I'm sure you've all experienced it before. You come home from the B&M and a family member or friend asks "Howdja do?" Or, in simpler terms, "how did you do?" I thought it would be fun to be able to tell eachother how we did during trips to the B&M... what games we won on, biggest win, etc.

I'll start :)

Took $100 to the local racino on Saturday. Hit for $218 on "Merlin's Ring Quest" on a .60 bet! Won $85 on "Nefertiti" (WHICH I LOVE) and won on $67.00 on "Stinkin' Rich"

Got absolutely killed on Wolf Run - Yikes!

Brought $100, walked out with $100, gain of $100!

Few months back for me now just no time to go. Last time i went took 400
won on cleo 365 playing 9 lines 5 cents by 2 coins. Played for knox cleo 15 lines out of 20 for 40 cent bet won geesh know it was over 500. Played video cleo
20 lines by 2 cents by 60 coins cashed out 300. How can you tell i like cleo LOL
Blazing 7s won 128 dollars cant recall bet size. Must be getting old played bunch of video slots did so so. Took home my 400 plus 250 and was there for 36 hours grabbed free room and played again for 12 more hours and left.

I had a friend once that asked how I did, I said I won about $900, he said how much did you take? I said $850. He said so you came home with $1700. I said no I came home with $900, he says so you won $50 and I say no, I won $900 because I had intended to lose it all and I was down to my last 20 when it started picking up anyway.

These non-gamblers will never get it.:eek2:

 Too funny and sooo right (in a gamblers own way that is)....:D

I always say it's a win win when one comes home with even half of what one took but if one comes home with all plus...then thats a winner no matter if it is a buck or two!

It gives one another chance at the big one...don't they see this?;)

Just got back from Atlantic City for 4 days...played alot of Top Dollar Machines ($5.00) at Ballys and the Hilton. Both times they started off slow, but after being patient and increasing my investment, both machines paid off nice.

Also, had a good run playing Monty Carlo $1.00 machine at Ceasars. Only put in $100 and got that up to close to $1,000. Tropicana slots extremely tight both in high limit and lower limit. Played a little at Borgata and did OK on $1.00 top dollar. Overall, finally a profitable vacation and saw a show at Trop called Dancing queen. Also, there's a restaurant at Bally's called The Reserve that was very nice but bring alot of money or comps.

Wow how true most times and plse all newbies to onland and online casinos plse rmbr more times then not plan on losing what you take or put into a casino.
If your even or up its a blessing these days. It seems they tweak these machines to the point that not a lot hits just enough to make you want to spin a few more times. Been while for me at a land casino and now its time for saving for xmas so it will be while before i go. GOOD LUCK to all that do and keep us posted.

LOL Debbie

Top Dollar is my husband's favorite game and hes not even a gambler. I use to win at Caesers but its been awhile. Its been over a year since Ive won at the Hilton too

I do well at the Trop (that's my baby). The thing with the Trop, you have to know which machines to play as this rules doesnt always apply but in this case it does. I play the same machines and Im learning that even the time makes a difference. The funny thing is the last time I went down, 2/3 of my favorite hitting machines were out of order lol. Coincidence? When they are in working order and I play at the right time, I win win win. Those 3 machines I speak of hit everytime and they are downstairs in the smoking section. One is 2 of them are triple sevens and both are 2 coin slots. one is in the round by the candy store (times 5 is cattycorner behind) and the other one is in the first row all the way to the left by hooters, its a sit down next to crystal 7's. The third one is bonus times 12 , its the 2nd machine from the aisle also downstairs.

Triple 7's (in the round) : between 8-10am
Triple 7's (by hooters ) : between 4-6pm
Bonus times : 7-9am and 5pmish

just incase you go down again. Oh...and the WOF triple 7's on the end downstairs in smoking is a good one. Dont play the brand new WOF with the 3/4 times downstairs, it will suck your money!

I cant even count how many cashouts I have had from those 3 machines. Im going down for 2 nights in sept. Ill let you know how it goes

that's very interesting babs...I'll have to make note of those machines because I was down there playing in that smoking section. They were some of the lower limit ones I was talking about that were tight.

It's funny, whether I win or lose in Atlantic City, I still think land based casinos at the present time are SO MUCH better than playing online. While I used to invest alot of money online, things changed so much this year, that I very rarely deposit anymore....just don't believe the games are random at all and have been adjusted DOWNWARD.

I feel if you go into a land based casino, there are so many options and each one of those machines are random. It's very possible to find one, like you've found a few and so did I this past weekend. Online, just about every slot is cold at every place and you don't feel there's a remote chance of hitting anything worthwhile. That's why I'd rather drive down to Harrah's Chester or AC and risk the money there. Not to mention the free hotel rooms and dinners, drinks, etc. Thinking about it, there's simply no comparison.

Just a couple notes for everyone. First, one of my favorite casinos Used to be harrah's chester. For the first 6 months it opened in 2007, it was great. I played alot in the high limit room and actually won many times. In late 2007 until now, this casino is the absolute worst! The high limit room is always empty because it's impossible to win in there. I now rank this casino as one of the worst i know. I very rarely see anybody win in there and people don't look like they're having a good time (easy to see why)

I just got back from AC today and played at Bally's (another total rewards casino). This casino was bad too. Lost too much in the high limit room (never even got one top dollar on that machine or anything for that matter). I truly believe these "total reward" casinos have tightened their slots to the point that they are just stealing from most of their players. I'm going to Harrahs laughlin next week and think that I'll try to find any casino there that is NOT total rewards as I find it almost impossible to win at these places anymore. It's not worth playing there just to get their "rewards" in my opinion.

I hate Harrah's in Chester. If you check out their 2007 statement, you'll see that overall their payouts were at 91%.

Which reminds me, I need to contact them regarding their electronic "Blackjack" machines. I have a feeling that they have these set to ~91% which would mean that you're not playing blackjack, and it's more like a slot machine. If that's the case, I'm going to ask them for all of my money back from what I've deposited in those machines. Why? False advertising. Not one place in/around those machines do they say that the payouts are what you would get from a REAL game of blackjack.

Which would explain why I've never had ONE winning session out of about 10 down there.

I've had some great runs this summer

but just to preface this post....Yes, I have since lost most of what I won back to the various casinos..with the exception of paying off the balance on my Visa card.
At the Mohegan Casino (ct.) in July, was playing a .25 cent pick'm poker machine at the rate of 5 quarters per hand for about 30 minutes and just holding my own....had a sudden urge to hit the 'bet max' button (100 quarters) and got a straight flush for $6,000.00.

It was the first and last time I had played a hand for that much. Of course uncle Sam got 1/4th of it...but still it was amazing.

Funny thing is, I really don't know why I hit the max button, it really was hardly even a conscious effort. Prior to the hit, a friend had suggested to me I might want to start using a certain phrase twice a day when alone. The phrase goes like this, "God, if you are real, please reveal yourself to me"...twice a day for 30 days.
I had been saying it for about 30 days when the hit came up. Honestly now..could it be true? hmmmm.

Also had some great runs in September. As long as I've been gambling that is the way my wins have come...in streaks. During an unlucky time for me I think I could bet a million dollars and lose every dollar..but during a streak it comes in like a flood..of course the streaks don't come often enough :)
I had visited the new MGM Foxwoods and the Mohegan in Ct about 9 times in 14 days during September. I won 7 of those times. Of particular note was a night at the Mohegan when playing a $50.00 craps table (bought in for $200.00) and walked out with over $5,000.00. in little less than an hour. During a time while I was shooting the dice, a girl at the table was making lots of money playing the 11 & 12...As a note of appreciation she threw a $50.00 bet on the 'hard 10' for me...wouldn't you know it, the very next roll was a 5 5 hard ten ...it paid $350.00
I love remembering those great nights.... but since then, as I said at the start, it's all gone...I'm back to earth. Now just waiting for the next run to start :D

harrahs new orleans

Went to New Orleans 2 weeks ago, lost big time at Harrahs Casino. Couldn't win no matter what I played, how much I played...NOTHING. It was terrible. Foolishly i kept pumping more money into the machine and ended up losing all the money I went with. A local "regular" told me they are set up to take the tourist money. Don't know if it is true or not but he said if I didn't have a well established players card I was basically doomed. Maybe he was right; never had such bad luck at any casino.

Hi Jenni

I know what your feeling. Have been there (not that particular casino) many times. Some days it makes no difference what you play nor how much you spend...if it isn't your day the 'fun' is very limited.
I'd be surprised to learn that a slot will pay differently for people depending on who they are or how much of a regular you are?

Spent 3 comped nights during Xmas at Sam's Town in Tunica. Weather was rainy and miserable so we didn't casino hop very much. Resorts had a his/hers watch giveaway (cute, but ultra cheap) the day we arrived and to my surprise there was no line and not very many people (mostly locals) there. Took advantage of free buffet for two. No hits there.

Ventured to Gold Strike one morning (they have covered parking) -- double points day. A few people there. Didn't hit anything there, either.

Sam's Town has changed/overhauled their players card/comp system (don't ya love 'new and improved' that screws over the player?). The changeover lost me VIP status, and nearly $300 in (food) comps. "Everyone is starting from scratch." Doesn't make me feel less screwed.

Even with the new, crappy, points system, we managed to earn enough points to eat for 'free'.

Hit some nice quads playing VP. Hubby had a couple of good runs at BJ. We came home with a little more money than we took with us. About damn time, too. LOL

Most exciting hit was on a penny White Orchid slot. Slipped in my last $20 of the day (I set daily loss limits for myself) started out betting .80 a spin, and every once in awhile I'd pop it up to $1.60 or $2.40 for a spin or two. Hit the bonus betting $1.60 and the lovely thing kept retriggering. I know everyone around me was sick of the music and sound effects, but screw it... I was having a ball. LOL Ahhhhhh.... Must have had over 100 spins as I lost count at 6 retriggers. Bonus round put me up over $300. Played for almost 2 hours solid on that machine, got the bonus round a few more times, but payouts were mediocre to crap. Played it down a bit (gotta see if it hits again, right?) and cashed out $250.

Hope it's not another year before we get to go gambling again. I do love the casino atmosphere.

i miss those holiday getaways down in tunica, glad you came home with more than you took lol, have you ever used the valet service deb? i always use that service, a few bucks for the tip and less headache, walking and wondering where i might have parked at, i have been known to forget where i was parked:oops:.....................laurie

Hubby hates Valet parking. He can't stand someone pilfering with his 'stuff'.

They always move the seat (usually 'up' so hubby bumps his head trying to get in), fiddle with the radio, change the A/C thermostat settings.... (one time we could tell someone had shuffled through the junk and papers in the glove box ) guess they like playing with all those buttons. LOL

We hadn't been to Tunica since last Xmas. First one thing and then the other kept us here. I really missed our usual fall trip. The drive is almost too long, though. 6+ hours. We really don't enjoy that part of it anymore.

Men are so funny about their cars. When a girlfriend and I go up to Rama, we always take advantage of the valet parking. The couple of male friends I've went with and my late beloved, don't want anyone else touching their cars. It is a much more personal relationship between men and cars and women and cars.

They would much rather wander with their luggage (even though you are more than willing to wait with it) through the rotten miserable weather that was not happening two nights ago and be all grumpy coming to pick you up in the nice snug hotel lobby, than let some other man drive their vehicle.

*bump*

Bally's sent me an invitation to a $25K blackjack tournament that took place yesterday. I did shitty in the tourney, so I ended up at the tables....

I took ~$180 with me, and ended up walking out of there with just under $4 grand :eek2:

The first time around, I went bust with $20 in my pocket. I ended up hitting the ATM for $40 more and went to a $10 table and never looked back. I ended up in the high limit room playing anywhere from $100-$500 a hand

All in all, it was one of my best runs EVER. I just wish they would happen more often!

Here's a pic I snapped of my stacks about halfway through my run. There's about $2400 there..
