Hi guys,

Nothing like a good poll every now and again and seeming as this seems more topical than usual recently...

I ran that poll on whether they're worth it - but now lets do the real deal. Do you or dont you "Bonus"?

Cheers

PS. You can choose more than one option

Not played a casino with bonus funds since September. Nowadays the playthrough is too restrictive. I play mainly poker (on my 54 prima accounts :D )

Still have an occasional flutter on BJ but avoid bonuses like the plague, nothing but trouble IMHO

I'm more interested in loyalty bonuses, that what i pick, inetbet and casino fortune, gives them to me.

People need to learn how to play with no bonus when they dry up.

I usually play with bonus and have very little issues with them. However when I joined 32 Red I did not take the bonus, looked like trouble to me. Did not win that session and it would have carried over. I do like the loyalty bonus though.

Well, I voted they're 'important to me', though that's a bit of an understatement. 'Main source of income' might cover it... is 'manna from heaven' going a bit far  Apologies - slightly drunk on a royal flush pushing my 'earnings' since discovering bonuses in February to nearly 17k tax free ($34k).

By 'Loyalty Bonus', do you mean monthly deposit bonus? They are the only thing that 'do it' for me (as long as they're 50%+ and NOT sticky!). Being a self-confessed low-roller, comp point programs have no appeal to me at all.

BTW, I do also regularly deposit without a bonus as well.
(By regularly, I mean once EVERY year! :D )

I dont get this sticky bonus thing - i thought they were a good thing KK? What am i missing?

I never take the bonus. It is such a waste to have to risk your deposit for such a measly amount of free money which most of the time is not free money at all. I wish the casinos removed bonuses totally, it would pretty much cause the demise of the casino complaints section. I can also guarantee that if all casinos got rid of bonuses their business would not be hurt, people still want to gamble it is an addiction. Just my opinion.

They'd still gamble, but not at 99% of on-line casinos! Off to buy some Christmas pressies with that 'measly amount of free money' they give out

Yes,bonuses are restrictive but there was one in particular I liked but didnt take at the end. This casino credits you with the full amount lost from your initial deposit as a bonus with wagering requirements,of course. This gave me a second chance only if I lost. Luckily,I wonso I cashed out. No problems with that.

No,it's Brandy. You develop a sort of love-hate relationship with this casino. The CSRs are courteous and helpful but I always wonder why they try to ask players to bombard some forums eg Online Gambling Forums with stupid posts. Really baffling.

Never played without a bonus. Why should I give up something that reduces (or if I am lucky negates) the house advantage? Especially in an environment that is so open to blatant fraud from the casino itself. Never been banned from a casino or labeled a bonus abuser, probably because most of my playing was before the casinos got all paranoid. I haven't chased bonuses like madman though. I have stayed away from pretty much all RTG casinos since it wouldn't be worth the headache.

Rewarding loyalty is probably a better way to encourage the losers in the long run. But I suspect bonuses do a better job att getting new customers than loyalty programs since there are so many bonuses around. I don't care either way. If I'm offered bonuses, im fine with it. If I'm not, I'm fine with it. (Voted for bonuses though, since thats what I used when I played).

These days you can find me playing Texas Hold'em instead. It is much more fun and unlike casino games it can be a +EV game. Oh, and there is never any hassle when you use bonues at online poker room. You can cash out the second you cleared it, and they wouldn't dream of calling you a bonus abuser.

I agree. There is obviously a great competition among casinos when it comes to sign-up bonuses. But rewarding loyalty with better offers would surely benefit both the players and the casinos.

I hope to God that someday in my lifetime I will be able to refer to $20,000+ dollars as a measly amount of money.

I am sure they would have removed bonuses if they could! Given that most of them dislike bonus abuse, wouldn't they be the first to remove bonuses if they have the choice? Your guarantee? If you have that kind money why don't you open 12 online casinos. How much is your guarantee worth any way? :)
