Well using their logic they should close online casinos from 00:00-23:59 daily really, as problem gamblers will play ANY chance and ANY time they got funds, and UKGC seem to be more than happy to accommodate the small minority of problem players and stuff it all up for everyone else!

Changing rules, banning auto play, banning bonus buys etc has no real impact on a problem player, if a player is in a situation where they find those things a temptation or cant control themselves then they should not even be playing at all. The only solution for problem players is to not play Full stop.

So for the vast majority of players that are in control of their spending we have lost many things that were actually good tools to use, auto play was easier to keep track of plays and losses, feature buys were a great way of playing my budget within a better time frame rather than wasting hours getting features that I might not even get and spending the same amount anyway.

Further proof of not only the UKGC's not serving to make gambling safer for anyone, but those in the industry left floundering as to how to apply these directives, using vague statistics that they've seemingly plucked out of the sky.

I'd really like to know how the conclusion was drawn that pRoBlEm gAmBleRs operate chiefly in the early hours, when I'd imagine the majority of gamblers do so, whether it be through a fated lucky session, or based on the fact that making conquistadors dance during office hours is generally frowned upon, and may even lead to the ol' P45 perched on one's desk upon returning from a piss break

Found this a tad amusing for a number of reasons: the PP honcho having a moral crisis (after selling?) or the fact they're saying the casino's have been lobbying politicians (not a very good job if they have been)

What the politicians got is a bit odd - hardly enough to fill some of the envelopes (Patel is worth every bit of her pitiful 3k though)

Nice to see the casinos being screwed though - handing over the odd barclaycard limit increase here and there and getting hit by more compliance costs etc.

Is an odd industry to say the least - imagine rolling into another industry and saying: hey boss, i've reduced the revenue from our biggest customer by 50% plus per cent, can i have a pat on the head?

Thought it was a bit unfair to compare casinos to big Pharma peddling products - the high from oxy lasts longer and is more satisfying.
