Hello fellow forum members.
Frankly, I'm mystified why this needed to be a poll.
But, I can't stop the man responsible for "
ComedyCentral" from putting this kind of stuff up, and I guess I'll just have to play along at this point.
My fingers are crossed that there won't be too much "johnsteed" backlash stemming from this.
I'm probably going to go on at length here, so this is not for the (currently) 12.50% that feel that I go-on-and-on-and-on-and-on... rather for the 54.17% and the 20.83% (currently) that don't seem to mind that I do.
I appreciate everyone's feedback, and I ALWAYS appreciate the encouragement. This has been my favorite website for quite some time now, and that's saying a lot considering that I'm a huge
ESPN/
FOXSPORTS/
SI/
NME aficionado. All of those sites take a backseat to what I get out of this site.
My longest posts - as far back as I can remember - would have to be my interviews with various forum
Casinomeister.com icons. I suppose I could do "
The Tonight Show'esque" type interviews that are candid and swift, but I prefer to take the "
Charlie Rose" approach (I can only dream of it) and turn it into a 30 minute/1 hour segment. I'd like to know as much as I can about other forum members, considering that most of us merely give snippets of our lives to one another at a place we often visit, and if we can have fun doing it, all the better.
Whenever I post here, I feel a certain amount of responsibility each time I do so. Sounds corny, I'm sure. But it's true. There's probably no more than .027% of my posts that look like this...
"
"
like this...
"LMFAO!!!"
or like this...
"PlayTech sucks for reasons A,B,C...X,Y,Z!"
That's not a shot at those of you who do that, it's just not me. There are some posts that I've made that I'm proud of, and others I wish I could delete. I'm sure I'll make a post next week, and 3 weeks later wish I'd never said that.
For the most part, I get tons of gratification putting some of these posts together. I may put a lot into it (and sometimes not as much as people may believe), but it's generally well worth the effort.
Side Note I - For the record, I don't believe I've ever mentioned American football, and as much as I like American pop-culture, I'm most certainly interested in global pop-culture as well (I've been big on EVERYTHING from the
U.K. for as back as I can remember... the theme song to "
Coronation Street" is playing in my head while I'm typing this... I am "
John Steed" remember, not "
Magnum P.I."!).
Side Note II - The flip-side to my making my posts too long is that perhaps others are just making their posts too short.
Side Note III - I always love
KasinoKing's honesty, so "
Side Note 1" wasn't meant to be cast in any negative light directed at him. Even if my "
EPIC" tales go on forever, I always get excited reading his posts/game logs. And I still pine for the days of
KK vs.
Slotchik (sigh).
Side Note IV - Funny that
KK has used "
EPIC" roughly 5 times now, because out of all of "
the AVENGERS " episodes, "
EPIC" (season #5 episode #11) is probably my favorite one.

The genius behind legendary director ZZ von SCHNERK. :notworthy
Side Note V - I don't think I've ever made a "
Side Note IV", and as I'm typing this, I'm trailblazing my way to "
Side Note V" as well.

I certainly look forward to his posts although i haven't seen him around much lately.
I'm streaky like that. I think I was "too close to the edge" last winter, probably spending too much time posting (not necessarily a bad thing). I've got some stuff on the back-burner at the moment.
