(I'm hoping this poll hasn't been done before, although it wouldn't surprise me if it has)

Given that they are essentially the same game, albeit rehashed a little with features moved around, which do you think is better?
I can honestly say that if I had only ever gambled on IR since it was released (and I just mean take away all the gambling I have done elsewhere, on any other games), I would be up a fortune.

It also seems to me that IR has had a very negative effect on TSII lately as well - the latter being absolutely rubbish in every casino where I give it a try. I've also lost count of the number of times I've won several hundred (and the odd thousand) on IR, then went and played other games and lost several hundred, only to go back to IR and win it all back again (and then some in many cases).
It's at a point now where 99% of my casino gaming is done on IR because nothing else plays (and pays) so consistently well.

TSII used to be brilliant, but I can't seem to win bet x 10 anywhere, and the feature has all but vanished for me (and even when I get free spins I'm left scratching my head in bemusement).

So...

Thunderstruck II?
or
Immortal Romance?

I'm always left scratching my head in bemusement after an IR feature not to mention the Wild Desire. I'd definitely say IR though it's more addictive with better music :)

I'm a TSII afficionado. IR is too volatile, and I'm still convinced you 'buy' the 4-reel WD features in virtually all cases.
On IR I simply get fed up with that bloody gong every time the scatter lands on reel 1, which it seems to incessantly. I need Anadins after a while.
I do like the sound effects and music on IR (stupid scatter bongs aside) but TSII still has it overall for me.

I think TS2 have better bonuses (loki beats sarah anytime).

Have you seen 4 wildstorms on winnerscreenshot or show me the money screenshoot? I have only seen IR screenshots with 4 wilds.
So if I had to choose I would choose IR not as good bonuses but a bigger chance you get 4 wild desires then 4 wildstorms.

I prefer IR PURELY because of the Wild Desire feature and the frequency thereof.

TS2 is absolutely horrible with the shyte Storm :) - But Yes, Loki beats Sarah :)

The Soundtrack on IR is totally awesome.

Strangely enough, I must've played tens of thousands (or more - Lord only knows) of spins on Immortal Romance, yet I have had 5 scatter (once) more than 5 Michael (never!).
I'm counting the game as a whole on all casinos. I have never once had 5 Michael, and I find that bizarre.

I've played TSII more than any other slot, had 5 wilds but never 5 scatters. Every other combo I've had though. On IR have had 5 of every number/character with wilds but never seen 5 scatters or wilds. Had 3-reel WD ONCE and never more.

I've had the exact same experience on IR

My vote for Immortal Romance was based on the entertainment factor. The graphics are awesome and the soundtrack's more upbeat.

Regarding payout: High variance slots on Netent and Playtech seem to pay better.

That bloody gong "just give me the feature already" lol! ;)

IR, TSII and TFROL are just the same game with different variance (TSII < IR < TFROL). It depends what kind of variance you prefer.

I'm still convinced you 'buy' the 4-reel WD features in virtually all cases.

So you still think MG slots are compensated

I feel the same. That Michael is somehow unbelievably rare!

Thunderstruck II was the first 243 slot I ever played so I guess I have some kind of affection for it. It can still keep me more entertained than its super tight rivals IR and TFROL :p

Well first off they are NOT the same game. They are VERY similar games, but definitely not clones of each other.

My vote goes for IR too. I do hate the game, but not as much as I hate TS2 and that fricking shit-storm crap. Any game where you get a very rare to hit bonus feature and are praying for it to be over with as quickly as possible so you can get back to spinning the reels has a SERIOUS design flaw IMO. :(

They are as close as you can get for games with different variances. They work exactly the same and have the exact same bonus rounds. The only things that are different are how the symbols are distributed on the reels and the paytable (ie: variance stuff). So it's the same game with different variance and graphics.

Sorry, but they don't.
They work in a similar way and have similar bonus rounds. Similar ≠ same.
Please go and have a closer look.

I voted for Immortal Romance, because I like the look a bit better.
But both these games are killing my bankroll. But I still go back for more :D

No they aren't the same. The weighting of RTP is heavier as regards the wild reels features on IR and TFROL, less so on the TSII sh!tstorm feature.
You also have wilds appearing on the same reel as character/picture symbols on IR/TFROL unlike TSII.
This means the maximum reel win in normal play x stake is far far higher on IR/TFROL. This carries over to bonus rounds too obviously.
Very different slots.

I voted TS2. I suppose people will feel they do better on 1 part of the game than they do on the other.

For instance the only thing I ever play is TS2, and regularly deposit yet for around 18 months now have not hit more than 2 wilds on the shitstorm feature. Though I do tend to do ok in normal spins/free spins.

When I played IR for a while I felt there was a decent chance I could hit something decent on the games equivalent of the wildstorm however barely ever hit anything in normal spins/free spins. I think the only decent hit I ever had was on the 3rd free spins feature hitting around £180 from playing @ 0.30p. Play time also seemed to last for half of what it normally would had I played on TS2.

TS2 everytime for me.

But that's exactly what different variance means dunover. It's the same game with different variances (different reel configurations, pay tables, number of spins for each bonus feature...) All these factors decide whether you receive more small wins and fewer big wins or the opposite. At the end of the day, they likely have the exact same RTP.

IR beats TSII in every way IMO.

I found TSII a rather boring game, you cannot possibly win anything big in normal spins, and the shitstorm never pays anything worth taking a screenshot of.
Never liked the game much.

Loved IR from the start, and its still in my top-3 of favourite and most played games.
Got 4 reels wild 3 times so far now, and many great hits with the Amber feauture.

The scatters can be a bit annoying yes, I just hit STOP every time 2 of them hit.

Pity TFROL isn't included in the poll, I like that one too, but its not as good as IR.

I have it permanently on Turbo Play / Quick Spin ... I only play at Normal speed in the Free Spins. Must be why I can burn through a chunk of Cash feeling left without play time :)
