After years of deliberation I've come to the conclusion that these are the top 5 slots of all time.

#1: koi princess netent why? Shit its beautiful and the bonuses are so plentiful with bonusbet. Sure win free spins can be damn awesome. Low volatility but an all time win

#2: multifruit 81 png because lining up those watermelons for a big payout is quite a common occurance and it's just so damn awesome when you get 3 jokers and it's just fantastic.

#3: Genie jackpots blueprint shit this is addictive as hell. When you get the 9 Genie wilds plus respin you feel like such a rush it's just a great slot with great graphics and features.

#4, #5.. What do you guys think I'm trying to decide.

Immortal romance for wild desire for me

1. Danger High Voltage (My number 1. Perfect balance of variance and big win potential)

2. Book of Dead (Slick, smooth clone of one of the simplest yet most effective slots ever made)

3. Dead or Alive 2 (For the sheer potential of the thing)

4. Bonanza (often not the biggest payer but the rush when GOLD lands...)

5. Immortal Romance (Was a game changer when released and led the way for a few years IMO)

These are my personal choices but admittedly I haven’t played the vast majority of games.

1. BONANZA. For me the best slot of all time. Brilliantly balanced all things considered and pound for pound my number 1.

2. DEAD OR ALIVE 2. For me the game itself isn’t over exciting but you cannot expect it to be when so much rtp is reserved for the huge hits. That considered it’s as good as it could be and there is no buzz greater than watching the counter add up the win knowing it’s a monster and you have x spins to improve on it.

3.BIRDS ON A WIRE. Perhaps not in anybody else’s top 100 but for me it’s a bit different and there is something about landing the scatters which gives me a buzz. (My guilty pleasure, you could say).

4. DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE . Still in my top 5 despite a lot of other releases from BTG since it’s arrival but generally gives decent playtime and also produces the big hits.

5. REEL HEIST AT PEACOCK MANOR. Good game that has an interesting bonus round with lots of variation. A few different random features in the base game, all round a fun game.

Inclined to agree here, that’s a strong list.
I love CFTBL, love the old horror genre and that game can actually pay massive.
Also I’d add JATB my first ever 1000x, and it happened my first ever 2 bonuses on it.
was on some crappy nektan site years ago, I called them and they actually transferred over £600 I think it was into my bank as gesture of goodwill.

Casinomeister classics. For some reason immortal romance and doa never interested me and I gave them A lot of chances for sure. Thanks for your input I think DhV and book of dead are both quite good.

Don’t mention wild reel shit storms.
Jono would love to mention the time he had his, he likes to keep it quiet...

To be honest, I don't care too much how a slot is looking even if there is only one reel spinning in the middle, but if it acts "friendly" and often pays me money—it will become my favourite one.

In general, most of my prefered slots are ugly looking and not entertaining at all. So here is my list of games which in the past were making me jump (or to fell on the floor and spin around):
  • 300 Shields
  • Lucky Lady Charms
  • Girls With Guns: Frozen Dawn
  • The Finer Reels of Life
  • Girls With Guns: Jungle Heat
  • Pretty Kitty
  • oh..almost forgot: Dead or Alive 1 :)
  • ooh...and Montezuma (used to be until they change it)
Usually, I play roulette or blackjack but the games above for me are "must try a few spins at every session".

Bonanza - Obviously the 2017/18 version was better than the current one. Very few games give you 'oh bonus!' feeling like it does, even if you know it's gonna be shite. Clever marketing, subliminal messages? Probably, but who cares.

Immortal Romance - Looking back my X wins weren't that impressive but it played well on the high stakes. Getting 4 reel Wild Desires on 3 quid was the rush (13/14 in lifetime) - played this solidly for a good 18 mths.

Dead or Alive - boring as hell but saved my arse a few times

Reactoonz - You know what you're playing for. Pretty much think PNG are shite but they've the odd good release. 100 spins max usually.

DHV - more 'honest' than Bonanza but not as enjoyable.

I’ve never understood the immortal romance love here, it was probs just before my time.
Never had any luck at all on it.
Seen the hits, but the mobile version is to laggy now and meh.
Wish I was about for the old viper client as heard many a fine tale about them days and love old MG slots.

A funny thing, many years ago when I started gambling I too stuck to blackjack and roulette, thinking people who play slots are idiots frankly.
Now I realize slots is the only way to gamble. With blackjack you will harshly ever get ahead enough to cashout, you either will lose quickly at high stakes or lose slowly at Low stakes. I'm quite sure blackjack and roulette are the house most favorite games.

Slots are volatile enough to give the player a fighting chance because if you never cash out, all you do is lose

In real life casinos however, blackjack and roulette tables are much more fun interactive social and I would not recommend playing slots anywhere else Than online

Yeah old MG slots were the best back in the day. Using all the download Viper casinos to run them.

Like Jon and a few others Ladbrokes was the place for me many a year ago. The Casino and promotions were amazing at the time.

Can't believe i must have been gambling over 20 years online now. Hence the reason 3 of the slots i picked were all must go to MG slots many years ago. Sad that i was playing online and remember each of them getting launched:laugh:

I used to chat to Jon on the old Ladbrokes Facebook page. Ladbrokes were the dogs bollocks back then, the first casino I signed up to.

Used to love the random little promotions like lucky log in etc. Logging in, getting your free £2 and trying to make yourself minted on 10p micro bets on mermaids millions

Yeah i remember all there random promotions as well they were great. Also loved all the weekly and monthly match bonuses with next to no wagering.

Remember their old facebook page well. Also spoke to Jon a few times on that about the promotions. Those were the days lol.

My five. Number 1 is no longer available.

1. The Dark Knight. IMO, it really did have it all. Potential in the base game (my best was a 1900x win on a random Batman Vision feature) and in the free spins (I once hit 1200x).
Then there is just other general random stuff (eg Joker coming out from the bottom-right corner to 5x a base game win of 120x to make it one of 600x or Batman firing his "catapult wilds", which could lead to multiple wildlines).

And of course, the Jackpot Wheel as it was linked to the Mega Moolah progressive.
Had about a dozen MINOR JPs, could never climb up that next step to the MAJOR JP.

2. Immortal Romance. Still play it to this day. Did take a year off from playing it. But even the HTML5 version has not put me off. It can play (and pay) well. All four features have potential, as does the base game.
And then of course, the Wild Desire can get the adrenalin really pumping.

3. DHV. IMO, this game is BTG's best, not Bonanza. Variance is brutal at times, but I have way more confidence in this game than I do in Bonanza. It's also more than capable of paying 1000x in the base game. Having a choice of two features (both of which have gone north of 10,000x) gives it a slight edge over Boanaza (IMO) as well.

4. Jurassic Park. Probably the last truly good slot that MG made. All 5 features can pay well. Base game can pay, even T-Rex Alert can pay.

5. Another one that is no longer available....the Flash version of Raging Rhino. For a while, it was mine (and also dunover's) all time favourite. Then WMS (or rather SG) converted it to HTML5 and butchered the holy bajaysus out of it. Base game could pay well, feature could go quadruple wild nuts.

Honourable mentions.....

Creature From the Black Lagoon - its top-end potential stops it from being in my Top 5. I truly hope that Netent do what they did recently with SOTS...and give it a MAX version. I would be all over it in a heartbeat.
Both the base game and feature can pay well.

All of the above (IMO) are good examples of slots which are not "feature or bust". And they also had some good music in them.

I do have other favourites like Playboy and 300 Shields. But they are pretty much "feature or bust" games, so therefore aren't quite as well-rounded/balanced as the ones I put in my Top 5.

That didn't help MG at all. The way they converted to HTML5 is scandalous, some of the slots are almost unplayable now.

Yeah, 100% agree. On HTML5 version slots are playing like PNG Book of Dead in a bad mood...
But what I recently discovered is that I can play Microgaming slots in a FLASH version if I don't use Chrome browser. Images on my last post were taken at the same casino logged in from two different browsers; Chrome and Opera.

On Chrome I switched to "run flash" plus enabled and allowed all cookies, but a casino was still starting the slots in HTML5. So, Depending on a casino, on Opera, the slots (apart from Immortal Romance) run in old good FLASH without any problem. I tried it on Betsafe, Casumo and some of White Hat Gaming casinos.

Using Opera Immortal Romance in FLASH I was able to play only in Betsafe, on others I get the banner like below:

Hope they don't see this post and don't start to change anything!

I have been gambling for (probably) 14 years and 10 of them only in real casinos more on roulette and time after time on blackjack. I never tried to win a lot on blackjack, but sometimes it often helped me well to pay for my drinks. Then I never played slots and were thinking exactly as you say; slot players are idiots. I often saw those superstitious ones rubbing a slot machine screen and doing other different weird things... lol

4 years ago I moved from London and at the moment live a bit outside and don't visit it often. But if I lived in London, I would definitely swap online gambling for the real casino entertainment at any time. Maybe if I was older I would prefer to stay at home and play online, but I'm young and I reckon that online gambling is burning my real life. :drink:

How can ANYONE pick just 5 - seriously???

I probably play a lot less different slots than most spinners, as I always seem to be drawn back to the same small pool of 30 - 40 different games.
If I HAD to chose just 5 from ALL TIME (and I do for this thread!) they would be...

1. South Park (NetEnt) - I loved this game and miss it so much :(
2. Genie Jackpots Megaways - recently it has been shite, but I had so many great wins on it in the past.
3. Reactoonz (PnG) - love the "tumbling symbol" slots - and this one is the best of the bunch by far.
4. The Osbourns (MG) - another retired game, but an old favourite with it's unique free-spin bonus.
5. Hole in Won (Rival) - low variance like most of their games, but 3 expanding wilds give good win potential and the true skill mini-golf bonus feature is unique and fun.
