Lol true. I think little kids are the only ones who get happy when they see snow here. Most other people I know hate it. It only takes 5-10 cm of snow here to cause problems with the roads, trains, and flights.

I'm the opposite though. I like snow, especially when it's thick and doesn't melt. But you never see that here, maybe somewhere up in Scotland. It's definitely nothing like the snow you'd see in places like the Nordics, Russia, or Canada.

Snow is great as long as it stays, we have really crappy weather here at the moment.
We had a decent amount of snow like a week ago, with temperatures around -5c to -10c, which imo is the sweet spot. Not very cold but cold enough for the snow not to melt away.

This is our weather now, and if the forecast is correct it will stay like this for a while.
Any snow that falls during the night when its colder just melts away the next day, so its wet and icy everywhere. We might end up with a Christmas without snow, which is very rare here in Northern Sweden.

The La Palma volcano is continuing to "baffle" the experts. They at first stated that the volcano would not erupt. Then they stated it would soon peter out without incident.
Now 2 new volcano's have erupted,one mile and about 3 miles from the original. The live feeds have been avoiding these new eruptions but this is quite possibly due to having a duty of care towards the 80,000 residents.
It is not clear to me if this red alert means evacuating all residents or if it is localized? This is not ending any time soon.

Edit. Just to add that there is a lot of deformation on the island right now which means the ground has risen in places up to 20cm. This means a lot of pressure re magma and gases. Those two new Volcano's could be vents relieving those pressures

This started around January 8, 2026, as massive protests entered their second week. The regime first imposed a near-total shutdown of domestic internet, mobile networks, and even landlines in some areas.

People turned to smuggled Starlink terminals (estimates put 40,000–50,000 in use) to bypass the blackout and share protest footage.

Experts like Amir Rashidi from the Miaan Group tracked the response. He reported about 30% packet loss on Starlink connections starting Thursday, with some areas hitting 80% loss. The interference goes beyond simple GPS jamming (which Starlink terminals use for positioning).

Authorities deployed military-grade jammers targeting satellite uplink/downlink frequencies, similar to Russian tactics in Ukraine but scaled up here.

Service varies by location. Some spots keep partial connectivity, others become nearly unusable. Reports mention possible Russian hardware (like Krasukha-4 systems) and Chinese jamming techniques helping Iran pull this off. It's the first time they've degraded Starlink this severely during unrest.

I think without Epstein around there would be insufficient evidence for new charges, or simply hard to prove anything, and whoever released those files knew it.

But there are tons of other stuff besides Epstein that could be brought up.
