It tends to be an "all or nothing" slot for me.
e.g. After my shot above, in the next 20 spins I went on to hit 2 wins with stars which were 35 and 40 x my bet - that took me from €45 down to €20 up.
I carried on playing & quit on evens - which is OK for me as I'm doing the WR on a bonus.

When I was playing another bonus in June/July I played StarBurst 6 times - made decent profit 4 times, even once & lost once; total +£365
So I'm not complaining really - you can't win 'em all!

Some may argue that these shots doesn´t belong in this thread, especially since one of the qualifies for the winner screenshots thread, but I disagree. The first one is in freespins mode with a 5x multiplier and a moneybag on the first reel would have been welcome.

Having not had much luck on Starburst with real cash, I set about it with fun money a couple of weeks ago.

Playing at 1EUR per spin, with a stop trigger of 50xstake or 1000 spins passed.

It's managed to get to 1000 spins on more than one occasion!

Biggest single hit I've ever had on it, and I must have put some 15,000 spins through it with fun money, on top of whatever I played with real money, is 120x stake.

According to the paytable 500x stake is possible, but I've never seen better than 120x stake. TBH I just think there are far too many 5-10x stake wins on the paytable.

As KK has noted it can put you nicely into positive territory with a series of 20-50x stake wins, but on a bad run it can quite quickly eat through 200EUR or so at 1EUR per spin, which is a poor show for what is essentially a very low variance slot.

Was on a bit of a mega-run at Ladbrokes over the last week or so - starting from £250-ish I'd got my balance up to well over £1,500!

Last night I decided to try an old favourite - Tomb Raider - and I experienced something I don't recall EVER getting close to...
I'd been betting £1.50 and doing OK - got 2 lots of free-spins and 3 lots of pick features in my first 95 spins - so I suppose I should really have been expecting it to die - but I never expected this!
Upped my bets to £3 and (including the last one at £1.50) it went 32 spins with NO wins whatsoever!

If it makes you feel any better I just went over 500 spins on Bruce Lee at Jackpot Party and didn't hit any of the three bonus rounds

(Yeah I know it's a high variance slot, but of the three bonus rounds, two of them can and do award absolutely nothing on a reasonably regular basis, so it's not like there's any sort of guaranteed decent pay when they do drop in.)

EDIT - About 550 spins in and I hit a bonus round, paid 5x stake

That does indeed look bad, but you have to remember that what you're seeing on the wheel there is no way a reflection of the true odds of the game. (The help file is very clear about this.)

So when you're on the middle ring of the wheel, your chances of hitting the MEGA JACKPOT aren't one in twelve, they're more like one in ten million. (And it's all pre-determined before you start.)

Here's a video of me getting to the same level on the wheel, the wheel feature is from three minutes in.

I know it 'feels' like you're getting very close to hitting the mega jackpot, but in reality it's no such thing

The reel strips and the weightings on Jackpot Party's slots are laughable TBH KK, you just have to put out of your head any notion that what you're seeing on screen in any whatsoever represents the real odds of stuff coming in.

All their slots with stacked wilds do it quite blatantly, spinning huge numbers of them past, but not landing (the Life of Luxury progressives are awful for this), Bruce Lee is another culprit, just keep an eye on how often those full three strips drop in on 3-4-5 when there's nothing to match up with them on 1 and 2

I honestly don't think there's much of a concept of 'reel strips' with most modern video slots, yes it may have been possible a few years ago with slots like Thunderstruck to work out the RTP from 'decrypting' the reel strips, but to my mind that's no longer the case.

Now it's just a matter of keeping the so-called 'near misses' coming in with tedious regularity.

Jackpot Party's slots are arguably the worst offenders though
