New Slot Announcement The Final Countdown by BTG (or Danger High Voltage II)

Tried this slot a few times and got absolutely no fucking where with it! I might keep playing it though as surely I'll get some luck with it soon........

......right?

............right??

So finally got the feature what a joke over 4000 plays and finally get the feature desided.to go for the 15spins want quite sure what to expect and for a whopping £3.20

Lovely what a game

So thought maybe a one off so tried again this time just over 750 plays got the feature again treid the same.one and for a whopping
£5.40 lol
Things I got during this entire nightmare

I got 1x4 reel spin and they were all mixed so got just a few £ for many 2 feature spins and the biggest win was just over £11
So in my books what a load of rubbish spend a huge amount for very little excitement and enjoyment
But this was my personal.experience but by what I see and videos around seems.to be a HUGE volatile machine not many streamers playing it I gather due to the same.oe.similar results as mine seems.to.be a great money maker for the Devs and casinos alike

Took me over 1000 spins to trigger the bonus. 20 p paid 9.80. What a waste of time and money. To top it off this game is incredibly boring.

Would I be a bit disappointed for 45 spins? Yes. Would I be reasonably happy with a 100x plus bonus. These days, absolutely.

Slotting at 6:40am, I'm impressed!

Getting to the 256x with 5 spins is a great result, and the spins themselves weren't too bad either. (Although the last two were a bit stinky, in relative terms.)

I can't help but feel there's a proper mega-monster out there on this one, as the purple gems are on reels 1 and 6, so getting them passing through should be possible. (Assuming the round isn't controlled to prevent it.)

Either way, 4381x is a fantastic hit, although it'll have to take second place on the CM high score podium thus far ;)

@ChopleyIOM I think we both caught the slot at the right time. This was the first time I had played it (VideoSlots are slow with new games) and really wasn't expecting much to happen.

I agree with the potential, though I feel the two purple gems would be asking too much!

Maybe, just maybe...:D
About that podium choppers - i already pushed you off of it but i forgot to post the proof here :p

This was a week or maybe three after it's release, had played it tons and tons and really had some awesome results with those big wilds in the base game, but despite maybe having the perfect set up in The Countdown Bonus like 10 times never managed the retrigger in the second stage.

That said, i did manage the ultimate line-hit with it:

The purples alone paid 6400x

Only my biggest multiplier ever, until the other day when i hit that 7500x on Ra :D

Well that answers a lot of questions. I was quite surprised in Chopleys vid just how prepared the first purple gem was to land. I know this is still going to be a case of most won’t see it but it didn’t seem as blocked as you might expect at max 256x.

My first session on this slot left me with about as bad a first impression that any game has ever given me.

1,000+ spins. Four bonuses. Countdown paid 23x. The other three were all Venus and paid 6x, 10 and 17x.

Base game managed to give me one win that scraped past 50x, but that was basically my lot.

Total waste of £100 while playing on mere 20p bets. Distinctly unimpressed.

Seeing the wins that Nicola, inky and Choppers posted might not even be enough to persuade me to even give it a second try,
because when this game is cold, it's cold and dead.

I'd choose the original DHV over this at least 999 times out of 1000.

I still think Bonanza is Btg’s best creation. It doesn’t have regular monster wins I know but it does have everything else. The problem since, is I think Btg have tried to replicate the format and produce games that pay monsters. That comes at a cost to the player and Imo they haven’t got the balance right and with the megaways model perhaps Bonanza is as good as it gets.

If I hadn't been getting crushed by Bonanza on a deposit by deposit basis since October (haven't played it since March because I just got totally fed up with it),
then I would "probably" agree with you.

The one thing that still might stop me from agreeing with you is the triggering frequency average. Don't get me wrong, I've played tonnes of games where I've had to wait over 450 spins for a feature. In fact, I could probably name about 10 that have made me wait over a thousand spins.
And some of the games in question are among my all-time favourites (eg Finer Reels, Jurassic Park, Immortal Romance)

The thing is though, these instances would have been major outliers. With Bonanza, such barren feature-free runs can all too easily become commonplace.
That is something I'm just not comfortable with, especially if I am also getting rubbish base game play to go with it (which I had been).
So I haven't even had the safety net of the base game to rely on/help me out.
Add that all up and the total sum of my most recent play on Bonanza equals an utterly boring, uneventful and deflating experience.
Enough to completely erode any confidence I had in the slot's ability to deliver a decent payout.
Certainly not what I want to be getting from my slotting.

At the end of the day, a player's view of a slot will undoubtedly by influenced by some form of "recency bias" ie how well they are running on it at the moment.
I'm running horrifically bad on it and have done for such a long time, that I have now been driven to hating it with a passion.

Would a run of good luck restore my faith/confidence? Maybe. But I'm at that point where I simply can't face the idea of playing it.
Have been for three months now. I just feel like I'm going to bust out and be left spitting venom or muttering profanities to myself.
And once I get to that point, it's pretty much the death knell for any wish I have to give it another try.

Fair enough but my strategy for the game is totally different than most players from what I have read. As you rightly say judgement of a slot is influenced by our returns and my rtp is a little over 105% so yes I am probably biased.

Same as you Marty, played it once, although on a smaller scale, same bet size however.

Imagine my joy when I hit 3 scatters after just 5, count em FIVE spins!

It soon took back the £3.40 it paid me :)

"Silly mistake" I actually said out loud to the slot as I've not been back since and unless I get 5 scatters on DoA AND a wild line in the same session, extremely unlikely to return to it.

Edit: As for Bonanza, although I don't play it anywhere near as much as when it was released, thinking long and hard about it - I cannot complain really, had some decent wins (in terms of low roller £££ and not x)

Well I have tried the "go big or go home" approach and it has failed darn near 100% of the time.

I've also tried the "long-roll grind" approach. That had been successful on many an occasion. The problem is, even on occasions where I was successful, I was near
driven to the point of madness. One example being waiting nearly two hours for my first base game win of the session above 25x, another example going nearly 2,000 spins (which took 3 hours and 59 minutes) to get one feature. In that almost four hours, I had a net loss of over £200 on mere 40p bets. Amazingly, in both those sessions, I came out with a profit of more than £100. But it was tortuous at times.
And this is coming from someone who actually enjoys a grind (I'm probably one of the very few members here who actually LIKES Holy Diver).

But I have my limits. And Bonanza would not only stretch those limits regularly, it would break them.

And therein lies a problem. Even when I won, I didn't really "enjoy" the session overall. It was more "relief" than enjoyment.

Whereas with DHV or Queen Of Riches, I found myself enjoying sessions, even on occasions when I lost.
I felt like I had got some action for my money, if not a cashout.

I don't know what it is*, but I just feel that Bonanza possesses the ability to "push my buttons" more than pretty much every other slot.
And this is a slot that gave me one of my best ever wins (2nd biggest in terms of cash, 6th biggest in terms of x bet, 2nd biggest ever cashout).

So it's not like this game has never delivered the goods for me. But when I run bad on it, I run really bad on it.
This isn't the first time I've taken a break from it lasting two months or longer, in order to preserve my sanity.

* Probably the average feature triggering frequency. It just makes me wary from the start.
