Slot music - love it hate it

Being a professional musician, I tend to analyse everything I listen to in quite a lot of detail.
What are your love it/hate it music choices for slots? It could be the general background music, or particular riffs for big wins/bonus rounds etc.

Personally, if somebody shut me in a room overnight and made me listen to a slot soundtrack constantly on repeat then Wolf Cub would absolutely do my nut in. It's the cheesiest, most sugar coated melody in the world that most 16 year old music exam students might only scrape an average mark for composing.

It goes without saying that Bonanza would be on most peoples hit list - imagine having that channeled through a pair of headphones 25 percent louder than is comfortable to your ears. You have a form of torture right there.

Good stuff - the chiiled ambient background track of Immortal Romance when you're not in a bonus round and of course kudos to the effort gone into the bonus rounds individual tracks.

I really like Hong Kong Towers bonus round music. That gets piped through my speakers to the max. It really helps get the adrenaline flowing with the cliffhanger-esque character it portrays.

Be careful with Bonuses!
It is  crucial  that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of any bonus that you accept. Most of the complaints that come through our arbitration service are bonus related; it would be safe to say that there are tens of thousands of players who have never complained because they realized after the fact that they did not understand or had never read the terms. Nothing in a casino is free – so whenever you see “free” being used, there are stipulations. It is important for you to understand that.

Please check out our Bonus Section that lists the offers given by our Accredited Casinos. No deposit bonuses, welcome bonuses (AKA sign up bonuses [SUBs]), exclusive bonuses, reload bonuses, free spin bonuses...all this and more!
Loads of hates - but lets not dwell on those in this season of good cheer! ;)

A few favourites:
Tomb Raider 2 - Secret of the Sword (MG) - always on max volume!
The Finer Reels of Life (MG) - very relaxing.
Danger High Voltage - love a bit of rock!

Weird! Pretty much 3 of the 5 I was going to mention, the others being GnR and Motorhead!

Okay I must admit I mute most sounds on slots when I play them as the music does annoy me especially on Bonanza. I rather like the music on Planet of The Apes and love Immortal Romance. I also like the music for Thunderstruck II. Of course Game of Thrones music is great but that goes without saying. I also like the music of Burning Desire and think maybe they used the same singer for the IM songs not sure but the voice sounds very similar.

I hate all the childish background noises and music on most slots Wolf Cub as the op states comes to mind. I really think slot providers have put much less effort into the music of slots in the last few years and it shows.

Danger HV makes excellent use of an already funny song, so that's a bit of a masterstroke.

Immortal Romance is the obvious one for most people, and that's a pretty decent original set of songs for just a slot. I do like the Rhyming Reels 'jingles', though simplistic they tend not to grate as much as say, Bonanza. Even Sweet Harvest is less irritating than 'that' game

Guns n Roses is good, but that's cheating  There are dozens of good music pieces to be found, I think MG generally put more effort into their actual compositions.

Overall though, it's more about the sound effects of a slot. I have the memories of NYX's Batman slot embedded as it takes me right back to the beginning of my slotting. Same as the DOA bonus 'ditty' or Creature from the Black Lagoon audio clips from the film.

I think most would recall the 'big win' sound from MG more easily than say the music from Thunderstruck II, simply because those sfx are seared into our 'happy' memories

Gonna go with a controversial one

Emoji Plantet!!! The slot can suck ass
but i love the groovy music and how it builds if you get a good run going (which is seldom)
Glow another Netent has really nice music. The old WMS big win music is really fun and exciting (third stage INCREDIBLE!! UNBELIEVABLE!!)
Zoom is another slot with music worth mentioning, a load of guys humming its quite an earworm
There are lots to be honest, but MG Thunderkick and Netent all get top marks

I usually mute, as I am watching something while spinning, worst part is when the music defaults back to on with an intro and you blast your eardrums, as the volume is maxed.

Neon Staxx

It must be a subconscious thing due to growing up in the eighties. Neon Staxx is the only slot where I do not mute (well, besides Guns and Roses).
The music on Neon Staxx is nothing astonishing but somehow it gets to me. :)

I usually don't listen to the slot music, mostly because I play at work. That said, I have played slots with the music on and never found something I particularly liked until Netent released a crappy slot game whose music was right up my alley - Wild Water!
I'm a guitarist and Surf Music from the 60's is my favorite, so when I heard Wild Water's soundtrack I can immidiately identify it as a surf guitar riff.
I don't like the game though so never play it

Most slot soundtracks are the usual noise we have known for decades, then you have quite some terribly annoying but there are a few which stand out.

DJ Wild - Elk Studios: Specially composed by a famous Swedish DJ, I could listen to it all day, especially when the Wilds start to hit.
Grim Muerto - Listen to the part after a win larger than the bet. Just love that soundtrack
Immortal Romance - Wild Desire soundtrack

That's about it.

Seems I am not alone with Immortal Romance, especially the wild desire :)

One slot's music I absolutely love but should really hate is Wild Antics, love that cheesy backing tune.

Thunderstruck - Sound of Lightning Bolts always get the juices flowing
The worst is Wizard of Gems - The creepy sound bytes of the wizard make me cringe

TS2... Just like the medieval soothing music on it.

For me it has to be IR and TS2 - Like Goatee mentioned, it would seem MG spends a bit of time with their compositions.

I also like the retro theme with Neon Staxx.

I would assume you also like the intro to the Netflix series 'Stranger Things'
