assume all the members of the verified group will drop this behaviour? Nah, thought not.

Well to be honest. I think the person who made this post is maybe the person who made the website. I mean there is not really any coincidences is there lol.

Also the site does not even have an SSL certificate. Not very secure is it! This whole site seems like such a joke and a pile of shit to be honest. And will just be more bullshit nonsense. Who even verify the deposits and documents? And why on earth would a streamer trust sending bank statements to a third party website owner. Are they in cloud cuckoo land or something? You must seriously not care about your security or privacy if you will be willing to send your bank statements to the untrustworthy owner of this website.

Also it might even be Chipmonks. Strange how he is the first and only one to have been verified so far too.

I would say this site is even worse than the streamers themselves...............

Streamers can go and get lost............ This website can also go and get lost too.............

One last thing, it might also just be one huge scam site to try and obtain private info about streamers they can then use to steal their identity and get access to their bank accounts etc etc. I would never ever ever use any site like this for anything. ALARM bells ringing all around right now.

I also think you should remove the link to the site to be honest @Casinomeister @dunover

How does the site verify if a streamer is playing with real money or not?

No way are payment processors or banks going to afford them access to such information, need to be PCI DSS certified for that and this site definitely isn't.

Agree the OP sounds like one of Chipflunkz mob but come one, come all :)

So fake money streamers are now setting up a fake website with a fake seal of approval for their fake and irresponsible gambling sessions.

Second Pinnits notion also of 'who cares?'

What link? It just mentions the name, no url and I checked that fact before approving the post. To be fair, the OP never attempted to post a live url and yes, I get the feeling the OP is familiar with how we do things here but no foul thus far.

I’m definitely not part of the mob haha. I was just interested in peoples opinions on it.

To be honest I think the website/concept is quite laughable - even the interactions I’ve seen them have with the public on Twitter. It definitely feels like an inside job from one of that!

Each to their own!

A little research will tell you exactly who is behind this website.

I have linked to that research below. Appreciate that it is linking to another affiliate site, so if a mod feels that this is not appropriate, I fully understand that the link may be removed:

Yes, cannot leave that. A google search should suffice. :thumbsup:

Isn’t chips new bitch called Gav who is always super dry????!!!!!

Who gives a fuck anyway?

If you get paid by the casino to play there for half an hour and have their logo on the screen and then use that very same money as ur bank roll. I would hardly describe that as a real cash deposit anyway.

Irrelevant if it comes from your own personal bank account. It’s still the casino saying here - take a monkey from us put our links in the chat and showcase us for x amount of minutes before moving onto the next bent one he chooses to promote.

Blokes a grade A c**t for promoting some of the shite places he does anyway.

The whole concept is laughable.

Lives in Malta and worked in the iGaming industry! ? how convenient probably an affiliate manager I’m just guessing here btw
Never heard of him. Doesn't mean he hasn't been about at conferences, just not aware of meeting him or heard the name in any convos.

But either way, who ever this Phil Pearson guy is. Why would people even trust him with all those documents? I know I wouldn't anyway!

Oh phil is verified streamer? Aw guys I know him! He’s golden, he detests fake streamsrs and when he did non-affiliated streaming briefly he was frequently taking pops at casino daddy fruity slots etc.

Phil even got me verified for my citizen card to use as casino identification as I don’t drive or have a valid passport (expired 2019)

When depositing on casinos he publicly showed his card and 3 digit code, hes very open with everything. I’ll inform him that he needs to do the ssl certification immediately.

OK, I see, so Streamer sends in some kind of evidence of the transaction to Verified Streamer who then confirm this with the casino.

Five levels of verified streamer to achieve by proving more transactions and paying more, final level is a streamer who acts as a responsible gambling partner.

Level 4 - Streamer also provided all documents with verifiable 3rd party proof.

Great idea to have streamers verified and conforming to some kind of standard. So many questions about the legitimacy of this for me though.

To what standards are the streamers evidence verified?
How is the transaction verified by the casino?
What kind of verifiable 3rd party proof does the Streamer have to supply for level 4?
What does the streamer need to do to become a responsible gambling partner?
Why do you pay for higher levels, no change in cost for the site I can think of, just seems strange to have higher levels of verified and honest appraisal to come with a higher charge?

Thanks for providing this information. I know a good number of those guys who "comply" with your listing.
