Whilst playing on sky poker in 1 of there bounty hunter games, i was in a hand with 4 others, i had 3 of them covered with my stack and after the turn we are all all in, well the river comes and makes me a full house, great im thinking 3 heads and a large stack of chips, until the screen goes funny like as if i was being moved to another table and i then see ive got less chips than i started the hand with, firstly i thought i had miss read someones hand and hadnt won, so i look at the hand history to find out to my suprise the hand had been voided, i contacted there live help who looked at the hand history and said they cant see why it happened but they would get it investigated.
the following evening a lady rings me to say they are refunding my buyin and the value of the 3 heads and roughly another £6 to compensate me for what had happened, i was not very happy but she said thats all we are prepared to do, when i asked why this was voided she said we dont no we think it was a blip in our system and our specialist poker team will investigate and get back to me, i had several emails over the next week as id heard nothing and thought what they had offered me was a joke all they said was we are investigating still, and as i write this over 3 weeks have passed and still ive had no explaination, and they havnt even bothered to answer my last email from over a week ago.
I am shocked to no that these large poker sites can have BLIPS in there system, ive been playing online poker for many years and have never heard anything like it, and i feel very let down that still they have given me no reasonable explaination or compensation.
Any ideas on what i can do next ?
And to any sky poker customers or potential customers beware this could happen to you and they will do very little for you.

Join the queue:rolleyes:

This is the SECOND time SKY have been involved in cancelling play without explanation. The first was MAJOR. They voided 2 days of play on their new slot game "Treasure Ireland", and clawed back winnings from players, even when these were in the players' bank accounts. They then threatened others with legal action when they could not recover the money from their banks. They said it was a "major technical glitch". Now their POKER software is shown to be just as unreliable, and they have voided an in-play hand without explanation, and what makes it worse is they tried to cover it up by making players' "screen flicker" and put them on different tables with different hands and stacks. They then say they don't even know why they did this. Either they are lying, or the software is so unreliable that it is liable to randomly "glitch" and void hands for "no reason".

One has to wonder what else their software has in store for players.

If a hand is voided in a land casino, there would be hell to pay unless a damn good reason for it could be demonstrated, not just to the players either, the regulator might want to look into it.

It's almost like the wild west, where hands could be voided by drawing one's gun faster than the other players.

Who is the regulator of online poker as i would be interested to contact them. I am so annoyed with what happened and how sky have deemed to deal with it, like i say they wont even answer my emails now, i have also posted on there own fan page on facebook and they didnt even comment back.
I think its disgraceful things like this can happen, i would have thought there software would be infalable.

Fortunatly i printed off a copy of the hand history, so they cany even deny it happened.

Try PM`ing this guy........Eliot Jacobson.

Good luck ;).

great thanks ive pm ed him.

It's out of his field. He knows the maths, and will bust a cheating game, but this is a voided game. The best he could offer would be an analysis of the hand histories to see if there might be a reason for SKY voiding this hand, such as a misdeal.

What you need is a software developer, who might be able to comment on how this might happen, and whether it could have been caught by proper error trapping in the software rather than have players faced with an illogical voiding of a hand.

"Treasure Island".

Treasure Ireland is a different game.....

OOPs:oops:

Treasure Ireland only got yanked from most Viper casinos, no winnings were voided:)

Too many games with the same, or similar, name floating around.

I won't thank you for exposing that I am not infallible, although I see Nifty just couldn't resist:)
