Stupid infomercials

I thought I'd seen most of the stupid inventions they flog on tv but found a couple today that just cracked me up.

First up, for the men - a golf club you can pee into. I wonder what they'll come up with for lady golfers.

And here's one for the ladies. You know that uncomfortable feeling you get when your boobies touch each other at night? Well, tada....here's a product for you! Although it looks a little....erm. Maybe it would be ok if you just got implants or something, but did they need to make it that fleshy color?

I know huh? Some smart lady is gonna come up with a combo tool - by day it's a pee stick for the old man to 'discreetly' (hah...like nobody could tell what he's doing) tinkle into and at night after a wash, tuck it in the cleavage to keep the girls from fighting all night.

Oh and by the way, I bet most of us girls could find someone willing to tuck something between our boobies for free!

I was only talking to someone yesterday about stupid ads, so it is quite poinient that I find a post about some rediculous ads on CM today

One of my favourite ads when I visited the US was Dog Steps (to help your pooch get on the the sofa or bed), it was usually followed by an ad for Urine Away (a spray for removing urine stains on carpets and furniture). The two seemed to work well toghether!

Actually, doggie steps (or kitty steps) are quite nice for aging or injured pets. My old cat can't jump very high anymore, so we have an old trunk at the foot of the bed so she can get up on the bed as when she pleases without us having to be around to lift her. And I have kitty steps near her favorite window....

A friend bought doggie steps for his weiner dogs (dachshunds) because one had already had back surgery and wanted to prevent future spine injury in the younger doggies and help out the injured dog.

But anyway... infomercials make me nuts.....hate them with a passion, and always wonder, who the hell buys this stuff???

Not really, you don't often see golfers drape a towel over their hands and top of the club when lining up a shot. If anything, the towel makes it MORE obvious, rather than discrete.

Besides, a bush was fine for the future King of England when he was a kid, so it should be just fine for a golfer.

We're actually in that boat now, Jake's not able to get into the back of the Jeep anymore. Sad to think of my buddy getting old. We were looking at some ramps online, but they're bloody expensive, I think I'm just going to get Ray to build one.
