I just had this rather disturbing chat with a rep from Aspinalls, part of the Vegas Partner Lounge group, an accredited casino.

I ummed and aahed about whether to post this as they have generally treated me well and proved very reliable with payouts etc. After some consideration I've decided to post. They CLEARLY broke a rule of being accredited here and I just figured that if another member had had this experience I would appreciate them telling me about it. After all, part of the great thing about CM is sharing information.

Here is the chat:

You are now chatting with Micky

Micky: Welcome! It is great to have you with us. I am here to help you with anything you might need assistance with! :)
Me: Hi please can you flush my withdrawal of £200.00 GBP. My details are as follows:XXXXXXX

And please can you make sure it gets sent back to my debit card as usual?
Thanks very much for your help :)
Micky: Please hold a moment while I open your account
Me: sure thing
Micky: Congratulations on this XXXXX
Me: cheers! :)
Micky: MAy I ask you a question XXXXXX
Me: please
Me: go ahead
Micky: What would you say if I offer you 75 to put back the 200 you won?
Me: I'd say there are almost certainly playthrough conditions attached to that offer which make it harder for me to withdraw!
Micky: I see
Micky: Okay, I flushed your withdrawal
Me: I'd also draw your attention to the accredited standards ont he casinomeister website, especially the Operational Standards, point 8 which states that accredited casinos: Will not entice players to reverse cash withdrawals with bonuses or other incentives.
Micky: Ok I see
Me: I think an offer like that, while I'm sure meant in the nicest possible way, clearly contravenes those standards
Micky: It's true
Micky: We do have few player however that come and ask these type of questions
Me: of course
Micky: But it's fine
Me: And I know it's standard practice for some operators
Me: but you guys are accredited and trustworthy
Micky: I wish you the best of luck with our casinos
Me: that's why I deposit so much with you
Me: thanks Micky
Me: and thanks for flushing my withdrawal
Micky: It's a great pleasure to hear that
Me: alright, take care now
Micky: You are welcome
Micky: Is there anything else that I may assist you with?
Me: all the best

I acknowledge that this isn't a major issue and might just be one CS rep who hadn't been properly trained which would be unfortunate but understandable - these things happen in any business.

What is also a little worrying is that just an hour or two before I had asked them to stop my account receiving any bonuses whatsoever (and received an email confirming that this had been done), so this is almost a double enticement.

Thoughts/comments welcome. Especially if a rep would care to respond...?

Hi, London! I too have had 2 experiences such as yours with Spin Palace. The first time was when i won £1,500.00 and maybe an hour later a rep from SP called me at home and he represented himself as Dan, a manager. Dan said he would offer me a bonus to reverse my winnings and i said thanks but i'm very happy with what i had won and i also included that i thought it was a little strange to be called at home from SP and be offered a bonus if i'd reverse w/d.

Anyway, i won again on another deposit, and low and behold, guess who calls me at home offering a bonus to reverse w/d. The second time i politely informed Dan to please refrain from calling me at home trying to entice me to reverse w/d as i thought it was quite inappropriate to do so.

Come to think of it, i stopped gambling online soon after that anyway so i guess Dan never got the chance to call me again.

I'm pleased you have taken the time to post what you've experienced too as it shows some rather desperate measures some of the accredited casinos are willing to do even though they shouldn't be doing so. And yet some casinos wonder why some players do not wish to give out their phone #'s:lolup:

Much as I hate the Rival brand and all their glitches, their cashier is vastly superior to either MG or RTG in that reversal of w/ds count as fresh deposits as far as claiming bonuses are concerned. Players have a choice and since the bonuses are explicitly listed in the cashier and not associated with a particular w/d I find it acceptable. It is then a case of 'take it or leave it'.Many players do not have abundant cash in their e-wallets/credit cards so if they have an urge to play with bonuses they might want to reverse a w/d to claim them. Ultimately, it's their own choice and the major software providers could try to devise something in the cashier along similar lines.

Same thing happened to me recently with Spin Palace. I was called at home by a female CS rep after withdrawing £1000 (or an amount like that); I was offered a big 'bonus' if I reversed some of it. Made me feel quite uncomfortable, but I refused anyway and was paid within the usual time frame.

I don't buy the "untrained staff" excuse though, not one bit of it. Someone higher up must give these reps the authority to offer bonuses in the first place, and these managers giving such authority should know better

UPDATE! Received a phonecall...

From Aspinalls. Very polite and very professional. They said sorry, they thanked me for raising this and they told me that they're looking into it right now. This was yesterday.

I'm impressed and pleased. I think any business will have problems from time to time; the test of quality is in how they're dealt with. Good work Aspinalls

Thanks Quintin. I also received a PM from Curt which I just tried to reply to but I got this error message:

So please let him know. I'm very satisfied with how you guys have dealt with this. Good work all round!
