It's been one year since the passage of this law, and I am wondering how it has affected US players since then.

One month after the passage of the bill 22.22% of the US players said that they had quit completely with 37.30% saying they were having some difficulty.

But four months after the bill was passed - things had changed a bit: 32.93% of the US players said that they had quit completely with 21.34% saying they could hardly play at all.

So how is it now? Has it lightened up some? Or did those who had quit stayed out?

True - I had it set up before so that guests were not privy to the results, and you had to be a member to view this. I've changed the permissions since then, so I've deleted this option. Thanks!

There are few places/groups where I would play if they accepted my ewallet. I have ways to deposit and get paid at most casinos that were available in January - but the instant gratification of certain deposit and withdrawal lures me to casinos that accept my method... I still occasionally use a previous deposit method (post january) but the pay outs take longer and I don't like having things tied up any longer than absolutely necessary.

I wonder what the Industry numbers are for US players since October and especially since January... but that is another thread

I have no problems whatsoever at the RTG casinos but cannot deposit at some of the MG ones. That is why I have to play at GM, I wanted to try 777 ( i forgot the exsct name) sultans or 777dragon? ayway, can't play at any of them but GM

Down to once or twice a month, not much to choose from. Playing some rival, like playtech thats out, only one microgaming I can play at that's not good and RTG well that pretty well speaks for it self.

I think the biggest turn-off of this ruling has been the hell we have to go through for a cash-out. I remember the good ole days when we all use to bitch about waiting 3/4 business days for monies to hit the bank. Boy! We were naive.

Depositing has been tricky but as time has passed, many have managed to figure out a way around the roadblocks. It does take the spontanaiety out of playing though.

I stopped completely in January once the online wallet services (i.e. neteller, firepay, etc.) started having problems. Like other posters have said, the cashing out problems destroyed what little spontaineity existed. Plus I felt that the dropoff in US customers would cause the casinos to "tighten up" the slots -- I noticed I wasn't winning as often. I was spending way too much money on them anyway so I welcomed the break from online gambling. Unfortunately for me, I just lost that much more money in the B&M casinos so last month I decided to rejoin GA. I am praying that it takes this time; I was able to refrain for a while before and stupidly though I could gamble "socially" again. Not blaming anyone but myself. I loved be able to gamble online and had better luck there than at the B&M casino's but it was too easy for me to spend, spend,spend. A problem gambler is a problem gambler I guess. We'll always find a way to gamble.

Once my ewallets were depleted I stopped playing.

Dealing with ecocard and click2pay soured me to the point where I don't want to try any new processors unless I hear unanimous rave reviews. I don't want to go through the trouble of buying a debit card everytime I want to play. And the fees are another turn-off. So I'm stuck.

If the casinos would at least work out a quick and consistent method of withdrawing, then I would probably be willing to deal with the depositing hassles. I'd be happy with getting a check as long as it arrived in a few days time, but that didn't happen and the casinos didn't want to take responsibilty.

Tell me about it. My only jones is for Playtech - oh well. And anyone still having any problems depositing at any casino allowing U.S. players should really check out NetSpend's re-loadable Visa debit card. I've used mine hassle free for a year. Im bummed no Playtech too. I also feel all the casinos have tightened up alot. Last August 06 I won 9000.00 at Lake Palace. I have not had any wins that have got to at least 500.00 since.

Poke me with a fork, I'm done. Haven't deposited since the day NETeller locked us out -- Jan. 16 I think. I've nosed around about ways to deposit.... **sigh** I'm too old to consider jumping through hoops and waiting 1 -2 months for a withdrawal as fun. Also, the current deposit/withdrawal methods (and delays!) are not compatible with my style of play.

I was able to use pre-paid visa's then they quit working.

Quicktender seems a good solution, I have deposited and am requesting a withdrawal with it. I have linked it to my bank, so hopefully it will jump thru the correct hoops.

My bank debit card denies all gambling transactions but allows quicktender.

Hope it works. Seems to be about the same as click2pay before they got funny.

The UIGEA is simple to understand if you understand american politics.

First, who would spend millions of dollars to get elected to a relatively low paying public sevice job if they didnt expect to make it back.

The US politicians, all the way to local level, are much more corrupt than the people they prosecute.

They couldnt stand to see all those dollars going to someone other than themselves.

They said they want to protect the public ( like the mafia offered protection?)

Religious politicians are the worst. They want to save and protect you while wearing a $5000 suit and an $800 tie.

Its all about the money, when they figure out how to get theirs, they are happy.

I wouldn't move to mexico, no offense, but we need a leader with walking around sense.

I can deposit right now at quite a few casinos. Of course I play only at Casinomeister Accredited Casinos so that does limit me. Recently, I have found King Neptune and Trident Lounge can't process my deposits. They were my last two absolute favs.

I am now playing exclusively at MG casinos where my debit card still works. No RTG for me until they have someone in charge.

What is interesting is in the past week three casinos have given me from $20.00 to $25.00 for free. They are trying to woe me back but I am staying with the two groups I am currently playing.

I play less since it takes me over a month to get my withdrawals. If the casinos would send withdrawals only by ACH transfer to US players I think they would find us more willing to play, more often. Since I have to wait for my bankroll I find myself playing for a week then laying off until I get my withdrawals.

If the casinos want any US business they need to work for us. It seems they either don't care or don't understand US players don't have unlimited bankrolls.

Of course there's the quick way to deposit and withdraw and I'm sure you would be invited if you asked one of your favorite casinos where you had action...

But I was thinking that if you spread your sessions just right you could either play more often with less, or take a short holiday to double your throughput, then spread it out so you could play at the same level more or less in weekly sessions. Did that make any sense?

I still deposit with some casinos but way less than I used to ..... due to the problem with withdrawal/payment methods it has truely taken all of the fun out of gaming online.....I also think SOME casinos have taken advantage of the USA regulations and slowed payments to customers and used it as a loophole for slow pay no pay grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Started playing again........but thinking about stopping

I've found ways to deposit and can use my debit card sometimes.....and sometimes not who knows. The withdrawal and cashout process is muchhhhhhhhhh slower, something I don't quit understand especially with an ACH type of transaction. I'm still waiting on an ACH from Club World, but I guess after ready the forum I've not had to wait too long.

I've got quit a few land based close by, and it seems there's less kaos involved.....I play.....lose.....go home.....lol, the only diff with online is I play.....lose......but I'm already home

After October 2006, I quit playing except for one $100 deposit at a new casino and promptly lost that. I didn't play since then until last month. I accidentally found out I could deposit using my credit card at a casino I still had on my computer. (I was just fooling around not expecting it to work but it did!)

This month, I went to another accredited casino and I could deposit there too using the same credit card. But now two weeks later, I couldn't deposit using that credit card or any other credit cards anymore, even within the same casino group I previously had success. Sometimes I wonder if your success at an online casino causes further deposits to be "declined" by the casino/casino group itself rather than the credit card company itself.
