Ok so my online playing days are pretty much over, but back in the day I used to love playing high variance slots. All of which had you sitting by the seat of your pants.

How I play is I would always start with £1 bets and if I hit a bonus round and a decent one which produced close to or in excess of 100x, I would up my bet accordingly and go for gold LOL

Obviously I would have set an affordable loss limit in my head, but also I would have idea when I would hit the cash out button. Playing like this meant that many of my sessions I would come away empty handed. But there would be the odd occasion where I would cash out an amazing four or on a couple of occasions a superb 5 figure sum.

So what did I play. Back in the day, Playtech's Great Blue was brilliant and an always go to slot of mine. You could literally go hundreds upon hundreds of spins with out hitting the feature, but when you did and you hit 33 games with x8 multiplier, it was Happy Days invariably, wiping away the losses of your several previous sessions!

What did you or do you play?

Did anyone actually ever hit a multi-thousand-times-stake win on Great Blue? The pay tables and top symbols/wilds tempted you with some juicy 'potential' but who ever saw it?

I think that most of the No limit City games are super volatile since they have such high max wins. Try mental, fire in the hole or San Q base games. Im not even sure if you can get max wins from base games or just from the super bonus buys.

I have seen quite a few max win replays on Fire in the Hole 2 on a non buy 3 scatter trigger.

Hit a 3,000x base game win last night on it

I loved Gladiator by Playtech. Super volatile and if you got a bonus it was generally pretty good. An absolute nightmare to trigger though.

I have a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with Vampy Party at the moment. I normally go for 64x on a 0.20c stake but the annoying thing is I've had it loads and 8/10 times it ends up giving less than the original buy even before the gamble. Its one of the reasons I don't see the value in going for 256x, there is no point spending a fuckload of money gambling for it... only for it to give $30.
