The 2016/2017 football season predictor thread

Please go away and wash your mouth out with Carbolic soap.
I will have you know that my posts where purely football related.

You're right. I must have mis-interpreted your posts. I am ashamed of myself! :o:o:o

I am so embarrassed that I have distanced myself from your posts. See ^^^^^

That's really hurtful.

Much like Graeme Le Saux putting in a hard tackle from behind into Bender :(

In footballing terms

How come Vinnie was never subject to rumours? This was probably the beginning of Gazza's downfall :(

Vinnie - one love! One of my favorite film actors as well.
few hours to EPL start.. can't wait anymore

Gossip....
One of my mates was involved in the venue of a very posh wedding that he attended some years ago. My mate fleeced Vinnie and his mates of a lot of money when he joined them playing poker late in the evening. Then Vinnie ordered in some prostitutes as a nightcap.

Sounds like good ol' Vinnie got Wimble-done by your mate :(

Just only one day my friends, ONE day to start of this unbelievable season. "The Special oneS" managers - Konte, Pep, Bilic, Klopp , Jose, Ranieri, Pochettino... But there will be only one champion. Let's battle begin!

Well we are off and running and as predicted my lovable spurs drew with everton, cant wait for mousa dembelay to serve his ban could be a great season for us :D:D

congrats on eric lamela :notworthy for being the first spurs player to score on opening match day

COYS......

I'm surprised Tottenham has saved their squad for this season, but i don't believe in their success like last year.
Manchester United so crucial against Bournemouth.
Arsenal is ... Arsenal :)

Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick in game against Steaua ( and he even missed 2 penalties in the first half!)

United and City. No one else. I don't believe in Arsenal and Liverpool. Maybe Tottenham!? They have to play fantastically to do this.

Surely, no one. Newcastle just need to say goodbye mr. Rafa Benitez. :notworthy

Your having a laugh? Maybe you think that we should get Joe Kinnear back?

We still have some dead wood and those who think that they are too good to play in the championship before we have a proper settled team IMO

Chelsea, Man United and City with 9 points.. They are playing impressively this season..
P.S can't wait Sep 10, Manchester Derby will be hot

Agreed. They are all playing impressively. Palace seem to have found their level again but West Ham are not quite firing as well as I thought they would.
The last few days of the transfer window will probably be a none event.
And the Toon are joint 3rd now in the Championship after a very dodgy start :D

Bad news for you and your lovely team. Moussa Sissoko joined Tottenham. It is good deal for Spurs

I'm just chatting to a Spurs fan here as I type. He thinks its a good deal too for them. But Sissoko did not seem happy at the Toon for a few years now. Last season it was as if he didn't care but then played great for France in Euro's. Still,we only paid £1.2 mill for him so £28.8 profit is great business.
Harry Kane needed support as he seems knackered out already!

Sissoko wanted to go Real Madrid as i know. Anyway he can be special in Spurs midfield's centre.

Oh, i knew it. Manchester United vs. Manchester City in English football league cup.. Waiting for the revenge game from Reds

They will wheel out their big guns for this game even if it is just the fizzy pop cup. How long do you think before Rooney is out of the door of United? My guess will be January

The real question is: when was Rooney last an effective player? I'd say probably ten years ago, or at least before ol' red nose tried turning him into a combative midfielder in the vein of Keane or even Alan Smith.

He will go probably in the summer but god knows who'd have him, never mind afford his wages.

Not forgetting he's now a terrible midfielder and lost his touch as a striker!

Maybe we can have him on loan with a view to a permanent £2million move

Maybe he is struggling with motivation? I would stick him in the same mold as Micheal Owen who did feck all for the last 5 years of his career because he no longer really cares.

Rooney is the United's heart. He has been criticized in every year being in Manchester United.. anyway, i think he will find his best in the club..

Motivation? I don't think so, mate... You can see Rooney always leading the team, when they were losing in central matches,, in FA cup against CP, when he did pass before the goal.. In game against City he was the best (for me).. This quality we can see in Ander Herrera as well.

Motivation does not begin and end on the pitch. All players can show passion on the pitch.

Look it's one thing being a fervent supporter but it's another thing to be blinded!

It's ok to not love every Man U player and every facet of the club. Rose tinted glasses are great an' all but to the rest of the world Rooney is a has-been who lost his mojo years ago.

In fact I remember when he wanted to get out of MU when he wanted a new contract. Then he signed his 300k p/w and he turned into a one-legged donkey almost overnight.

I follow Newcastle but I don't pretend that everything Rafa does is genius or every player is Messi in disguise!

In fact half the squad should be shot for their surrender against Wolves to be honest :machinegu

I totally agree. Spud head has not been the same since he signed the new contract. As he was dropped at the weekend then I presume that Jose feels the same? He is not fast enough or in form enough to play forward and he just does not cut it as an effective midfielder in the Prem.
Maybe he is considering retiring and taking up boxing instead?

what do you think, who will win Champions League this year? I'm Real Madrid supporter for 15 years, but they are not at the best form...

I really fancy Man City winning it. They have the squad and manager to do it this year. But with their money I would not be surprised if PSG don''t get close
