Sites taking US players

Hi all, I have lately been wondering about sites taking US players. Obviously, as we all know, it's quite illegal to take money and offer casino games to US players and a lot of companies (the majority) do not want to risk Team America World Police come knockin' on their door. Personally I never play on a site which takes US players. It just feels a bit too risky.

Anyway, my question is, does anyone who is not from the US (or any country which is blocked by most casino) ever play regularly on a site which takes American players? By regularly I don't mean testing the site sometimes for a good bonus or so, I mean if it's your home away from home so to speak.

Also, if you are from the US, would you keep playing on these sites if it was legal to play on any site?

As a U.S. player, I'd LOVE to play on other sites. I feel really limited because depositing on even sites that accept U.S. players is difficult! I found one that's accredited and allows me to depost with Paste and Pay. But, after blowing $200 with no results, I've decided to "lay low" for awhile. Why does our country think they have to babysit us? I used to play on another site and was able to deposit with EWallet, but they don't use that option anymore. I actually won on that site, but seems like a good thing always goes away for us U.S. players!!! I'm sure some of the more experienced players know some loopholes, but I'm pretty cautious!

Yes, I play at quite a few casinos who also take American players and I don't worry at all about it.
The USA government might think they rule the whole world, but fortunately, they do not.
What do you think they are going to do; send their army to invade Malta, Israel & Costa Rica and close all the casinos down???

We, as the citizens, are solely and collectively responsible for this.

When a good, decent person runs for any political office we have to learn to ignore what the big 2 parties say about that person and do our own research and vote accordingly.

I believe Ron Paul was our last great hope for the foreseeable future.

Well.. no... but most of them use the same processors for USA as for you legals, and when the DOJ gets ready to take a processor (and all their monies) they do it. Leaves everyone in a bit of a lurch.

I used to love Villento and Rich Reels, which were MG/Level 11, and I also like Playtech slots, so the answer is yes, I would definitely play on non-US casinos if I could.

I would continue playing on 3Dice - I honestly feel it's one of the very best casinos online, US or non-US. I don't play much RTG anymore, but when I do, I play on Sloto, as they have a proven track record of serving well all its customers. Club World is also a fine group.

I don't play nearly as much as I used to though, due to the headaches involved. I would probably play more poker than casino stuff if I could, like Pokerstars.

Ah, but players who are NOT in the USA don't have to use those "risky" processors.
I deposit using Neteller & Skirll - both of those do not get involved with USA players, and so are safe from the DOJ.

It is NOT illegal with the exception of a few states

Actually, their is no US federal law on the books that declares online gaming to be illegal; however, a few states have laws on the books that do. Every single accredited site on CM refuses to open accounts in those states.

I am not a lawyer and I'm not going to take the time to research specifics but if you want to know about the legislation that was passed in Washington in 2006 I know you can Google it easily.

I love my country and I am proud to be an American. That being said, the way things work in Washington DC--as in all other forms of government--often f--ked up. The Federal Wire Transfer Act was tacked on to a bill that was in NO WAY related to online gaming. This was done at the insistence of one legislator in order to get his vote on that bill which would ensure its passage.

Basically the act is contradictory and and vague but essentially it declares wire transfers of money from outside the USA for the purpose of wagering on sporting events to be a federal crime. Like many laws, it fails to clearly establish exactly what the law is and what is and is NOT legal.

Since banks and processors really cannot possibly know if there was any sports betting involved--it became considered to risky to knowingly assist in transferring funds associated with ANY form of gambling.

I also miss the opportunity to play primarily at Microgaming Casinos like so many others. I had tried RTG once or twice but doubt I would have ever become loyal to an RTG had it not been for "Black Friday."

As long as they are accredited on this site and in some cases even if they are not, you have absolutely no reason to fear US Facing Casinos. I am certain the that dealing with the legal challenges and processing hassles for these casinos is a hefty but relatively SMALL price to pay for being the only fish in the richest ocean.
