Today All Bodog's sites stopped allowing US players to visit at all.
All players accounts have been moved to a gaming site under the same operators called Bovada.

US players can play there which is nice that they gave us another option rather than just dumping us :)

BODOG EXITS U.S. MARKET (Update)

Morris Mohawk launches own brand in U.S.

As a prelude to the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group's licencing agreement expiring at the end of this year (see previous InfoPowa report), the Bodog brand has announced in an e-mail that it has withdrawn from the U.S. market and will no longer be available to U.S. customers as of today.

U.S.-facing customers, however, have been promised a new look, new name and same great services from the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group by way of "its own proprietary brand" BOVADA.lv, with little or no disruption to the migration of Bodog’s existing customers.

The e-mail reads:

"From today, December 14th, Morris Mohawk Gaming Group will continue to operate as it has for over 4 years, just under its new name, BOVADA, at www.bovada.lv

"Your account and balance has automatically been transferred to the new website and you are able to log in to the site using your existing account details and password."

Bovada.lv is fully operational and the new website offers upgraded features that include a new flash lobby, upgraded navigation to purchase and cash out chips and a more user-friendly account section.

Despite .lv being traditionally used as a country-code top-level domain designated for Latvia, Morris Mohawk's spin on its use is "to remind our players of Las Vegas, the number one gambling destination in the U.S.

“We believe .lv reflects that feeling of fun and entertainment our players have when they visit Las Vegas and it's our hope for them to have a similar experience when playing with Bovada.lv.”

I did know that Bodog was no longer accepting US players but I just thought I would mention it over here just in case someone missed the memo.

I know that I didn't know about Bovada until yesterday. I just assumed players would be refunded their account balances and move on but I'm happy that it went so smoothly.

Anyone know anything about the affiliate side of things? Will players that are redirected to Bovada still be under the same affiliate program? I think probably not...

I just don't like being 'herded' and separated from the pack (yet again). So much less mess for them tho when/if they decide to lop us off entirely.

I'm not blocked

Still play there. ;)

Ok, that was a bit of a mislead. If you go to log in, you will have a software update. Same casino...different name.
