Hi,

I was reviewing some of the comments about the Casinos at Vegas Partner Lounge. I notice they give a bonus with every deposit but some players get in trouble for bonus abuse.

I am considering playing there at the various casinos but do not want to get in trouble. Can someone or the VPL rep please define this thing they call bonus abuse. I would like to know prior to playing what they expect. If I know that, I can then give them what they want.

I dont understand why just playing by the rules they publish would not be enough to satisfy the casino. But if it isnt, is it to much to ask what they expect of the player?

Deb, you're asking about my favorite group. :) The VPL casinos are tops because of their bonus on every deposit and outstanding customer service in the rare event of a problem.

I don't want to answer for them on how much play exactly they expect, but all online casinos hate it when you play the bare minimum. Yes, it seems stupid when casinos aren't happy even though you did what they asked. As a habit you should always plan on playing more than the published terms.
 
Will VPL help?

Weedlayer, I point out that I did play over the minimum - sometimes more than others. I was tagged as a bonus abuser and I was not. One thing I have done in the past is to play some sessions without a bonus. But VPL gives the bonus everytime and it is automatic.

Deb, I would love for VPL to be a bit more upfront and like Cypher agree this is a good subject. My questions to flush out your general question a bit are:

1. If a player gave 20% overplay prior to any cashin, would they ever be considered abusive?

2. Can the player play Blackjack or other restricted games for the overplay. Afterall, if they have met the wagering requirements, shouldn't they be able to play what they want?

3. I was told there was no precise reason but I got a hint that VPL didn't like VP players. If we limit our VP to say 50% of our action would that be enough to get us off the hook?

4. Are there other games that VPL doesn't like that a player should limit?

5. Once a player is flagged, will VPL give the player advice on what the expect to be unflagged?

Deb, whatever the answer, you should insist on playing in a controlled manner. If your choices are to play in an uncontrolled manner or be labeled a bonus abuser, you are better off with the name calling.

Certainly: winning with a bonus.

And no, bonuses are not automatic. Once you're off the list, you're history.
 
Stanford and Deb do have valid questions.

Maybe in my post I should have said, "plan on playing substantially more than the published terms." :D

I do know the feeling of being bonus banned as I had nearly the same experience as Stanford's, only at a Playtech casino.

I don't think any casinos will ever say, "Okay, here's what we really want to see" because they of course want to keep you playing as long as possible.

It is very simple to send an email to support requesting that you be removed from the auto bonus list. I sent it directly to VPL support and requested to be removed from all casinos within the group. Bonuses are a trap on their own, but auto bonuses are the worst of all. If you don't catch that they added it and you wager, you are screwed. I requested this before I even made a deposit at any of their casinos. One sure fire way to avoid troubles at online casinos, and I guarantee that it will work 100% of the time, is don't claim bonuses :D
 
Of course it'll work - to facilitate cashouts, never have the need to read terms etc etc. But that's cold comfort considering the downside. If a casino likes you and treats you well you have a problem because you are a sucker. Casinos love suckers. If a casino dislikes you and puts you through the ringer regarding payments you also have those particular problems, but there's a big upside, because if a casino dislikes you then you're doing something right.

The trouble is unavoidable one way or another - unless, of course, you happen to enjoy losing money. In that case, everyone's happy.

Set a new record for getting locked out this month, deposited $300 in a new casino cashed out $1700 ( I must admit with no problem ) after playing just one session, next time I try and access my account 'LOCKED'!!

Apparently they must think I am some sort of advantage player, can't imagine why? :rolleyes:

Which do I prefer, winning $1400 and being locked or losing and being allowed to deposit more money and lose again?? Ermm :confused: :confused:

Of course if I was Black21jack this is a nobrainer because he can beat the house everytime without a bonus. (Yeh right :puke: )

I've been locked out of a few Playtech casinos (NY and USA come to mind) before I could even deposit a cent. I set up my account just as I've always done everywhere else and when they process my details, a popup window pops up (of course) and tells me the account's been locked.

Seems like I made some Playtech list of "advantage players" ... does that beat you? ;) :thumbsup:

You must be playing at the worst of the worst. I cash out more than that every week from the same casino and I have never been locked out. The only time I was locked out was from Nostalgia before the Phoenician take over. This was over a year ago. They sent me an email stating "You are truly an excellent blackjack player as shown in your pending withdrawals. We have decided to close your account until you are paid in full." I requested that they open my account so that I could at least track the large amounts of withdrawals I had so I would know what was going on. They opened the account but with restriction on me playing any 21 games. Once I was paid off they opened the account fully. I think they were having financial problems and my withdrawals were hurting their cashflow since I make cashouts every week. I suggest you find more reputable casinos to play at, Casinomeister has a good list of casinos. Even though they were having problems paying they reopened my account no matter how much I won. Hmmm, I wonder if it is because I do not claim bonuses?

I think you're more likely to find it was because they analysed your play and came to the conclusion you were just another mug system player & would almost certainly give them the money back over time ;)

I've had the same experience of being locked out of two Playtech casinos after just registering my details. I can see their point, though, as I had played three other casinos in the same group and made the expected profit from the bonuses :drink:

I am sure it is. And I also wish to congratulate you on your positive varience.

However, the point of this thread is that VPL offers bonuses as an inducement to play and then labels some players as bonus abusers. In my case, I was clearly not a bonus abuser.

Debdooter has asked what is a bonus abuser per the VPL standards. And I have asked much the same thing. If anyone has any insight, please post it.

Other than refusing all bonuses how does one play at VPL and not offend them? Like Cypher and Weedlayer I am hoping VPL can enlighten us.

Maybe it is as simple as Caruso suggest.

Bonuse abuse is an arcane term which has pretty much gone out of fashion now insofar as many casinos and portals now reject its application to players using the comp system to advantage. Some - like VPL, it seems - cling on to it. Ironically, casinos invoking it usually end up the abusers themselves, creating cashout hassles or plain stealing, whereas the vast majority of "abusive" players have committed no offence.

Further evidence that online casinos are managed by and large - and RTG almost one hundred percent - by monkeys. It remains a source of constant entertainment to me that these people apply for licenses and run their businesses without the slightest idea about the functioning of the nuts & bolts of the matter! Non-bonus players should be welcomed with open arms and be shown the red carpet all the way to eventually balancing the books and giving back their winnings, yet these monkeys believe that it's possible to be "an excellent blackjack player" on a game which has negative value for the player and is completely unbeatable in the long term, whatever "system" may be used by the player - and then bar them for their "excellence"! Using a negative progression, players are going to rack up many more winning than losing sessions. Using an ultimate "session winner" system like Oscar's Grind, I'm sure winning sessions must come in around ninety five percent. These casinos believe that players employing these systems are "excellent players". Don't they bother to investigate ANYTHING about the nature of the nuts & bolts of their businesses when - heaven forbid BEFORE - they apply for their licenses? How is it possible to rationally invest huge sums of money in a business you know nothing about? I suppose they hear vague references to blackjack as a "beatable" game and believe the same applies to the online shuffle-after-one games. So why invest in the business in the first place? LOL.
 
Talking about VPL and automatic bonuses, I find them pretty annoying. The risk is not worth the amount of the bonus.

So after checking their T&C

"Unlimited Deposits can be made.
Deposits greater than $100.00 will qualify for 15% purchase bonus.
This offer is valid at Maple Casino only.
Purchase bonuses are credited automatically to the players account within 3 hours.
Minimum wager requirements apply.
Any cashin request before the minimum wagering requirements are fulfilled in full (as defined below in point 6) will result in the bonus being removed and/or your cash-in will be token refunded to your casino account. "

I decided to deposit $50 only, in order to avoid the bonus.
After playing for a while I was lucky to spot an incease of 7.50 chips and stop any further bet.
I was really surprised to see a casino going against its own T&C. In any case I contacted the the live chat and they told me to get in touch with the VPL' banking in order to have the bonus removed. I diligently sent an e-mail twice but nobody bothered to answer in 36 hours.

Just a suggestion at the end of all this: also if you think that the bonus will not be credited, double check. If you make any bet after it is credited, it cannot be removed.

I agree with you here - I hate when casinos don't follow their own terms. I've had this sort of thing happen at a casino or three. I also don't think bonuses should be added while one is playing. Too much chance for confusion.
 
VPL auto bonuses and WR's

Hi everyone,
I received an email yesterday from Sun Vegas Casino, where they outlined their bonus percentage on deposits, and the wagering requirements.
On every deposit you receive 5% if you used credit/debit cards or firepay, you receive 10% if you use InstaNeteller, and 15% if you use Neteller, PaySpark or wire transfer. The wagering requirements are 10X deposit plus 10X the bonus. So if you buy in for $100 with a debit card, you get 5$ bonus (big deal) and you are then forced to wager 1150.00. This is so ridiculous. I immediately shot off an email to VPL, and advised them to NEVER give me an automatic bonus at any of their casinos (I listed all VPL casinos that I have an account with along with my account numbers). I also told them that until I received confirmation of my request that I would not deposit at any of their casinos. They were very helpful, and within 12 hours I received an email stating that I would not be receiving the Automatic bonuses any further, unless I advised them differently. The address to email them is help@vegaspartnerlounge.com, and just ask to opt out of receiving the bonuses. I hope this helps.
 
Tha banking department never bothered to answer my 2 e-mails. It's just fun because it was the costumer care to suggest me this procedure. And it's not a problem with my e-mail, you can be sure about that...
VPL, I will PM my account number and copy of the mail that was sent twice. Maybe you can check what's going on...
