I find ML impossible unless you are the casino. For example, in this case, there is a min deposit that ended in a jackpot win. After a quick look at the acc., thinking ML is absolutely ridiculous.
Banks know WH, know the player and know the strict checks required by UKGC. There shouldn't even be a need for a screenshot .....

Having said that, in another case, another time and place/country, the bank manager took one look at the winning screenshot and said "What is this? I am not a detective.". :eek:
 
Why not preempt any problems and just contact the bank directly and advise them of the win and the incoming transaction and ask if there is anything the bank need i.e. proof of the win to ease the flow and maybe not have any 'hold' put on the account.

It's what I would do rather than wait and have the account frozen in the meantime :)

I agree WH shouldn't do the checks, but the bank can't see the account, they may have deposited from one account and withdrawing to another. Regardless, banks have to, by law, do the report on any 'non regular' payment over £10k, known or not. Solicitors are MUCH stricter than casinos, and MUCH more unlikely to get photoshopped documents as 'proof' yet banks still do the reports on money coming in from them.

That is really amazing ! I guess that game is not too popular and its jackpot was about to hit so it did hit on your 40 penny per spin after a couple dozens of spins. Great story ! Take care of that money and don't lose your head !
Also, that's one case when it shows us that sometimes is not that bad to reverse a pending withdrawal hehehe ! Question for you: if your withdrawal wouldn't have been pending but already paid to you, would you have made a second 20 deposit?

I'd think it pretty obvious why they'd want to hold onto large amounts for as long as possible, given that they're paying out large amounts all the time and this isn't a 'one -off'. Financially it's only in their (literal) best interest to do so surely, than pay it out instantly.

We can fully empathize with reversing a couple of hundred over a three- day waiting period, but it's safe to say with a hundred grand one would do everything to leave that amount intact, probably through fear of somehow sabotaging the withdrawal. There's no chance in hell anyone would chance that, unless of course that amount is chump change to them :cool:
 
To be fair to WH they pay daily at 11pm Sunday to Thursday. Even if you withdraw at 10.58 pm they still process it at 11pm.

But same as any casino they would do extra Checks on a huge win or progressive.

Personally i would have expected WH to have contacted him or if it was me i would have been straight on phone to them making sure no problems lol

I asked my bank once when I won, and they told me that anything 10 k and over gets an automatic flag. I said phewww. I would never have to worry then. :laugh:

Nope, nothing that should make them suspicious. He uses the account for his wages and PIP to be paid into, that is all. I've been called in myself on numerous occasions too, for cash, cheques and transfer transactions. Twice I've had over £100k paid in and not been spoken to though, but that was from solicitors both times.

Dennis, i wouldn't have deposited 20 anyway, i would have happily gave videoslots a tenner out of that 200 but since they kept it pending, there loss. Also I had to reverse all of it but i withdrew back 185 straight away cuz only wanted to try few different games than bonanza.

Tried dukula, got the super wheel but didn't win the jackpot instead 80x bet at min bet, then tried few other games while scrolling through the promos on game page i saw them promoting this game ( i didn't know it was a jackpot game when i started playing it), for some reason i went with 40p spins instead of 20p cuz i had gone up from 15 to 31 or 34 and as i had a withdrawal pending i didn't mind losing the 15 quid. TBH i think i just wanted to sleep so went with 40p spins

Long story short, WH might change their withdrawal reversal policy after this

Sadly they haven't contacted me, i went on live chat and the guy said i should wait and they will email me. I don't want to make them anxious by start calling them as also been at work all day today and yesterday so not had time

Nate, i used to love watching ur wins of 18quid a spin on doa at redbet and winning over 50k and insane amounts. DOA is still my eternal love but i don't like the html5 version, even though i had a double wildline, a wildline and 5 scatters within 10,000 spins. The losing sessions are so quick that it eats a deposit in mins so dont get the playtime. Hence changed the game to bonanza(bad decision) but it gives me hours of playtime at min bet

I must say I'm surprised William Hill has not been in touch at all. You would think they would be doing everything possible to make sure the player stays loyal to them. An email saying sorry it will take a few extra days while we check with the slot provider. Something.

When I won big a couple of years ago, I got no communication at all from PlayOLG, just the money in my account one week later. But they have no idea how to run a casino. I would have thought William Hill would be a little better.

All in all though, I was happy I had a week to think about things and cool down a bit. I have no idea how you are sleeping at night and functioning at work, I was a complete nervous wreck.
 
I think bookies are much more 'matter of fact' about these things, I'd imagine they'll pay it no questions asked, no fanfare.....unlike perhaps other casinos who'd add a bit more personal interaction to the proceedings.

It'll just pop up on the old bank account I should think. The only ones raising eyebrows would be the bank, but nothing other than a formal check via a phonecall I'd suspect. Had significant amounts go in before and I couldn't shake the bastards :eek:

TBH! I'm so short staffed that i'm doing 14 hours shifts and my last rest day was 23rd march so i'm falling asleep great, work is so busy that i don't have time to sulk over the wait. I work for an airline catering business and summer schedule is crazy for Virgin, cathay and EasyJet.

Update: just rang William Hill and the guy said the payments team have flagged the withdrawal so its getting checked (he doesn't know how long it will take) but the payments team haven't requested anything from me (that's what he said), because when i re-opened the account they automatically verified me but i still sent all my documents and they said Thanks! we'll keep them on record.

He said normally these things take around 48 hours but he don't know how long it will be in my case just that it is being checked and i'll be informed as soon as its been checked and processed

Not had any email from them, my account is unlocked and withdrawal can't be reversed. Live chat and phone help said the payments team have flagged up the payment for approval by management. They can't give me time frame, just that it can take couple of days and i'll get an email once the withdrawals are processed
