That's a terrible headline/subject title - but I copied it straight from the BBC RSS news feed.

Anyhow:

Seems the UK edge more towards the Las Vegas way of thinking! It's quite refreshing for a change to see publicly elected officials actually allowing us to make our own minds up, as opposed to telling us what we can and can't do.

Although:

"anyone promoting gambling must not link it to sexual success or enhanced self-image."

There's no connection?!? :what: *uninstalls casinos*

And predicatbly it's bought out all the political oppnents in force with the same old arguments. I wonder in fact how many of them actually believe what they are saying and how many are just doing the "opposite" of what the party in power suggests - lol. Politics - so shallow :D

Hah... Spot on! This country does seem to be embracing the whole industry though, what with the imminent super casino and what not... Maybe 32RED will need pick a PROPER football team to sponsor, eh?

LOL...fat chance...unfortunately they don't have any football supporters who work there. If you mention "football" they go off-topic and start talking about holiday destinations like "Leeds", "Wolverhampton" and some Motorway service station called "Swindon" or something....very strange.

Jesus Christ! A holiday in Leeds or Wolverhampton!?!?!? Surely taking children there would qualify as abuse?! I guessed they knew nothing about football when they picked the Villa!

Don't Mansion casino sponsor someone now too? Must reckon that the football fan demographic fits the online casino player profile.

Swindon

Swindon is served by Junctions 15 and 16 of the M4. Between J14 and J15, to the east of Swindon is the "Membury" service station. Run under the recently bankrupt "Welcome Break" brand by new owners who bought the assets, it boasts facilities on two floors either side of the carrigeway, two fruit machine casinos (one each side) and a couple of separate video games areas, with a couple of childrens fruit machines, limited to 10p a go and 5 jackpot. The mean payout on the gambling games is 72%, for a house edge of 28%. The games are not random.

To the west of Swindon, some half mile from Junction 17 sits the Leigh Delamere service area, run by Moto, spun off from Granada some while back. The Moto brand is run by one of the big catering conglomerates, Compass I believe. It too has a fruit machine casino either side, and a childrens video games area. Gaming machines here are set to an equally generous 72% payout:rolleyes:

There is no Motorway service station actually AT Swindon, although Membury could be referred to as "Swindon Services", as the old practice of naming them after the nearest village, however small, has given way to naming them after larger, well known towns or cities. This has developed along the same lines as method used for naming Weather Radar. Once named after the nearest hamlet or hilltop, these are now named using more generally recognised area or town names.

As you can see, this naming convention, and its evolution, is used for all things that, to the general populace, are either totally irrelevant, or mind numbingly boring subject matter.

Would any one else like to make reference to Motorway service areas:) (or even dare to comment on the efficacy of weather radar, choice of location, global warming etc.:p )

My next dissertation will be on the subject of cloud cover with special reference to it's relationship to retriggers on Thunderstruck. Followed by a brief analysis of the Spring Time, "Does Spring Break pay more during the Spring and early Summer, or is it just as loose (or tight) throughout the year".

No-one of consequence :D

Name those teams!

Old Attachment (Invalid)

VWM: Name the nearest service station, how many fruities they have, the road number and what the weather will be like when you get there.... :p

Error 72% - insufficient data.

Nearest with reference to where?

One of the teams is clearly Acrington Stanley,
The others are:-

Vinyl Wanderers, Swindon Town, Crapchester United.
