Just out of interest, why oh why do people play slots for 'fun' money?

If you don't hit anything its hardly much fun and if you do then you wish you were playing for real money. A surefire way to get yourself annoyed it seems.

Fair enough to do it in a game where optimum strategy is important (BJ, VP etc) but you hardly need to practice playing slots

I can only answer for myself...

But there are several reasons I play slots for fun....

1) I don't lose money that way
2) I work 50 hrs a wk with about 5 hours of work to actually do= much time to kill
3) When I gamble, I like to be paid right away and since
4) I don't have a bank account or credit card, I can't anyway
and
5) I spend most of my money on drugs these days, that leaves precious little for gambling
6) I enjoy understanding the probabilities and ananlyzing the games and you don't need to spend money to do that (I understand most people who are given to understanding and analysis don't play slots, but we're talking about me here).
Probably several more reasons I could think of but you get the picture

Low roller that I am, I was pretty pleased with this hit -- that's why I saved it -- but then when I went back and really looked at it...

$1.35 bet
5 - eyeball jars
5 - potion bottles
2 - mini jabba's (twice)
and if I'm not mistaken the witch (wild) also substitutes for the scatter, so I also have
4 - scatters.

And only $69 payoff? Sheesh....

I have "practiced" slots to see the different payoffs for different amounts and what kind of bankroll I might need to really get a good roll going. Thats the reason I play in play mode usually when a new game comes out.

It has worked for me in the long run...specially with the new penny slots...

Halloweenies, for a nickle bet, I would need 4000 coins I learned to get a good run. The 2cent bet would be about 2000 coins.

All the Golden Goose ones, I would need almost 8000 for nickle and 5000 for 2cent.

Most interesting how this works over a period of time...

This is what hapopened when I played the new Intercasino games...called support right away and took 2 shots to show it was in "real" time and it hit 18 bonus rounds (which of course I didn't get to play)...was too funny and hit 3 of a kind a few ways and ended up with nothing! Go figure..geezzes!

As you can see, I bet $2.25 and my balance was wiped out to $NaN.00

The first screen showed 80.00 in the progressive and the 2nd showed 81.00...did it quick too not to lose it lol..now..I am waiting to hear from them..

Thats unreal! And slightly worrying! Were you in Fun Mode here aswell? I sure hope so...on the otherhand NaN is "not a number" and therefore must be infinitity (as there is no number to describe what you won!) so if you're in Play For Real, you now own Intercasino and Cryptologic. Congrats Although it wont be long before someone takes you over too

I was playing for REAL money. Support confirmed that Ijust deposited through firepay and the amount of deposit then went to see the log of play to see what I was talking about and they said they had no record of ANY play.

I told her that I did 2 screen shots while we were talking and she was very nice but said there was nothing to make a screen shot of since I show I haven't played yet and my balance hasn't changed from initial deposit. Got me worrying over that!

I told her I would e-mail the screen shots and thats where we left off..now I am waiting to hear.....

Real mode shows you a menu box, with screen name and balance etc.. Play mode has no menu box and no name or balance.

Now that Simmo says I own the place, I feel RICH...woow wooo...

on the otherhand NaN is "not a number" and therefore must be infinitity (as there is no number to describe what you won!) so if you're in Play For Real, you now own Intercasino and Cryptologic.

This is a MAJOR RICK by Crypto/InterCasino considering as you were playing for real money. Nothing like beta testing the games before going live with them

Crypto log viewers have a cut-off point which you can re-set.
I think the default is only 10-days, so if it's more than 10-days since the incident, that could be why it's no longer visible in your log.
You can change the cut-off time using the 'settings' button at the bottom of the log screen.
Unfortunately it will not restore old logs, only extend the recording period for the future.

The 2 last times I have got a 4 to a royal in deuces wild 50-play with 0,20 cents coin size the result has been 0 natural royals, only a couple pathetic deuces royals... as those experiences have been so traumatic I haven't taken screenshots out of them at all.

That's why I'm glad I was low-rolling! Support argued that the joker is only an ace if played as a pair (wtf!).. since it was only $10, I just cashed out and started giving my business to another casino.

You should not give up, since it seems to be an error in the casino software. The rules (taken from another MG casino, since I don't have All Jackpots on my computer) say: "The Joker can only be used to complete a Straight, Flush, Straight Flush or Royal Flush. Otherwise the Joker is treated as an Ace." You should ask for your money back and tell the casino to take it up with Microgaming.
