huh....this is really interesting - back when Ray was playing at that one Playtech casino (which may be even related to this one) he'd occasionally get a little popup window that said "Congratulations, you've gotten a bonus of $.01!" and we always kinda laughed about it thinking it was a mistake or whatever - but it seems like this is the kind of trap it was.

This sounds like an issue with more than just Europa Playtech. I do think that Max and Casinomeister need to look into this seriously. I mean what's the use to a player of a 0.01c bonus? None whatsoever but it seems it is pretty darn useful to the casino

Most 'reputable' Playtech casinos don't do this. All the ones I play at ask every time when you deposit if you want the bonus associated with it. If you want the bonus you have to click the "I AGREE" button. And you can also exclude yourself from receiving bonuses at all.

A few years ago before he knew any better, Ray made a $20 deposit at a non-reputable Playtech casino, they gave him a whopping $2 bonus. He plays mostly progressive games, and this time he happened to win a bunch, played for a couple of days and was going to cash out $1500 and they said "oh you still have something like a $385 playthrough." Turns out they attached WR to the deposit + bonus, and surprise, none of his play on progressive games counted toward WR.

Hmmm I'm glad most ask for agreement before adding the bonus Chayton. Ray must have been really peeved! I know I would've been. I certainly wouldn't be agreeing to a 1c bonus . So this only occurs with a handful of Playtech. It's worth finding out and noting what sites do this as it can obviously effect withdrawals and should come with some sort of warning.

hi as far as im aware of playing at playtech casinos , this 1 penny thing happens alot , ive lost count to the times ive logged in & seen the 0.01 balance showing , first thing i do is waste the penny so the account is zero before i make any deposits , never seen it whilst i have made a deposit though , thats a new one on me , although its easy to spot when youve made your deposit , its a bit over the top to attach a penny to control you with wagering though , this is out of order , had the op just waited a while , im sure they would of paid out , ive had a cashout from there of 2k , got a little run around but still get paid , i closed my account there a while ago , due to then all of a sudden jumping the deposit rate from 20 pounds to minium of 200 pounds ( tatics placed for them to get there money back ) they asked to why i closed my account , i just pointed out that the casino had done this to get me to make larger deposits , without informing from e mail , i do feel sorry for the op though , but just a little more waiting would of got far better results .

For almost two years now. Just recently I won big but guess
What? Support asked me to send my IDs as well as copies ,front
And back of my Credit Card so they can "verify and update" my account for the
Third time.
Which was BULL,lol.
I have smarten up since I started playing online. The key is definitely PATIENCE.
Stop playing games until you receive your winnings b/c that's what their 4 day pending
withdrawal is for. Lose your balance and then cancel your pendin g withdrawal.

I did go "WTF" and almost lost my cool when they wanted to verify mmy acct again.

I have also experienced this 0.01c "bonus" appearing at random(?), as well as WR carrying over due to not zeroing out the balance after a bonus. Always at Playtech casinos.
They explained it as a "software glitch" and was sorry for the inconvenience etc.etc., but never forced me a WR if I asked them to remove a bonus I didn't want. I always got it sorted out with management, including Europe casino.

But this was 3-4 years ago...

Sometimes the history log clearly showed that a bonus was removed, but many times the operator just removed the amount, while the log still looked as if I got the bonus.
At the time, it was not so much of an issue because the casinos were not trying to cheat (at least not the ones I played at)
Nowadays it seems you have to be extremely careful.
