US player who needs advice on withdrawal!!!

Hi. I recently won a substantial amount on an online casino ($15600). I am extremely excited but also a little nervous. The only options the casino offers for withdrawal is a check and a bank wire. I opted to go with a bank wire. My concerns are that my bank will want answers. Should I ask the casino to break the amount up or should I take it all at once? (and I do plan on paying taxes! I am self-employed so I know all about taxes lol). Also, I payed my deposit with an electronic check (which has already cleared the bank). When I looked up the company that the check was sent to, it was located in Florida. Does this mean the bank they deal with will be in the US also? Sorry guys!!! I am new to all of this, and I don't want to get in trouble, but I also want my money!!! Thanks in advance for any advice!

Personally, I would have them break it down into smaller payments because it might cause less raised eyebrows at your bank. Make sure that your bank will accept international wires, if that's how it's coming.

If you don't mind me asking, what casino are we talking about? I'm not familiar with a US facing casino that doesn't offer an ewallet withdrawal option of some sort.

Hi! Thanks for replying! The casino is Go Casino. It is the first time I have ever played at it. So far, they have been really good about answering my questions, so I thought about contacting them with my concerns. Do you know anything about this casino?

No, sorry I've never played there so I really don't know about them. Hopefully someone that does play there will step in and give you some advice.

Just generically, make sure that your bank will accept the wires. I know that some banks in Texas have quit accepting wires of any kind. Some will only take domestic, no international. Just be ready to answer any questions your bank asks about where the money is coming from. LOL!

Well, my bank if International Bank of Commerce, and I know they do accept some wire transfers (but not sure if just from Mexico). I will have to ask them. I am not a very good liar, so I hope they don't ask too many questions. LOL!

I think the advice of asking for multiple smaller wires is the much better route. I am also surprised (although I don't know anything about this casino) that they would allow a large withdrawal like that all at one time.

Usually there are weekly limits of $3,000 to $5,000 unless you won a system wide progressive jackpot.

WTG. We like hearing success stories and also what appears to be an excellent withdrawal process from a casino. Let us know how it turns out.

I just spoke with customer service, and they said they were going to send two separate wires a week apart. She also told me not to worry about my bank. Hmmm. lol.

I didn't win a progressive jackpot. I jackpoted a slot machine.

I will let you know how well the withdrawal process works. So far, they have been very informative, but realistically, I know I may never see the money. I hope that isn't the case!

The bank may or may not question your wire. Smaller is better than one big wire.

I have told my bank that I do website consulting work and that's how I'm paid. Has worked so far. Or you can tell them you sold Uncle Joe's stash of antique porn. LOL! Sorry, couldn't resist.

I have been racking my brain for a plausible reason for receiving so much money internationally. Really, I guess they have no idea. I will take your suggestion into consideration LOL!!!

I just wanted to say congrats on your win. That is awesome..I have played Go Casino at least 20 times and can never hit anything, not even a small hit..I do like that if you take a bonus their playthrough is only 10X's..I have also spoke to customer service and they seem very helpful..I think you will be fine..Again, good for you...By the way, what slot where you playing??

Thank you very much! I had great luck on the Triple Flaming 7's 3 reel slots. :)

I have made a withdrawl from go casino,I asked for a check and the fee was like $35 for express.I had no problems cashing it.But my cashout was not that much just a couple hundred and i live in nevada and all most all casino's here will cash your check.I don't think it really matters how you get paid a wirer or check cause am sure in the long run it will go to your bank anyways weather you depoist it or wired.oh yeah if you get a check you'll have a reciept of the check for your taxes and if you can prove ( reciepts ) that you spent that much gambling you don't have to pay anything, but i don't know if that apply's to online gambling.since it's not illegal to gamble but is to fund at a online casino.you might be setting yourself up.anyways go casino will pay there a good casino.I just ramble on,LMAO. good luck

for USA make sure any withdrawal amount into banking is less than 10K. anything over has to be reported to IRS. Banks shouldn't inquire about the wire if it is under 10K. Good luck on your withdrawal.

Thanks for the advice! I talked to my bank, and they have no problem with international bank wires so maybe I won't have too worry about that area. Hopefully, they send it soon, and I will let everyone know how it went!

Although I haven't had any experience with this casino, I did have some large wins in the last several months and have had no questions asked from my bank.

I did report my yearly online winnings to my CPA, net after offsetting against losses. I was not concerned with anything other than potentially having to explain tax fraud.

I'm not sure if/how overseas wires are monitored. I don't think that the IRS monitors this activity, but I am certain that someone does and I don't know what information is shared between different government entities.

Past experience with GoCasino...

I played with Go Casino a few months ago and had a few issues with withdrawals...a few notes:

1) $8000 per week is their max.
2) One week, I requested an express check and cashed it, only to have it bounce on me. It took a month to get a replacement sent.
3) If you choose a wire, you will pay the wire fee + a 1.5 - 2.5% international transfer fee imposed by their third party. So, don't be surprised if $150 or more is taken out from a $8000 wire.
4) As always, be very careful about bonuses...don't want you losing a big win over a stupid detail!

Congrats on the win, khogue. Now buy something nice for the family and never gamble again! ;)

With the $5000 dollar withdrawal, $75.00 was deducted. I am not complaining though! And, it came domestic, not international. I know this because my bank charged $10.00 instead of $20.00. I am happy one check has gotten here! I didn't request a check because I saw on the internet that someone had received a bad check from them. I wasn't about to go through that ordeal!

Thank you! And, on spring break, we are taking our kids to Disneyland. It was planned already, but now we don't have to penny pinch. And, I am going to pay off my car! It will be so nice not to have a car payment for a while!

Good advice on not gambling!!! It is something I only indulge in a couple of times a year, but I have always been lucky for some reason, buy I don't want to chance it too much! :)
