The site was down for about eight hours today due to a log file that had grown too big and knocked the hamster off of his tread mill.

Sorry 'bout dat :D

We'll all chip in and buy a bigger hamster and wheel :D
Glad to see all is up and running again. After a few hours of trying to get here, I started to wonder if maybe it was something wrong on my end.

Hamsters are very unreliable types.

I thought my DNS/ISP problem had returned. :p

Happy to see everything is back to normal in meisterland.

I thought it might have been something at my end, or Orange (the local ISP) which is notorious for going off the air without notice ... so I'm wondering if the rest of you were having the same problems I was.

I wasn't getting any errors, just blank pages. Is that what the rest of you were getting too?

Mine was saying Internet Explorer could not show the page because of 1. Diagnostic Problems 2. Not connected to the Internet or 3. Website might be experiencing difficulties.

Maybe there should be some sort of Emergency Broadcast System in the future lol. Like an email emergency system to let us know its not on our end. :D

IE gave me the same splash page. First, I thought maybe Bryan was fiddling with the site... then after a few hours had gone by and I still couldn't get here, I blamed my DSL/ISP -- which is usually quite reliable, and even when they do have a problem, they always tell me it's my PC anyway, everything's just fine on their end, thank you very much. At least I wasn't the only one in a mousie panic. :D

I am going back in time and going to make the "Sports Talk" post I was going to make at 7:55 PM CST anyway......

Just letting you know i'm getting the same error when viewing Link Outdated / Removed

Its a link to "Top 5 stats > Options > View more results"

This is usually how I browse the site as it lists all the latest posts in order, an excellent feature! Saves having to go into each section of the forum.

At 3 AM on a Sunday morning? - yeah, right :p

I had already had breakfast and lazed around a bit. And when I finally cranked up the meister machine around 10 AM to see what was up, I noticed the stupid hamster just chillin' in his cage. So I threw my slipper at him rattling his cage enough to get him going back on track.

It ain't easy sometimes...

Actually, that is one of the files that caused one of the log files to freak out. I had to diasable for now and I'll be investigating this tomorrow when I get back to work.

Ditto (same problem) but for several weeks now!

...... So where was Vortran then, shouldn't he be keeping an eye on things when you are off work?

I blamed Microgaming, as it wasn't just Casinomeister, but the lobby pages of all my MG casinos that gave me the old bull**** about "not being connected to the internet" as I logged into the casino and saw my balance:D

These were accredited casinos though, perhaps they were out in sympathy;)

Like the hamster, I was snoozing during the outage.

However, on a somewhat-related note, I have noticed that my ISP (Verizon) has now started hijacking non-existent websites with their own "friendly" page mentioning how the website could not be found. I don't like that. It gives a "big brother is watching" feel to the whole browsing experience. In fact, it makes me wonder if the websites actually do exist but are being blocked by Verizon.

Anyway, if the hamster starts slacking again, place his hind legs in a bowl of salt water and immerse a live wire with exposed ends into the water. That should get him moving.
