Swift Code

I called my bank today and asked them what the SWIFT code was ...they didn't know and said they didn't have one . Does anyone know if this is possible? I am not going to deposit again until I have that info so I can just withdraw to ECO rather than wait a month for an ACH. I may not have explained it well enough to my bank but there is only one way to say swift code . One lady said she asked the manager and I wasn't real big on drawing alot of attention to my account on this .Thanks in advance . :)

Silkprint, I had an earlier post that covered a bit on the swift codes and may be helpful.

Since we all seem to be having to do International Wire Transfers lately or attempting to at least I called my bank to get the SWIFT code for the transfer and they gave me the code but I also just wanted a little piece of mind so I looked around for a tool online to look up the code to see what it returned and I found the following resources which may come in handy for others on here that just want to check the SWIFT code or even do a search on their own bank before they end up calling.

For a quick search on the SWIFT code or Bank name

The above link uses the following search page which you can add more or less information to do a wider search.

I would still recommend calling your bank since they provided me with a different routing number than the one on my account and said it was the "International wire transfer" routing number. I hope this helps and I will let people know how my wire transfer goes from click2pay in a few days.

Yes they gave me a different routing number also for internationl wires . I gave that info to an affiliate manger for a payment and it was bounced back . I just read somewhere else that Massachusetts doesn't use swift codes . Boy , I am so happy the DOJ mad everything soooo much easier .

FYI - New Banking rules just went into effect in the UK.

If you live in the US, and you attempt to wire transfer funds from an online casino located in the UK to a US bank, the chances have drastically increased that your bank will now KNOW that the wire transfer is coming from an online casino and decline the transfer and then notify Homeland Security and the IRS of the attempted illegal transfer of funds.

In other words, watch your ass, they are starting to close the last hole.

I am US and my bank uses swift code

Bank of america

called my bank and they said I needed to provide sender swift code # which they gave me and it started with BOFand they gave me the iban # which is their wire transfer routing number, my name, my account number.

She said sender doesnt need the branch address as requested by Ecocard however she gave it to me anyway. It is the address where you bank the most.

Just call your banks customer service and they will give you all the info. you need to have someone send you an international wiretransfer.

I AGREE THAT WIRE TRANSFERS ARE DANGEROUS, I STILL HAVE NOT REQUESTED ONE AS THEY ARE EASY TO SCRUTINIZE.

ACH TRANSFERS ARE NOT CODED AND NO EASILY SCRUTINIZED THIS IS WHY I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE NOT USING ACH OVER WIRETRANSFER

Also, click2pay is in germany an uses the bank that OWNES them(click2pay is a subsidiary)

Hey there, I'm not sure if your replys answered your question but just to let you know, I also had a heck of a time with getting my banks swift code. I called 5 times and they kept giving me the transit and routing number too. Some banks call it the bic (bank identifier code) I finally called my head branch and got the right one. Not sure for the states but for canada it's called the bank identifier code.:)

Swift code is a European thang! You don't have one. If the casino tells you that you need the number then they're wrong. I went through this before. We have a routing number and an account number on our accounts. These.. along with the bank name and address is all that is needed.

I think I read your post wrong! YOUR bank wants the sender's swift code, you say! I don't know why they would need it to receive. Not necessary.

No, SWIFT is not a European thing (

). If it were, there would not be a problem with the US government tracking all SWIFT transaction, but unfortunately all SWIFT transactions are processed through the US. Not all banks are part of the SWIFT network, so your bank may or may not have a SWIFT code, and small local banks are less likely to have one.

Thank you all .
I had wanted to set up my Eco which I have had for a long time now thru my bank but I don't think I am going to . I also have an affiliate account that owes me money since January asking for the swift code so they can finally pay me . I have provided both my routing and account number numerous times and they also keep asking for my swift . This is getting crazy .

yes banks have swift codes aka B.I.C.

My Bank has a swift code. You have to call the manager of your bank, or the corporate office. If you do a search for your bank, in my case say "Community bank corporate office" there will be a listing. Yes international wires do need a Swift code also known as a BIC.

I went through that wayyy backkk when... now it's time for this dry spell to end.... <- wishful thinking :notworthy

Go to the bank manager and say "EXCUSE ME SIR IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO RECEIVE AN INTERNATIONAL WIRE AT YOUR FINE INSTITUTION?".

If he says "no", then go somewhere else.

If he says "yes", then respond with "THANK YOU SIR PLEASE GIVE ME THE NECESSARY INFORMATION TO RECEIVE THE AFOREMENTIONED INTERNATIONAL WIRE TRANSFER".

If one piece of the information doesn't say something like CITIUS33 or USBNK2 or PUPPIES420, then the manager is an idiot.

The manager says they don't have a swift code . LOL ...

They do... call the corporate office. (do you still have the literature and papers from when you opened the account? it may be listed in there. My banks "swift", or "bic" code starts with the first three letters of the bank name?) curious I wonder if you can look that up online.. If you want.. pm me and I will do the search for you) but they do have a code unless its a small time bank.

I totally agree!

LOL
I did give the affliate manager the first numbers the bank gave me which included a different routing number and another bank ...then they had themselves listed as beneficiary ..but
it was returned back so it must not have been right . I know Inetbet and Grand Bay always used to just pay me by ACH with no problem . Inetbet did a wire transfer with just my routing and account number .

Silk is correct.. (check your PM silk)... I did just hear from that specific bank and they are a small bank. Not a huge corporation... Believe it or not they do not have a swift code. Unfortunately silk I think if the info in the PM can not get it to that specific bank, you are probably going to have to open an account with a larger bank.
I thought all banks had a swift or bic number. They have a "wire transfer process" but not a SWIFT or BIC. I already searched all the data bases. and the bank verified it... "no swift or bic".........

Good luck silk I hope you get your money soon!

My bank doesn't have one, so I assumed it wasn't used here in the states.

That's cool! I'm wrong, you're right! This post would've been enough though! Instead, you thought it would be fun to give me negative reputation points along with a snide, condescending remark. There's one thing you forgot though! I don't give a flying f*ck about my reputation..... but I'll bet you do! :D ( what a bad boy I'm gonna be :D )

I have belonged to my little credit union for about 10 years . Even my direct deposit doesn't go in at midnight ..they do it manually in the morning .
Thanks for all the help . I really appreciate it .

Re

My credit union does not have a swift code. In order to cash out mney from eco , I had to open an account at another bank, that would give me a swift code. Worked like a charm.

ACH vs Swift etc

Hi All

Just to clarify a few things for you :

ACH is only available between US account holders. (e.g. Neteller used a US bank to perform their ACH transactions on their behalf)
Canadians can use ACH over EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) if their Bank is signed up for it with a partner bank in the US.
Casinos that used to pay via ACH did it through a partner in the US, who had a US bank account.

To send/receive an ACH, you only needed the ABA/routing Code & Account number.

Wire Transfers are a different kettle of fish, and there are a number of different methods :

1. SWIFT Transfers : banks have to sign up for this service. The SWIFT Code is the Bank Identifier on the SWIFT Network. Most NON US banks are members. A number of US banks (espcially the smaller ones) are not members, and wont have a SWIFT Code.
2. IBAN Transfer : Transfer between/to European bank Accounts only. Sender is required to provide the recipients SWIFT & IBAN Code. IBAN Stands for "International Bank Account Number", and is basically a combination of your SWIFT Code & Account number. Get this directly from your bank if you are in europe.
3. BACS/CHAPs transfer : Also European, mostly used by UK banks use it. Requires Local Bank Codes (e.g. Sort code).
4. Transfers through intermediary : Used when transferring to another country and SWIFT not available. Can be done to the US using local bank routing codes, but full bank details are needed (bank Name, brand address etc)

Any transfer from outside of the US into the US these days will usually require at least the following :

Bank Name
Branch Address
Account Number
Account Holders Name
Account Holders Address
SWIFT Code (If available)
ABA/Routing Code (if SWIFT not available)

Transfers normally take 2-4 days to clear internationally. Transfers made into the US using a local routing code can take up to 10 working days to clear.
Any transfer done using a SWIFT Code is sent through the SWIFT Network, and is traceable by both the senders & recipients banks, using a SWIFT trace. Senders Bank should also be able to produce a SWIFT Confirmation when they send the transfer (and usually charge between GBP20 & 50 for it).

Hope it helps

Hey c_note,
Thanks for clearing that up. It is a little confusing and I appreciate the clarification.

On another note, member for over 5 years and this is your second post.:what:
We have a lot to catch up on. I'll start. So how have you been? :)

Wel now..

Been here there and every where. I dont post unless I see something very wrong with the info being provided (and I stay out of personal fights). I am a lurker everywhere :)

Jinnia knows how to get hold of me, knows who I am and what I know, and available through PM of course.

Have a good one

I knew it was a matter of time, but I received a letter from my bank, Great Southern, about 3 weeks ago saying they were investigating my account (Bank card) for they thought it had been jeopardized, and had 3 options for me to choose from:

1. Close Account Immediately, I'll Contact My Bank
2. Close the account and send new card and pin number
3. Don't do anything

I checked #2 and sent back... still waiting for new card, takes about 30 days, while they 'continue' to investigate account. Used it at one place, gaming, and then had a couple of wire transfer into it from 2 different countries.

Hi c_note, good to see you post.

Your Bank Account

Hiya Jin (Aka The great cyber stalker :notworthy)

Was the note specific to your Bank Card, or your bank account. A couple of issuers around the world have recently been sending out similar letters, so it looks like another major acquirer has been hit..

At least your bank is being more proactive about it than just twiddling their thumbs till their customers get nailed..

Banks, Costing you time, Costing you Money, proof that crime does pay

Only YOUR cyber stalker :D

First letter was from my bank about my bankcard, since posting on this, I received a letter from Certegy, a check service, and it was about my checking account itself, had the last four numbers of my checking account in letter. I done a search on the company name, and found out why I received the mail about both.

xxx.bizjournals.com/tampabay/stories/2007/07/02/daily13.html?from_rss=1

My information was in the stolen database. So it had nothing to do with all my wire transfers into my account, nor my deposits into the one casino.
