The Osbournes slot strange behaviour (MGS)

I noticed a strange thing the other day, this slot machine has a bonus called "Knock Knock Bonus".

When 3-5 bonus symbols occurs from left to right the bonus feature is triggered. This symbol btw:



To explain even more detailed, the symbol has to occur on reel one, AND reel two, AND reel three to trigger the bonus feature.

When the symbol occurs on reel one, it shivers, and you are of course awaiting reel two to see if it's there too.

When the symbol doesn't occur at reel one, but on reel two, the symbol doesn't shiver.

So far, so good.

Now to the strange thing:

If the symbol occurs at reel one, not at reel two, it shivers on reel three even though the chance to trigger bonus feature is gone.

I checked further, both in real money mode and in free play, it shivers on reel 3, 4 and 5 if it occurs on reel one even though it's not occuring at reel two.

The problem with this is that players think that they can trigger the Knock Knock Bonus when they infact can't (if the symbols isn't occuring at reel two).

I played this slot some years ago, and then I think it was behaving correct. Has there been an update?

Several slots have similar bugs related to scatters. On TDK, sometimes you'll get a scatter on the first reel but it won't make the "scatter sound". Every time that this bug occurs, you know that you won't get another scatter on that spin (this bug was carried over from the old LOTR slot). The missing "scatter sound" is also present on Arctic Fortune, but it doesn't affect the reels ("mute" scatters are dropping randomly).

BetSoft is by far the worst offender for this though, they have so many bugs on their slots that it would take a week to list them.

There is/was a similar bug on RTG Cleopatra

The silent scatter bug also occurred on RTG Cleopatra, there was no sound for the scatters if you did not get the feature. Not sure if that is still valid.

The Cleopatra bug that I remember was that the "spinning" would last noticeably longer when you'd get the feature. So you knew that you were going to get the free spins and the first reel hadn't even stop yet.

That was several years ago though.

I played this slot some years ago, and then I think it was behaving correct. Has there been an update?

This bug has ALWAYS been on this slot since it first came out in October 2007.
I know that for a fact because I used to play it a LOT!

This is just one of several "Scatter Bugs" on MG slots. See if you can spot the similar bugs on What on Earth and Arctic Fortune...
