Strange behaviour of Magic Portals Net/Ent

This is NOT a complaint, it´s questions and info.

I was playing at Unibet the other day, when my money was almost gone I had received 10 free rounds on Magic Portal through their new loyalty program.

When 10 free rounds where finished I had won 11 SEK.

Accidentally I hit spin again in the free rounds window. Then I saw that it looked like an ordinary spin which was no win on, still it looked like the last spin from free rounds.
I continued and after a few spins this came:

unibet2.jpg

It was clearly the free rounds window, and it had taken the money from the 11 SEK accumulated from free rounds. I didn’t care at the moment, I went to bed.

Today, I went back to see my play logs:

unibet3.jpg

I have 0,67 SEK remaining and only ONE spin on Magic Portals is seen, - 1,17 SEK
What happened? Did I spin on the free rounds server?
Could I win on these last spins of my remaining 11 SEK?
If this is possible, how about that poor player (finnish?) who a couple of months ago "won" in real play and there is no evidence? To add: I looked it up and it t wasn't NetEnt: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/casino-software-issue-at-maxino-com.54139/

I will let Unibet rep know about this thread now and give them my user name to see what they can see from their end.

Hello Maphesto,

Thanks for flagging this.

We have found that this is a visual issue in the account history since it does not show your spins that were purely funded by the bonus money made from free-spins. Your 1.71 SEK bet was a spin that was partially funded by real money and the remainder was bonus money, hence the transaction in the account history looked like that.

We are working on fixing this asap and we will also send you more information of this to your email.

Kind regards,
Sue

Thanks!

I can confirm that Unibet sent me a file where all my spins is seen and it's exactly as explained above from rep.

Now we only have the strange glitch where these spins continued in the free rounds box. Before this issue I think we knew that NetEnt have separate servers for free play, free rounds and real money play.

Which server was used this time? Maybe that was a glitch too? Then it was two different glitches at the same time.

Hello Maphesto,

Free spins/rounds are on the same server as real money play, it might be a different setup depending on the operator but can't say for sure.

When playing free spins and after completing them you should have received a pop-up saying something along the lines "your free rounds are over and that you will now be playing with your real money". It does seem like that never appeared on your screen so we have brought this up with Netent to be investigated further.

Will keep you posted on the findings via email :)

Kind regards,
Sue

If it really is the same server, the game would remember collected items you could think. I happened to write about this last year about Unibet NetEnt slot Dallas:

At Unibet, they gave away freespins on the game Dallas on wednesdays earlier this year and it remembered my collected bonus dollars. I had collected bonus dollars there but they were just seen when I had freespins on the game. Now, I have collected bonus dollars on a game I probably never can reach again...

Thanks for this, there was no indication whatsoever about ended free rounds. Exactly the same window was open.

Players need to watch their balances at Netent. I was damn sure I had a balance of 15 when I left the Carribean Stud game at Nordic 777 but it suddenly became 12. Then at Baccarat I left the game with a balance of 30 but when I switched to the next game it became 27. It seems to have a habit of subtracting 3 from your balance lol.

I haven't heard more from Unibet about this, they told me that It could take time.

A couple of days ago this happened at BGO aswell, this time on Starburst. When the free rounds were finished, I had won 2.47£. No sign about free rounds is over showed. I continued to see what happened. As you can see, I played it down to 3 coins.

It's also very clear that it's the free rounds window, I can't change bet level. I could change lines. You can see this on the screenshot, it's a brighter green color on the buttons you can click on.

Did all these strange events occur using the same browser?
Just wondering if you have some sort of "pop-up blocker" which is preventing the "End of free play" box appearing.
Just a thought -I've no technical knowledge about his to bring to the table!

Yes, I've provided info about my Chrome and Flash versions to Unibet and I think they sent it to NetEnt.

The pop-up appears at other casinos and it appears at Unibet after the "magic portals" incident as well. But the pop-up itself can't be the real issue here, the issue have to be that I can continue my play with "wrong" window.

Interesting side note, and i can confirm exactly that happened to me as well, two times in the same session to be precise.
It was resolved in a satisfactory manner in my case, yet a real explanation was not given.
I figured it was a freak occurence, but if this happened to you too then it might be a very good idea to keep your eye on the balance...
