Resolved Source of Wealth requested after withdrawal

Not going to name the casino at the moment, but I recently made a withdrawal from a casino (not much less than £500) and received an email 4 days later asking for KYC and SOW documents.
I had previously verified my account and had also made withdrawals over the last 3 years. It's not an account I use on a regular basis and my lifetime deposits are approximately £1000 so it seems weird that any of this would trigger an SOW check, furthermore am I right in thinking they've had more than enough time to perform this check and are deliberately using this as a way to stall paying out.

They want fully unredacted documents, which I am not willing to provide. As it is a site I don't use regularly, I'm not bothered if it is closed. How should I approach them in order to get my mediocore winnings?

Just say you dont want to provide the documents, request the fund to be back to your account and close the account. I did the same with Leovegas

That's what I thought - I know someone posted part of the UKGC terms regarding this ages ago hoping someone could chime in with a link to it as couldn't find it.

Why not name the casino? If so, people can maybe chime in with their experience of them Are they accredited here? - ping the rep a message.

There's a part of the LCCP that talks of not delaying withdrawals with document requests that could 'reasonably have been requested earlier' - the word reasonably gives a nice subjective leeway :p

Any casino requesting SOW etc with 1k of deposits, been there 3 years probably needs a new legal department.

ive been playing online for about 5 years, ive never sent SOW/SOF to any casino and i wont do,just say you not prepared to send SOW/SOF they will have to pay you in the end

Maybe its cause I have never won a lot but never been asked for a SOW. Is it only done with large wins?
Not in my experience. I got an SOW request before when trying to deposit at one place that I hadn't used for a while. They wanted my last 3 months of bank statements showing deposits to them to prove I could afford to play. As I hadn't played, they were essentially asking me to show I could afford the £0 I deposited!!!! They didn't even budge from this when pointing this out

Been resolved now. Turns out they didn't want SOW just KYC and a statement of how I fund my account (Job title / Wages) no intrusive financial docs
