slots not working well in new laptop ....

Hi Friends

i bought a new lap 3 days ago and was trying slots in web version .. but there is a noticable lag in spins

and cal feel the symbol drag in reel

its an ok machine... core i3 4 gb ram graphics OS is windows 8 pro

i updated flash player didnt install anything else

my desktop have same configuration and im using same connection and its worki8ng well on desktop


so techies any advice

If its a new laptop I would first off manually install all updates, this is always happening in the back ground otherwise with windows 8 and this can cause a strain on the system. There is usually over 75+ updates when a person buys a new laptop. Check if windows 8.1 is the current version now also if its not, update it.

Flash player is integrated into windows 8 /internet explorer so it does not need to be installed, it will be part of windows updates.
Doing the updates will also make sure your video driver is up-to-date also.

What antivirus was pre-installed? windows 8.1 has windows defender built in, and being a computer tech I think all added virus protection is a laptop hog and every computer I get from people infected with malware etc has these "antivirus" programs installed so really why are you paying for them and then paying me. Defender works fine on my systems at home and work and its free.

Same thing with me when I got this laptop, I was very sad as my last laptop worked fine with slots. If you look at the clubworld connection thread in online casino section you see some talk about this.

I do believe it has to do with crappy windows 8 for what exact reason I don't know, At first I was able to just open a web browser like chrome and keep it open while you play and that worked for a period of time now like I said in the above mentioned thread I have to run windows update and keep that screen open for the reels to spin at a "normal" speed.

can you tell me how to check the updates

i have purchased an antivirus but the slots are working the same way before and after installation

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap*Settings, and then tap*Change PC settings.*
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click*Settings, and then click*Change PC settings.)

Tap or click*Update and recovery, and then tap or click*Windows Update.

Tap or click*Check now.

If updates are found, tap or click*View details.

Then install them

Should also mention windows 8 live tiles are constantly updating using your bandwidth also so if there is ones you don't use turn them off by right clicking them.

i think they are also bundled with windows 8 ?

Are you using a browser from desktop of windows or from start screen? (Tiles) java is only supported from the desktop.

You can manually download it but check control panel first or search your system to see if it's installed already.
without knowing your complete system details, programs etc. It's hard to narrow issues down. You could also do the old control alt delete combo and go in the task menu and see if something is hitting your memory use hard etc.

I use windows 8.1 with redbet, 32red, casinoluck etc. On Internet Explorer and no issues. ..but my laptop is a $2300 gaming system so it better lol.

Also look at disabling browser add-ons that you don't need...

Another option is to have a browser dedicated to your slots, e.g. use Chrome exclusively for online casinos and IE/Firefox for all other work ...... or whatever suits you
