Don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere, and I haven't looked in great detail, but I rather think Shoot is just a clone of Gold Factory...

I guess it's MG just trying to quickly cash-in on the upcoming European Football Tournament - like they did for the World Cup when they cloned Tomb Raider to make World Cup Mania in 2006.

I've not looked at Shoot! yet, even though I used to get the magazine religiously as a kid because although I love football. It struck me it might just be another clone and I've never once seen a footie-themed slot that was even half decent anyway LOL.

Bearing in mind that England failed to qualify for any world cups during the 70`s (1970 we were holders = automatic qualification), i`m going on the assumption that the slot devs picked an England player from the same era as the others by merit, this merit being that Keegan had somehow managed to retain England captaincy for a high majority of the 70`s, and thus without them doing much research came to the foregone conclusion that Keegan must have been the best England had to offer from the relative era.

However, if they would have done just a little more research they would have discovered that a certain England captain had managed to do, what no other has managed since, lift the World Cup......
