CompeonBet casino, bonus entrapment

Hi everyone, I would just like to warn against playing at CompeonBet.

Upon registration, I opted out of any kind of bonuses, free spins, etc., and yet they have secretly given me a 300 USD "player loyalty bonus". This was in the middle of my gameplay. I deposited here 3 or 4 times in total maybe 12 000 USD. During my last gameplay, I managed to get my balance up to 50 000. Then it was wiped while I was gaming. I asked support what is going on, they basically told me to f-off and to read T&C's. Which I did (even though they are incredibly long and confusing compared to other casinos). However, nowhere in these T&C's does it mention that opting out of bonuses means you will still get bonuses. And these loyalty bonuses come with perks, which include: no e-mail notification, no on-site notification, the bonus is hidden in your account and you only see it when you go to your account, it also comes with a strict max win cap.

Even if I didn't get the bonus, I know I'd never be able to withdraw. The limit is 1000 USD per day and only seven times per month. I would be trying to get the money for 10 months, while it's all sitting there in the account. But I don't believe anyone ever managed to withdraw from there.

I tried resolving the complaint through a competing (and crooked) website similar to this one. They asked the casino how did the bonus get into my account when I opted out. The casino then sent them unspecified proof via e-mail and the casino closed my complain as successfully solved while rejecting my request. You can see my complaint on that site yourself from 11/2024.

Okay, that was my warning and venting, thanks for listening :)

Casinomeister hosts the official Rogue Casino site - coining the phrase in the year 2000
Hi, hattrick!
It looks really suspicious, but maybe you received this bonus earlier and just didn't notice it?

Although this is a pretty good tactic for a casino to scam a customer, however, I don't think we have enough evidence to accuse the casino yet.

The company behind these sites, CW Marketing, are one of the worst out there. I'm sorry you ended up playing there without hearing that first. Hope you don't have to deal with another heavy loss like this again.

The fact they added it mid-play is ruthless, and I don't even doubt the story one bit based on their reputation. They confiscate frequently, delay most people and don't react to complaints. I'm pretty sure they used to be on a Curacao e-gaming licence (1668/JAZ, which was the worst one). Not sure if they ever hosted fake games, I think that might have been Mirage. They have a pending licence application with the new singular Curacao authority but unfortunately I don't think that will have any effect on their practices as much as some change would be nice.

Understood. I'm not expecting any kind of action from anyone, I'm merely sharing my experience for others to see. You can find out for yourself easily if you'll play there :)

Thanks for sharing that. It is all completely my fault, I trusted the "competitor" casino of the year award and thought that is good enough guarantee.

I wonder if they were much better 6 years ago, I wasn't in the space back then. That's the year of that award. I think the best approach is to check multiple sites, especially ones with a clear area for discourse about the casino. Getting thoughts and experiences from real people can cut straight to the truth. You do have to wade through astroturfed responses and idiots who think the casino is a scam because they had a bad run of luck.

There is a more recent award. I'm convinced it's actually made up and real players didn't vote for them. There are at least several trustworthy casinos with large fan bases and it's beyond believe players would put CampeonBet as the 3rd best.

A tough lesson to learn - as with most affiliate portals you have to be very careful because many of them will happily promote crap sites to make money. When it comes to awards, I've seen plenty of examples over the years where the list of winners corresponds with "who we want to work with" rather than any meaningful metric. That becomes particularly problematic when the casino is fraudulent (unlicensed, scamming people etc).

The withdrawal limits are a clear indication they don't want to pay out - and the phantom bonus is a trick of old Curacao to either lock the funds behind insane amounts of wagering, or now-a-days void it outright.

A portal claiming something is resolved when it clearly isn't is also pretty dirty, but when it comes to affiliate portals not much surprises me anymore.

Yes, that makes perfect sense to me, but only after losing the money. Could not see it before. Maybe I didn't want to. Well, lesson learned :D

Not suprising then that even this mahousive-lee ridicularse joke of a banned games list while using a bonus is deceiving.
At first, the eyes widen. The gulp shortly follows, as one begins to scroll. Then, the slight relief. The block of neverending text looks like it's actually in alphabetical order.

Since rarely is anybody's favourite game going to be Zorro, those looking to see if their desired game will void their bonus balance, miight very well not notice that once the list reaches Z it continues with more slots, but after Z, it's back to slots beginning with the letter A, then B, etc. Only a small extra selection, but coincidently a fair few well known names.

What a s***hole.

EDIT.

Imagine the big blank space above is a massive list of disallowed games while using a bonus.
It is there, I copied and pasted it, . It's, err, just a bit invisible for some reason.

EDIT

At first I thought you left blank space before your reply text, now I see I had to select it to make it visible. Yes, that list is long. But it's just a fraction of the lenght of their General Terms.

This is one of the reasons I don't play with a bonus. Sadly, it didn't help prevent issues with the casino.

Done me head in for a moment. Then realized it was because it's written in white on the website :D

I couldn't even write a review on Trustpilot, because AskGamblers is flagging all negative reviews as fake and Trustpilot just takes them all down, even if your account is ID-verified. It's absolutely disgusting that people cannot even share their 100% truthful experiences written in a polite and asertive, polite way. I'm disgusted by the internet every day... and touching grass doesn't help anymore, but this censhorship and scams have infiltrated our daily lives in every aspect.

Campeonbet was rogue from day one. One of the worst out there.
The fact they'll likely be approved by the new GCB doesn't bode well for any positive change to happen from the new revamped authority, hoped most 1668/JAZ sites would die with the CEG. Also licenced in Estonia which is a shame.

EDIT: just noticed the Estonian entry shares websites with Famogousta and LCS limited, might explain why those guys are so bad too if the same people are behind them.
