Hi Folks:

A classic gambler's dilemma!

I've won a $550 sure thing. Should I risk it for a chance to win up to $20,000 ... I could lose as much as $400. Check out my decision ...

nice win

it would depend for me how much i'd gambled already if i got a big win within 10/ 20 quid i'd take it strait away,

if i'd already done maybe 150/ 200 i'd spin for the big win no hesitation,

I would have spun, 110 guaranteed whatever you hit is pretty sweet. But on the other hand casinos don't get rich on giving you want you want, well done on cashing out.

Not familiar with the game, but if there`s no Lose All part of the wheel, I`d spin it.
Or maybe not.
Or maybe yes...
Thanks for the vid Shamus and well done.

I would have spun because ,when I visit B&M casinos, I go with my 'fun' money...so if I win, I win, if I lose, I lose and I am not out of pocket because it is money that I can afford....and had a good time, anyway.

Now, we will never know....but anyway, congrats on your luck!;)

(I just wish that I was actually there, and knocked your female companion's finger out of the way of the cash -out button and moved it to the 'spin' button...lol)

I cant see the whole wheel on the video, but it very much seems to me that the changes of winning more than he had was pretty high.
And the probability of winning less than 300 very low. I most definetely would have spin it.

I don't think you should take what you see on the wheel as a true representation of your winning chances. I'll bet any amount, that it's weighted, so that smaller prizes have a way bigger chance of hitting than the higher prizes, just like the wheel on the Moolah slots on MG or the wheel on NetEnts Mega Fortune

Dont think thats the case here considering that he would have needed to risk losing 500.
Beside it was very rare change to even have the change to spin it with so high amount of monopoly money.
I strongly doubt the situation was -ev if he had spun the wheel.

Yep I have to agree - I would have spun it.
I'm also not familiar with the game, but it does look like there was a good chance of getting SOMETHING back from the spin.
If it was only $20,000 or $0, that would be a different matter... :eek2:

Correct!

Hi LaHutti:

Since I have posted my video ... I have seen 3 people try it since ... two got 1x an one got 2x. My best (out of 30 tries) was 50x ... but it is highly unlikely.

I was pretty happy with this win!

I'll try next time. :) Oh ... and I did try in a previous video, and got 1x! :)

PS- You are correct -- the wheel is weighted.
