This is Lindon Martin, your personal customer service representative from Sunsetsports. I was looking into your account ****** and I noticed that your account is inactive. I am a little concerned because I am not sure why you are not playing with our Sportsbook and Casino. Whatever the reason is, please let me know and I will resolve the problem for you.

On your next deposit I will give you a 30% cash bonus for the Sportsbook or a 200% cash bonus for the casino. Go to the website www.sunsetsports.com log in with your account number ******* and make your deposit.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact me so I can take care of them for you.

i sent them an email saying my problem is you bothering me, if i wanted to play a sportsbook i would go deposit at it you are not going to suddenly convince me to making me want to play there.

has anyone else been having this problem

Yes, and after 3 months, countless reports to the FTC and reminding them that the CAN-SPAM laws in the USA provide for up to a $11,000 fine per instance, I was finally removed. Michael @ Sunset was my contact. I seriously doubt that they're under new Mgmt. I believe they are rated a D- at sportsbookreview.

Anyways, live chat won't help, opening trouble tickets won't help (I reopened the same trouble ticket at least 20 times during this fiasco), as they will either lie to you - saying you're removed - or just simply close the ticket.

I don't know where "Home" is, but if you're in the USA, I would strongly suggest replying to michael@sunsetsports.com asking to be removed IMMEDIATELY. If you do, be sure to CC the FTC's spam complaint center (include full headers) at uce@ftc.gov , and remind him of the CAN-SPAM laws.

Wouldn't hurt to check out SBR too. Maybe they have some more contact info.

Just so you know, they legally have 10 working days to remove your email address from their *spam* list. If you're on the DNC list (again assuming you're in the USA), report them to www.donotcall.gov ;) That's another $10,000+ fine per instance after you tell them not to contact you.

Things have changed recently.........I guess the wrong spammers pissed off the right people!

I have been getting these emails also, but with a slightly different slant. In my case, they suggest that I have left unused funds in my sportsbook account and they are concerned I have forgotten to use them. Funny, I don't recall EVER opening an account with them!

lol...yep. I usually don't get pissed off because of spam, but they sort of pushed my buttons. I hate being lied to and given the runaround. ;) and yes, you have every right to report any piece of spam to the FTC....if you live in the usa that is.

On a sidenote, what was even funnier with sunsetsports is the fact that about 30% of the spam was trying to get me to promote them through their affiliate program!!! lol

God, we have some of the lowest of the low in this industry. This sort of fraudulent spamming nonsense should warn everyone off this operation!
