When I used to play online I loved playing high variance slot machines as well as some decent medium variance games. Stand outs for me and go easy on me as these are now quite old, include Playtech's Great Blue in terms of high volatility and another Playtech slot in the form of Gladiator.

Great Blue you could go many hundreds of spins before you hit the three clam shell feature, but it often had the propensity to pay out and pay out big. Gladiator for me was at the time of its release just head and shoulders above anything else around at the time IMO. The cinematic effects added to the two great feature bonus rounds, had me playing it for ages in any one session.

What about you?

It's always been Dead or Alive 2 and the Feauture Buy variant. My biggest wins have come from them in terms of Multiplier.

My biggest wins in terms of value came from the original DOA.

I think what is considered a big win has changed a bit over the years.
1000x used to be a lot more rare on slots from yesteryear, now that the volatility has gone up about 834% (rough estimate) you see those hits much more often.

Personally i think older slots like DoA still holds up against the competition.
The bonus frequency is much more reasonable than it is on most new ultra volatile slots, also theres no ante-bets or bonus buys that cost you 1000x stake to buy.
You wont see many wins in the 5000-10,000x range but for wins in the 1000-3000x range a DoA wildline does the trick.

It also has one of the best slot sequels ever made in Dead or alive 2, if you want 10,000x+ wins i reckon DoA2 will do just as good if not better than most of the new crap being released today.
Also theres DoA3, but we dont talk about DoA3.

I loved Playtech's Great Blue but only ever played it 5 or 7 lines, for even greater volatility, doesn't take much to line up once the stacked Orca's are in play with a 15x multiplier, even 3 lines wins pay big, but won't play it now it forces 25 Lines.

In general for big wins that can be achieved from normal play (not the monstrosity bonus buys), it has to be DOA2, my 3 biggest x wins have been from this. But another great shout and similar game is Cazino Zeppelin Reloaded.

Also think Zeus vs Hades deserves a mention, it can be brutal with loads of 0.1x bonuses, but had plenty of 1-3000x base game hits and bonuses up to 6000x.

I've started choosing High Noon a lot more after I got a 700x on Train Heist. I think that might be my best for a while so might as well mix it up and go for the big one!

I'm slowly building up to a super mega win on it, I'm at 40x so far

Are you really not going to mention Who's The Bride?

Donuts & Chocolates by BTG are my go-to games to start out with. Both can pay handsomely in the base game when connecting 4 purple donuts or 4 purple chocolates with multiples of each in the boxes. Slap a X6 in there in Chocolates and it can go nuts.. and I'm not even mentioning the bonus.

I cant play WTB now, they removed it from the Swedish market.
But obviously if you have the option to try and line up 5 Asian brides instead of 5 filthy outlaws you should go for the brides.

Also, there is only one rtp version for WTB as far as i know and thats the full 96.8% rtp one.

That question can't be answered as it doesnt exist.

The only answer would be to look at the max win multiplier for a game and to divide that by occurance in millions of spins.

And what is satisfying multiplier? Prags go to 5000x, 10kx or a bit more.
Some nolimit is way higher.

Well.. at least you have great memories of all the fun times that you've had with those lovely ladies over the years. I'm sure they needed a break from you. They'll eventually realize what they're missing out on and come back to you in due time. Hopefully.

Beyond progressive jackpot games, which don't really count, is there anything bigger than Tombstone RIP's 300,000x max win potential? Not that many, if any, of us will ever see that land.
I do think the most consistent game for big wins remains DOA2 - I can't even play DOA1 anymore since they have bastardised it with those cripplingly slow win count-ups that you can't skip 😑
I've had easily over ten 3000x-plus wins on DOA2, it is the Daddy of realistically-achievable big wins.

Great topic! For big wins I think high variance slots are definitely the way to go. Games like Dead or Alive 2 and Sweet Bonanza have some incredible win potential. The feature buy option is also a game changer for players who want to get straight into the bonus rounds. What do you all think about crash games for big wins? Would love to hear more opinions!

The slow count-up amused me at first. Like they decided that "you must enjoy all wins equally". But I'm the same now.

Plus I've never had any luck on DoA1, best win 296x and that was recently when every slot was running hot so I gave it a random spin. Also never hit a 5oak sheriff. Had quite a few on DoA2, even a double.

Haven't played slots that long but at one point I was only rotating DoA1/2.

Tombstone Slaughter is 500,000x, and apparently a few people have won it.

But what are they pointing at and laffing? :P

Is Who's the Bride a Net ent game?
Yes sir.
Its a clone of Dead or alive that they made for the Asian markets.
There are a number of other clones of Netent slots that they re-skinned with an Asian theme.

Edit: I said clone, but if that 8600x max win is accurate maybe the math is actually changed on it, i seem to recall that @brianmon has had a 10,000x+ win on Dead or alive.

Thanks for that info, see Video Slots has it at 96.82%

the Reactoonz games changed my entire outlook of big win expectations, which is why i play them so much, relatively cheap to grind but actually capable of dishing out the largest wins on the paytable.

playngo have continued this trend into newer games such as hammerfall, viking runecraft apocalypse gemix 2 etc.
