Vegas Hits Newbie. My Experience.

Are there still a good variety of "good-looking" and fun Video Slots in Vegas ?
And if so, where might they be found ? :what:

Some that rival the software of online gambling would be nice...

There were a few that looked as good. Spear and I played this "Vault" one that looked the part, but the free spins payouts were mostly crap compared to online. The machine Meister won on was quite good - lots of regular wins, plus the low-rolling "Hot Shots" progressive was lots of fun. The Frog Prince was close to online too if a bit "older" in style.

I was surprised that there were so many standard 3-reel slots around though.

?

LOL. Typically you CM

Tell you what though, if i was a High Roller I'd never go to Vegas - you'd be forever having your machine freeze and all this paperwork to fill in! Now there's one advantage of playing online.

My machine freezes online:mad:

Perhaps playing low stakes will remove the need to fill in paperwork.
I had no problem with the $35 win on the bonus round of the 1c slots:D

After 2 days of play, I managed to get breakfast for two at Starbucks, $25 free slot games & a carry bag in comps, plus a direct $13 cashback.

Thunderstruck

I also found the 3 reel Thunderstruck, talk about a fuss about nothing. I hit the bonus round....

There's a storm brewing..... etc etc... for about 5 minutes all the way up to 20x, and I was salivating with anticipation....

then it happened....

A SINGLE "wild" dropped in - the smallest possible win:mad:

20x bugger all is still bugger all:mad:

I get to Vegas all the time, almost always on business (I don't work directly in gaming, but I am an executive in a company that represents 7 high end hotels in Vegas). Your story reminds me very much of an experience I had last year in Vegas. I arranged a "guys weekend" and I was the only one in the bunch who had ever been to Vegas before. My buddies were absolutely blown away by all the sights and sounds. We were staying at one of my hotels on the strip, but we went all over the city. I was constantly lagging behind them. They wanted to soak in all the sights, and all I wanted to do was gamble!

It was kind of fun watching their wide eyes as we watched the video show downtown (that is pretty awesome), went to the top of the Stratosphere, rode the roller coaster (in all my times in Vegas I had never done that), had dinner in the Eifel Tower, etc, etc.

I did tell them that if we ever did this again, I expected them to bring more than $100 to gamble for the entire weekend! I was betting more than that on every hand of blackjack!

Never mind, I took my own CAMERAMAN!
We have a video of the 10 minute Vegas helicopter tour, and some digital stills of some of the sights. His equipment was better than mine:mad:
We will be sharing the results though.
My cheap digital camera is poor in dull lighting, but at least I can see this at the time and have another go later!

In due course, I will put some of them on my website. I'll have to reinstall Dreamweaver on my PC first though!

Sheesh! And what's more, in the USA you have to declare wins over $2k and pay tax!! So note: always take a passport or photo ID round with you!!

BTW, it's $1200. I hit that amount twice... AFTER putting in the same amount in play, so it was like paying taxes on my own money! :what:

But as I left, I sat down at the SAME machine and within about three minutes hit another jackpot for about $2500.

B-----d - you had ALL the luck! Every time I followed Meister on a machine, I got my ass kicked. That's the last time I play the same machines he does...

Nevertheless, an enjoyable stay which I don't intend to repeat for a couple of years... I have much better luck online than off!

Spear, you need to get yourself one of them there Mojo sticks that Bryan is always talking about, lol. Where the hell did he hide it anyway? Forget it, don't wanna know!! :)

Awesome review Simmo!! Never been to Vegas myself, but that overview almost makes me feel like I have. If the aff thing falls through, you should consider writing travel reviews. I'm glad you had fun, sounds like you all had an awesome time!!

Cool beans Simmo!!
