Good day all.
Just a query re this casino, is it common practise to restrict accounts after a certain amount of deposits?

I had just made a deposit then my account got restricted.
I could no longer play, deposit or withdraw.
I received a notice to fill in a source of wealth and my documents were uploaded earlier today (still awaiting approval)

I would of thought the correct way woulkd be not to allow deposits until all is verified not take deposits then
restrict accounts.

Thanks

An MT SecureTrade casino.
They're quite famous for pulling dirty tricks like that with SOW requests.
Although it's usually withdrawals, they hold to ransom.
So it's quite normal for them.

I just wanted to link you to the Videoslots SOW thread... but then i saw that one was made by you.
Yeah, its getting common, i havent had to do one personally (yet).
Unfortunately theres quite a few negative experiences with SOW -- but then also some positive ones like @dunover had at Casumo where they talked him through the whole thing on chat, took over an hour IIRC.

As time goes on one would hope that all Casinos manage to do this in a quick and professional manner.

Yes, But not at all I have "invested" over £100,000 at 5 casinos who are accredited here and only one videoslots asked for the SOW.
So the regulations are not clear.

Hey mate!

I've google Torquay and it seems you from UK (quite beaty and awesome place from what I see).

From what your wrote, I can guess it seems that it's like you in some sort of database of customers for UK, for which casinos must do some actions (like asking SOW). And from your post earlier - you deposit a lot. Seems like actions are taken by this. Can't guarantee, just what I think.

Wish you awesome weekend!

Br,

V.

Yep, that's about right. I had great help and live assistance to get it done quick, still did my head in.
I vowed it'd be the last time ever - it has been.
Small deposits spread about a few casinos now, and they're increasingly rare for reasons of time.

I think the point that the OP was making was that they waited until he'd made a deposit before triggering the request.

Ok, maybe that deposit crossed some threshold. But why can't they trigger the request, when a deposit is attempted, before it's processed, rather than after it's processed? Or even flag the account to trigger before the next deposit.

i have almost the opposite issue, with another MT secure trade site (rizk).
i have deposited and lost over 30,000 euro there. and before depositing more, inasked livechat if we could get any potential SOW/SOF issues out of the way, before i deposit again. because the idea of getting account restrictions and being at a casinos mercy is awful to me, and encourages playback of any winnings and a stressful process
they refused to do so however and said nothing is required but if needed in the future we will ask you.
fine, but it does mean i wont deposit anymore there to avoid any issues

sof/sow is one big mess

See when casinos are getting fined £7m quid for not following responsible gaming is it really any wonder they ask for SOW?
