Is it OK for a casino to change T&C's without player notification?

Do you think it OK for a Casino to change its T&C's without notifying the player?
 
I would vote "no" but then I see that there is a choice where "if they changed the spelling" I don't see anything wrong with changing a word they didn't spell right, why notify players of that?

I will wait for an answer before I vote.
 
I voted no, especially for the reason if a bonus is in play and the player understood the T&C's when initially taken and then the terms were changed, without the player being aware, this would be unfair practice.

If the T&C's are changed, then players do need to be notified, otherwise it takes on the appearance of a trap being deliberately set for players to legally not pay winnings.

Make it simple and streamlined and then leave it alone!!!

A player just wants to play, not have to study ever single bit of script first, every single time.

The T&C's sound be chiseled in stone and should always be the same.
Bonus - Amount to wager - Max, no max or sticky - Games allowed.
Plain and simple.

But if a casino insists on making changes, then you need to have a message or notification of such, to really be considered fair.

Well Rusty didn't give me an answer so I voted they way I thought was right...seems kind of strange or even ridiculous for a casino to send out a mass email (or add this under a bonus in the terms) that says....

Dear Bla bla,

We regret to inform you that we misspelled the word "playthrough" in a bonus we were offering. So for this error we are sending out hundreds/thousands of emails to our players just to let them know.

I do not see a choice I would vote on.

Whenever I do take a bonus, which isn't very often, I am one of those that read every single word of the promotion. I obviously do not think a bonus I am playing should be changed. :p

However, I really do not see a problem with people doing a little research on the "free money" they want to "borrow".

I do think casinos could make the regulations clearer and more concise, but, if one doesn't understand the rules, they should not deposit until they have done more checking, by live chat, or e-mail. I do not like phone conversations, there is no way to prove what was said on either side.

So Rusty, where do I fit in? :o
 
The way I understand this poll, correct me if I am wrong, is that a bonus is created, T&C's are attached to the bonus, player reads the T&C's and chooses the bonus they feel is right for them.

Then somewhere along the lines the T&C's are changed while players are still playing on the bonus that was taken on the original T&C's, unbeknownst to the player, thus causing a possible violation and confiscation for breaking casino rules.

T&C's should not be changed, as most players although read them, do not make copies of each one to prove they were playing a different T&C.

Then you have players posting complaints and other members assume they aren't reading the T&C's, but not taking into account that what the complaining poster read originally, is not what they are reading now, making the complaining player look like they are mistaken.

Once they are put out for public consumption, they should not be changed/altered in any way.

Had that been specified in the poll, then my vote also would have been no. But I didn't necessarily take it that way. I absolutely agree that T&C's for a specific promo should not be changed mid stream, period.....notification or not.

I based my answer on a promo that may be recurring ie. maybe runs once a month or something, and the casino changed the terms from one month to the next. If the terms are right there (in your face, no clicking links to get there or having to read a dozen pages or reams of legal mumbo jumbo)...then I would keep my answer as yes it's okay....no notification required. Long as the term(s) are changed prior to the start of the promo and easily available...okay with me.
 
My opinion is based on the thought that there are only complaints when a bonus T&C's are changed when a bonus is in play. Otherwise, there would be no problems.
