Holy Crap

I just wanted to try the new Osbournes.......................but NOOOOOOOOOOOO

My $20 ran out before the FU$^%#NG game even downloaded. I reallly realllly hate this crap. Go& Damn you Grand Mondial

I am so done with them and other MG's that cant get their shit together to dl a game in a normal time. If it's too much for your casino, get rid of some other games

Like I said in another thread......MG is too overwhelming for me

I stopped playing at MGs a little while ago. Last time I deposited I played .27 bets and my $80 deposit was gone in a flash. I mean like less than 30 minutes or so.

I am not kidding at RTG my $20 deposit can last for 5 hours sometimes, I was telling one of the support team at Club World that, and he said "how do you do that?" hahahaha. I told him it must be their good casino. And I only play VP and slots.

I closed my account at Grand Modial and then I became a VIP, after I closed my account.

MG can kiss your grits too? :D

Seriously, I know how you feel. Some frikkin MG joints reinstall every time I open them. Think I've DL'd a few of them 69 times over and it's a real pain it the butt. It doesn't seem to be in their best interest to fix this shit, that's for sure.

Wow! That's one slow internet speed you must have Babs! Did you click on the particular slot you wanted so that it would download that one first????

I assume you did, but it's never taken more than 1 or 2 minutes tops for me to D/L any single slot from MG.

I've got *one* MG on my HD now and that's how it's staying til they fix the download mess. Just been through the totally agonising reinstall process all over after installing a new 400GB boot drive. Awful - sloooow gameplay for hours while it installs, lots of games I'll never play and then, to top it all, T'struck now runs so slow you can see each symbol as the reels spin!! Hmmm...guesss I could map some reels for Zoozie though :D

Yuk.

It's a shame that the WHOLE casino loads in the background whilest you play even when you don't play 3/4 of it. Why can't we just choose exclusively which games we want to download? It's OUR hard-drive after all! How do bonus hunters keep 5-10 full MG installs on their computer without running out of space?

a gig is nothing nowadays. granted i only have ~71 GB usable space, and only about 15 free, but computers ship with at least 100 gigs these days. cripes, they can fit 80 into an ipod, so it won't be long before a terabyte is the norm for a pc.

I have an 80 also. It's just about full from movie downloads though. I only make DVDs at night when I sleep because it needs a solid 4-5 hours to convert the files and burn one DVD, and it uses up ALL of the system resources when it's doing it so you can't surf the net or anything else without getting pissed-off because it hangs so much. I never woulda thought ANY program could tax my system like this when I bought it, but these file conversion and burning programs just kill it!

I hardly ever burn a DVD for the exact reasons you mentioned above. I wonder when I get a newer, faster puter if that will improve the speed on burning DVD's. Anyone with a fairly new model care to comment on the speed issue of burning DVD's?

As long as you have a decent processor and a Gig+ of RAM then it is just down to the hardware.

I use an external to store first and do not ask me why but it is a lot qucker then to burn.

It doesn't matter what puter you use, I'm getting excellent results on a PIII from 2002 :D. For your storage needs, get the toy in the pic below when it's on sale plus a good software like CDBurnerXP or DeepBurner and you'll be in business.

Haven't done any for awhile but used to use dvd decrypter and then burn with dvd shrink. both free via google. haven't ventured into the dual layer stuff yet. Took about as long in toto to decrypt and burn as to watch, but two part process, so no going to sleep 'til it's ripped.
My machine is no great shakes as you can see.

True but as a software developer you shouldn't assume that everyone has the latest kit. My PC is 5 years old and I don't intend changing it unless I really have to. I occasionally (pay someone to) upgrade but hardware and "maintenance" bores me stupid - i just want a PC that works well so I can get on with stuff.

No patience me. If a program fails to install or runs slow, I simply delete it and find an alternative.

My computer is set up for high speed online gaming. It's not old and costed 4k. There's no game that I can't run well, but something about file conversion and DVD burning really taxes the system.

Maybe some burning programs are more effiecient, but I've tried three different ones, and they all kill the computer.

Swede's right! It doesn't matter what computer you use! File conversion and DVD burning are the only things my computer couldn't do with ease. I could probably run 4 Microgaming casinos at once if that were possible. I have heard that external Hard Drives produce DVD's much quicker, but I don't know why.... but that's just the burning end of it... you still have to convert the files first IF you download movies off the net, at least I always have to.

I use a program to burn DVD's called "Magic DVD copier". It automatically saves the movie to your hard drive and then once you're finished burning it, it wipes it clean. Of course, doesn't help much when you're downloading them off the internet. Whole process takes about 40 minutes and I can do whatever I want while it's doing it's thing.. doesn't slow down my laptop at all.

Does it decrypt the file before it burns it also? There's copy protection on virtually all movies these days.

Im tellin ya

it has nothing to do with how fast your PC is. I know Ive said this a million times but.....I got a brand new PC that is very fast and I dont dl anything. I watch movies but dont DL them, after im done with a casino, I uninstall. I have so much room and yet, this frikin MG cant dl in a decent time. Its just BS. I delete temp files and clean my PC every week. Everything else flies except this stupid MG software. As Judge Milian says "stick a fork in me, Im done"

Yes, it does. There are some movies however that it will not burn. Not many, I've run into maybe 5 in a year. It works so well that I was even willing to pay the $40 once the free trial ran out... and I never pay for programs, lol.

Did I hear you say free? Does the free version leave a "watermark" on the film like so many of them do?

Nope, no watermark, it's just like the real movie without any changes! It's only free for so long, I think I got about 10 movies out of it before I had to pay... but $40 isn't so bad, I will get my money's worth outta that within a couple months.

It has nothing to do with your computer's CPU speed, and everything to do with the speed of your internet connection or the casino's internet connection (whichever is slower). It's possible to download an entire MG in less than an hour with a cable modem, but only if the casino's server can offer you that fast of a download speed.
