So it begins, casinos and affiliates and COVID-19

Whats that thing thats trying to crawl into the mashed potatoes?
Not the greens, the breadpiecakethingy
Good god, this fascination with honey needs to stop.
It’s a british staple of fine cuisine, well not fine..
A Yorkshire pudding, granted with a pie is to be frowned at, that said I’m changing the game with ‘fusion cooking’ at the moment.
I’m not particularly bothered with loads of rice, pasta and sauces like the stockpiling dumb dumbs buy.
I’m more meat and veg and decent food.
Bless the jobless single mothers however whom scan Facebook on how to live, I’ll go my own way via common sense and ‘good ole streamer hating’ this virus is a breeze.

Never tried, but after a quick look at wikipedia to see what it contains i might just have to try it some day.
Also, wheres the sauce/gravy?

It wasn't all that bad to be honest.

No different to what that accredited casino sent to me via email today.

What you got to say about that?

As I haven't seen either I can't really comment, it says the video was removed as it breached youtube's standards, I was wondering why if it was just a normal slot video. Plus some comments I have read on a couple of other places say this video wasn't bad anyway.

Anyone who uses the virus as a marketing tool is scum though in my view, casino, affiliate or anyone. No different to the scum who are selling hand wash or toilet rolls on ebay for 10 x the normal price. People are dying and others are shit scared for themselves and family.

Well i did watch the video because in the title he said about some announcement in the end never been a Bonanza fan so
And that was about him putting out less videos cause misses working at home apart from being a new casino he was playing at and giving out a lil decription about it i really didnt notice him promoting it anymore or less then other casinos

I hadn’t put it on mate, I used the mustard and mint sauce in shot to make it.
I always have gravy, a must for any meal with veg and pie

FFS! Not again! I played a small video session on LVBet. I then offered up some gen about the state of the industry when I had finished playing, mentioning the effect that it was having on bookies' high street operations due to lack of racing/FOBT activity but that online turnover was apparently increasing (as we heard from Jan L&L for example) due to the fact people are staying at home and possibly have funds to play that they would normally spend say going out etc.
I recommended verbally (no direct links!) LVBet at the end of the video, as I did at the start of the last one when I played there. The two matters were not connected. My 'crime' here seems to have been verbally recommending a site (which I often do, have done for years) and doing this in the same video where I mention the possible effects of CV for players and the industry.

FTR there is a new policy in place at YT now due to CV as well - as most of their 'reviewers' for reports etc. are in the Philippines and staff are off, they will remove reported content summarily but due to the fact appeals can't be considered in the normal timescale, will not issue strikes unless it's pretty bad. This appears to be what happened here. The video's gone and no strike.

Most YT'ers and all streamers will get these anti-affiliate or gambling trolls, it's nothing unusual. The way this person represents the video, is as if I said "Hey! Got CV? Not going out? In self isolation? Spend the extra cash here at xxx casino!!" I didn't and never would.

guy in the video looks like a angry farmer who wants his cow back
Well, OK - I'll hold my hands up to that one. The supermarkets were cleared of beef and we needed some stocks for our freezer.....

I watched the vid.

Was usual Dazza tbf. Only difference being that there wasn’t his usual spawn or some bonus after 8 deposits that bailed him out of the shit and ended up giving him a small profit!!

Yes promotion of the casino but no more than his usual musings. No there wasn’t any action feature wise etc but tbf our Dazza does post up sessions where not much happens so I don’t really see that this is any different.

I also know the bloke who posted the vid. He’s a decent and reasonable chap tbf.

Well done to White Hat Gaming for nipping this type of thing in the bud

We hope that this email finds you well.

It has come to our attention that a small number of affiliates are attempting to turn the current COVID-19 epidemic into a marketing strategy.

Net Gaming Solutions would like to make it clear that we strictly prohibit any marketing strategy of any kind that relates to the epidemic in relation to our brands. Any affiliate that is found in breach of this will have their account(s) suspended with immediate effect.

We hope that you understand our stance on this given the difficult circumstances. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact your affiliate manager

I think it's important to differentiate between "these anti-affiliate or gambling trolls" and someone expressing an opinion. I am not 'anti-affiliate' (I know and speak to a number of gamblers and affiliates) and I have never reported a gambling video or attempted to get any video removed from YouTube (including the video in question which I didn't even dislike). There's a good chance the policy violation was because you mentioned the virus (I guess youtube is trying to stop false information or people capitalising on the situation).

I am not "anti-gambling" either. I am a (recovering) gambling addict but, again, would never suggest it should be banned (although certainly parts of the industry could use better regulation). I used to enjoy gambling, including playing at online casinos but had to stop as I was unable to control it. I have made videos previously talking about gambling affiliation and have never, once, criticised any individual.

Generally the aim of my videos is to share my experiences of gambling and recovery with a view to helping anyone in a similar situation. I still watch gambling videos/streams myself and have a number of friends who gamble, I just don't participate myself.

I understand that an affiliates job is to drive traffic to the casinos (via their own site) and acknowledge that (whilst some may question the morals of this) that it is a legitimate and legal source of income.

My specific grievance with this video was that it was clearly made with a purpose. It seemed hastily cobbled together, any notion of 'content' or entertainment for your viewers was a hugely distant second to the need to put out SOMETHING in order to promote your own site at a potentially lucrative point in time. Whilst you didn't encourage people to 'stay indoors and play at LV', you promoted the site a lot in the video and then clearly revealed your motivation for doing so (possibly inadvertently) at the end.

You mention that you 'never directly linked' LV in the video, I suspect this is more because videos with affiliate links will now be removed rather than any desire to protect your audience.

As I say, I didn't report your video or make any effort to get it removed. I made a video myself previously about the danger boredom would pose to problem gamblers during this time and felt that you said the opposite. I made a video encouraging people to ensure they had blocks in place (if they needed them). Yours did quite the opposite (which I understand from a commercial perspective) whilst giving nothing back to the viewer in terms of entertainment value (this isn't a criticism of your content generally, just this particular video had little play and none of the personality that some of your viewers obviously tune in for).

It's worth noting that I have nothing to gain from this situation. I don't have anything to sell and have a non-monetised YouTube channel, the only purpose of which is to try and help those with gambling problems.

I hope you understand my viewpoint.

Phil

P.S - I possibly do look like an angry farmer!

Just wondering if obese monks and his mentally retarded divvy will be still aloud to produce ‘content’ for ‘fans’ in this current climate?...
Social distancing is important and to flaunt it isn’t good form.
Be terrible if someone had to get such irresponsible behaviour stopped before they realised it’s almost law. just like a no named fatty using a child to push links had said child cancelled.
I mean ethics and morals would be nice, sadly doesn’t appeal to all .
Not mentioning any names here of course, just wondering opinion on the matter in question.

It's shit like this that gets you infractions; use your big boy words please minus the vitriol and insults.

I’ll take a look!!

Ok so far and of course doing my best to stay safe. It’s a shame a lot aren’t.
Nutnut has lost the plot. Called Boris the legend bad things and even said I cook ‘burned food’
The world has indeed gone mad mate.

Don't want to sound patronising but I really like Dunovers Bonanza vids, I find the emotions on show, mostly anger, frustration and disappointment, very entertaining, I love the inevitable predictions "Last spin no win,... Oh it did!" etc, I guess he's not for everyone, but that's fine, no one is forced to watch. Oddly enough, the only other gambler I enjoy watching is Hypalinx who in many ways is the polar opposite of Dunover, very laid back, and normally at some level of inebriation while playing :)
