Vegas Joker and Vegas 7

:eek2: I was surprised to see in Casinomeister's mail that Vegas Joker and Vegas 7 are on the " Not Recommended list" I have been playing both casino's for years including Vegas poker casino( I'm pretty sure it's in their group) and I never ever had a problem. Anytime I had cash-ins from that casino it was pretty fast. They have great customer service and many times when I call about my bonus instead of telling me I have to wait 24 hours like most casino's do they put it in manually. I will continue to play there and wonder why it's on the list.
 
Problem

There was a problem earlier that was badly handled. They accused a number of players of "illegitimate play" and refused to pay out. They never explained what the problems were, but indicated it was an "inventive" scheme, or system, that some players had used to "cheat" at the casino. They also stated it was nothing to do with the usual scams, such as "bonus abuse" or multiple account frauds. They even seemed to be refusing to pay players who had not even taken a bonus in the first case.
In the end, they paid out after "pressure from the wider gaming community", with suggestions that eCogra found in player's favour in the cases they looked at. While they paid, they insisted they had been right in their initial actions, and would do the same again if other players tried the same tactic. Since this tactic has never been revealed, and has nothing to do with bonuses and multiple accounts, there is no way future players can avoid being caught up again.
The not-recommended status relates to the way the issue was handled rather to the fact it arose in the first place. Handling included refusing to respond to complaints, and non-cooperation with casinomeister in some cases.
I never had problems when I played, but I quit playing when this issue started getting out of hand as I worried I might get caught up, and their feeble promotions were not worth the risk.
If they get their act together, and convince Bryan that such issues will not arise in future, they will probably go "on probation" for a while and may even win back their former accredited status. Jackpot Factory have already achieved this, rogued last year, corrected the issues, won back their eCogra seal and accredited status.
If you have played with them a while, and never had problems, it is likely this state of affairs will continue and you should not have any trouble. Many of the players caught up in the recent issue were new sign-ups.
 
wow, Thanks for letting me know this.I appreciate it. Gee I have not been on here for a while until I had my issue with that other casino. But thats all taken care of and I am back playing again with out a problem. Please let me know if Vegas poker is part of the vegas Joker group because I really like playing there. I will avoid the other 2 until casinomeister says different.

They are all part of the MiniVegas group, and most are part of the Vegas Partners program.
They have won a coverted Casinomeister award for this incident, read them all, it is a good barometer of how the industry is working.
There seems hope though, that this incident is what it took for this group to get a grip. "not-recommended" is not quite as bad as "rogue". I would say not recommended for new players, and probably not wise for existing players to gather more accounts with the bonuses. However, it seems unlikely that long term players will suddenly find themselves in trouble.
If you are worried, or want to make a point of showing solidarity with the player community, you could uninstall the casinos and tell them you will be prepared to play again once they have satisfied Casinomeister that they have made changes sufficient to go "on probation". This measn that they have made undertakings to turn over a new leaf, and while on probation their behaviour will be monitored. If this group live up to promises, they may end up back on the accredited list, where they had been for some time.
I decided to uninstall their casinos after this problem just seemed to be getting worse each day, with no reasonable explanation offered as to what was going on. The nearest we have to an explanation is that they were hit by fraud, and just went on a mass account locking spree which hit many innocent players as well as fraudsters, and then stopped communicating with anyone. Before I play there again I will probably want to know what exactly constitutes the "undesirable play without bonuses" that got one or two players locked, as there is no such "offence" since the play is entirely with the player's own funds, and all the games are supposedly "fair" and "random". If such an offence DOES exist, then it follows that this group do not themselves trust the software they are using (Microgaming), so why should WE!

Casino US is part of the "Vegas Partner Lounge" group, and their names are so similar it is easy to get them mixed up.

Right, Casino US is awesome sauce. Minivegas..... not so much. I've had relatively okay experiences with them (one headache) but I've read posts about them asking people to not just send in ID and a bill, but to not respond for several weeks and then ask for documents to be notorized. These guys are out in left field compared to the rest of the Microgaming operations. Even Casino Rewards has surpassed them in terms of headache-free play at this point.
